Beyond disappointed. I'd been coming here for a little over a year then moved, now back in DTLA. I do have to say the place looks cleaner and less "sweat shop"-y but they increased their prices and the quality is worse. I went in to get a pedicure and left with a bleeding toe and paper thin polish; you can still see my toe nail through the single coat of polish. She apologized and tried to make the bleeding stop but continued on as if it didn't happen. Upon paying, I was told there was a "special reward" for paying cash, it wasn't until AFTER I paid they told me it had to be $50 or more. The whole experience seemed unethical and I hate when they try to upsell you on enhancements or additional services. There are way too many salons in LA to return to this lleh hole. read more

Second time here and my nail broke. Nail design? perfect. Nail shape? perfect. Nail integrity? - not good. because my nail has never broke before (hard gel on hands, almond shape) I came here for convenience - a recommendation from a friend nearby. My pedicure, toes polish and paint perfect. But the callous removal part, just wasn't good enough. My skin was in a peeling stage. Those small pieces of dead skin wasn't removed. I didn't notice till later because obviously my feet were all oiled up and pampered at the moment. She just did a "routine" pedicure on me instead of taking care of that issue that I have, you know what I mean? I love a quick service tho. Pros: -The paint and polish is great. -Quick service. -Nice people. Cons: -Poor integrity -Parking limited - Feels crowded (even though they service me right away) Other things I consider... I like the recess lighting and the pedicure chairs look nice and new. They didn't offer me a drink like the place I usually go to. But they are very nice and will gently move my purse or phone or put my sandals on. The staff however doesn't dress nice like the staff at the other location I go to. The Vietnamese ladies at the other place dress in all black - like a nice top or a dress sometimes heels, hair is nice too. I like that they take their beauty serious. The men dress casual but in black. The other place I go to is also more spacious and has glamorous decor. This place feels too small, the decorations are cute. The pricing for nails is ofcourse competitive everywhere. Here I feel like I save $10-20 and it's near by me. But since my nail broke, and my feet were not smoothed... it's really clouding my judgement. read more

There were a dozen staff members and no other customers, so I'm not sure why my nail lady was racing to finish. She used the grinding tool on my skin/cuticle area and also used a nail file AFTER my gel mani was done. There's polish on my skin, air bubbles in the gel, and the gel is lumpy. I requested a Gel Mani. They seated me right away. The nail tech was really pushy with extra services and trying to get me to choose a color. I had gel already that needed to be removed. Instead of buffing down the top layer of gel and applying acetone, she went RIGHT FOR THE DREMEL and took off the top layer of each of my nails (which DAMAGES THE NAIL), and then turned right around and offered a $15 Nail Strengthener. She also hit my skin MULTIPLE TIMES with the dremel tool, which caused me to say OUCH. She didn't say sorry ONCE. It felt very rushed. There's a tiny tiny tiny bubble in one of my nails, but it's there. And she just wasn't friendly. I mean, it's $30. You get what you pay for. But generally, the vibe of this place just feels like a quick unprofessional money grab. I won't be back. You can't call yourself a NAIL SPA and then beat the crap out of someone's nails. WORST NAIL SALON - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I came in just to get my nail polish removed, and they completely destroyed my nails in the process. Within 10 to 20 minutes, they had switched four different people to work on me, showing how poorly managed this place is. Even after they claimed they were "done," I still had polish left on my nails. I had to point it out multiple times and ask again and again for someone to actually finish the job. To make things worse, they left my nails soaking in removal liquid far too long, which badly damaged my nail beds. Instead of a simple polish removal, my nails ended up ruined because of their carelessness, lack of attention, and constant switching off between staff. This salon is unprofessional, disorganized, and careless! Save your time, money, and nails! DO NOT come here! read more

On Thursday, 7/10 I stopped by for a gel manicure. The next day, my finger was swollen and slightly purple with pain. I soaked it in warm water twice. By Monday, my finger was extremely hot and in so much pain. I scheduled a doctors appt first thing Tuesday morning, 7/15 and the dr confirmed my finger was infected. I was diagnosed with paronychia and was prescribed antibiotic ointment that has to be applied for 10 days. I will never return. Additionally, I will be calling to get a refund. This place is so hit or miss. I used to come here in college and they were pretty good it was convenient. I moved and started coming back a couple months ago for the first time in a few years. The first two times I came and got my gel X they were great. I wish I could remember who did my nails but I was silly and didn't ask for names. These last two times though have been really rough. Just left after getting my nails done by Kim who some people seem to love but I guess I got on an off day. She was nice and friendly and appeared to be doing okay until it came to the actual finishing of my nails. Some nails have top coat flooding over onto my skin. Others the top coat doesn't even cover the entire nail so they're rough to the touch because of the fairy dust. Just sadly the kind of nails you get home and continue finding problems with.
