XOXOXOX" but honestly, we are goddamn DIRTY. We are both long haired brunettes, we own two long-haired cats, we drink a lot of beer and wine, and I eat like a person with a hole in their chin. On an off day, our apartment looks like the "GLUTTONY" murder scene from the movie Seven (just kidding, potential husbands). So when we had to move out of our place, we figured we might want to make it look less like a disaster zone and more like a habitable living space. After a couple failed attempts using deal-of-the-day type cleaning services where the poor over-worked cleaners did their best but their frail, ammonia-eaten arms couldn't work through our mess, we called the Green Clean Company on the recommendation of a friend, and THANK GOD, because we got to easily move out of a home that doesn't belong on "Hoarders: The Early Years." Perfect windows, clean floors, no more cat hair, and spills cleaned. Our kitchen looked better than it has since like, 2008. Plus they use a air filter which is awesome because now there is actual air and not cath-air. Thanks to Marlina and the rest of the very efficient staff for tricking people into thinking we are not disgusting. Future renters of this apartment, you have no idea. HA.

There were a couple minor oversights, like the laundry room was basically skipped, and big corner of the kitchen floor, but overall it was a good and thorough cleaning for a reasonable price. They bring an air filter to clean any dust that is stirred up as the clean. Initially they were very prompt and communicative; they returned calls right away, showed up on time for the quote and the cleaning. However, after the initial cleaning the Green Maids became kind of flaky. I couldn't settle on a next appointment date, and they didn't always call back. They even left their air filter behind on accident, and I couldn't get them to pick it up. Finally I just gave up. Overall, I'd give them 4 or 5 stars for the actual cleaning services, but have to give them 1 or 2 in administration for never calling back. Customer service would be right in the middle because initially they were great, but in the end they were flaky.

We moved in and found that the unit was not thoroughly cleaned from when the previous renters lived there so we did some research and decided to hire Fresh-n-Home. I had high hopes for this company because the other reviews were outstanding, but unfortunately I was disappointed. The unit was empty when we hired them to come in and clean so I didn't think they'd have any issues finding the areas that needed to be deep-cleaned. There was candle wax splattered on the walls and floors; caked on grease on the cabinets; food splattered on the wall above the stove; a brown ring in the toilet; mold on the dishwasher; among other things. To their credit, they were able to remove the mold from the dishwasher and the brown ring in the toilet, but everything else appeared to be untouched. In fact, they even broke one of the handles on our toilet and left the pieces on the bathroom counter. I found it rude that they didn't mention the damage once they had left, so I emailed Kelly and she was courteous and offered to send the girls back to clean and fix what was missed. Keep in mind, the first time they came they spent about 4.5 hours "cleaning" the house. A couple days later they came back and fixed the toilet handle and wiped the food splatter off the wall. There was still wax on the wall and she asked me if I would like her to remove it, I said yes. She told me the first time they were there they weren't able to get the grease off the cabinets because we didn't have any hot water since the water heater wasn't turned on. By the end of it, we still had grease on our cabinets and our floors were dirty (even though I saw her mop). They just didn't seem as thorough as advertised. And we were charged $292.50...

After emailing a few housekeepers on Yelp, I settled on A Definite Difference as Patricia wrote back quickly on pricing for my home and was able to schedule a cleaning very quickly. She quoted me $75-$90 for my small one bedroom home, which was on par with her competition. Her cleaners showed up on time as promised, and I was surprised to see 3 of them. I figured I'd go run some errands so I could get out of their way, and when I returned just over an hour later, I was informed there was a leak under my bathroom sink. I have lived in my apartment for over a year and have never had a problem, yet somehow in the hour these cleaners were in my home, this leak came up on its own. The staff was very defensive when I said it was a very odd coincidence, which made me think they caused the leak. I spoke with Patricia on the phone, and she asked me to send a video of the leak. I sent that along with some photos of spots her cleaners had missed. Her reply was simply to get my email address for the invoice. I received an invoice for $90, and not even an apology for the leak or the missed spots. Most of the apartment was very clean, and they were definitely fast, but it seems very damning that a leak sprung while her staff were cleaning. I had to call a plumber and deal with that issue on my own, with no offer from Patricia to discount the cleaning. I have given her over a week to reach out to me and address the issues, but she ignored both the leak and the overlooked areas, so it is clear she's happy billing me and moving on. And the total was on the high end of the estimate, no less. I won't be using them again. Photos of the overlooked areas are attached to this review. UPDATE #1: Patricia posted a response on my review claiming I was supposed to contact her. I've uploaded a photo of our Yelp messages where she said she'd get back me. The only thing she got back with me about was the invoice, ignoring that there were overlooked spots. My place is an older building, not sure what that has to do with anything. And no, it wasn't "extremely dirty" before the cleaners. I have pictures I took of the apartment a few months before the cleaning was done, and it looks basically identical. Patricia never asked anything about the condition of the house, and I never claimed it was clean, dirty, or anywhere in between, so do NOT claim that I wasn't honest about ANYTHING. I can post the earlier messages as well, if you'd like, where I simply asked for pricing on mopping all the hardwood floors and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen. Listen, Patricia, you own a business, you need to act like you own a business. When a customer has an issue, you need to address it with the customer. I got no apology for the inconvenience of having to call a plumber, whether it was your staff's fault or not. Obviously I cannot prove they broke it, and you cannot prove they did not. But you don't ignore that. You apologize for what is now an inconvenience for me, and perhaps offer a discount for the trouble. Further, when I point out actual cleaning issues you've overlooked, you don't even address those issues? Again, no apology, no discount, nothing. Of course I'm going to post a detailed explanation of your poor business practices when you do that. I gave you every chance to make things right before coming here, but you didn't seem to want to do the right thing. And to come on here and say I wasn't honest about something. Sorry, YOU are the one who is not being honest. All of our conversations are documented, and I will post more screenshots if you want to keep making false accusations.
