I should not have gone back because not following up was an indication of poor customer service. It got worse. I had my car dropped off for repairs while I was on an extended out of town work trip. I heard nothing until my deductible payment was due. Then, I got a call and explanation why I hadn't heard anything. When I arrived home I noticed the left side bumper was not flush. I took the car back and they did a quick repair. Wrong size/missing screw. Then, I mentioned my trunk wasn't closing properly. I was told that had nothing to do with the bumper replacement. So, I went to another body shop and they said the bumper/trunk tail panel was not lined up correctly and that would have been from the bumper replacement. They recommended taking it back to the body shop (Lafata) that did the repair. I called Lafata and the women who I had been dealing with made it clear she did not think their work had caused the trunk problem (which had no problem before i took the car there but said she would put a supplement in for insurance. That was 6 days ago and the supplement was not submitted. So, now I will deal with another body shop to get the repair fixed. Unfortunate. I try to support small businesses. I wish I had not supported this one and do not recommend using this body shop

Even tho I…read moredidn't have a collision job, I was quoted a pretty decent price for a brand new transmission so I had my car dropped off on April 29. I finally got it back yesterday on June 9. They kept making up excuses as to why it took so long to replace the transmission until finally 7 days ago they said I could pick it up. $4400 later and the RPM was running high and my car was making a weird noise. Then my car started leaking fluid and eventually it shut down because the engine was too hot. So I had to get it to towed back to collision collision. Turns out the mechanic told someone at the shop that they did give me my car back way too soon. They kept telling me they were test driving it but the mechanic never did test drive it. The whole experience was a complete nightmare and the worst professional experience I've ever had in my life. And to end it all, I was trying to call the shop to see if my car was ready yesterday but Damien kept hanging up when I called. He just yelled THEYRE REPLACING THE TURBO YOUR CAR WILL BE READY TO PICK UP AT 1 and hung up. And kept hanging up when I was calling back. Don't fucking bother with this place.
