Copy and Pasting the email I sent to avoid leaving a bad review but never got a response .... I am not one to normally write bad reviews as I am a business owner, myself; however the more I think about and tell friends about my experience today I can not leave it unsaid. I am visiting from out of town and came in to get my nails done this afternoon. I'm not sure of the lady's name, but she was in the back towards the sink at the first chair and had a cup that was pink and white with bows on it. I explained to her that I had hard gel on my nails and that I did not really care if she wanted to fill them in with hard gel, or completely take everything off and do a full acrylic set. Whichever was easier was fine with me as I was a walk in and it was busy at the time I was there. I was under the impression that she was going to put acrylic over the hard gel that I already had on, so I said again "this is hard gel on my nails right now". She got an attitude and said "I understood you the first time!! You've already told me that" When she started drilling my nails, she asked if my last set was from there and I told her no, I normally do them myself because I am a hairstylist and stain them with color so I normally do not pay to have them done. She responds, "well that explains why they look so bumpy". I thought this was rude. The last straw for me was before I even knew what my total was or got out of my chair, she asked if I was tipping cash. I find it extremely rude (as someone who is in the same line of work and receives tips, I would NEVER ask a client about how they were tipping as I do not EXPECT a tip EVER and especially before I tell someone their total). I am not asking for a refund or anything along those lines and my nails really do look great, however, I was not impressed with the customer service I received today and thought someone should know about it. Do not go to Polish Bar to get your nails done. Asked for a certain technician. Sat there for over an hour. Asked about being ssen. Rudely got told there was appointments ahead of me and I would have to wait till they were done with them. At no time did anyone offer me any information till I asked and was rudely told by an employee. Told the owner he could've cared less. I got tips done before heading on vacation. I got my nails done on Tuesday, left the following Saturday and on Sunday I noticed the under side of my nails felt itchy. I didn't think much of it, it had been a while since I'd had my nails done. By the middle of the week they were itchy constantly and I still just thought maybe it was just irritation. When I came home from vacation, I soaked the nails off myself to see what was going on. I definitely have some kind of infection under several nails. I'm treating with antiseptic and antibiotic cream. I had the nails on a total of 11 days. I know some of the techs are super and I think they typically do good work, but I'm questioning the cleanliness after my experience. read more

If a client shows you a picture of what they would like done and it is beyond your skill set.....man up and say so!!! I visit this place when I'm in the area and I get the one dude that has no personality or skill!! Took him forever to find my colors, powder, and didn't listen to what I said regarding the nail shape, he did what he wanted and this is this worst set I have ever had ever!!! Tina is the BEST nail tech! I've been going to her for almost 2 years now and I've never been disappointed. She always makes sure I am happy and if I request a specific color she knows won't look good with my skin tone, she tells me (very sweetly) instead of just slapping the color on with no regard for how it will look. Hanna and Stephanie are also gems -- Stephanie gives the most AMAZING pedicure and she is so fun to talk to! made an appointment and didn't get seated to start pedicure until 30 minutes later, then sat in the pedicure chair for an extra 10 minutes before someone started. My big toe was gushing blood by the end of my pedicure and the lady kept messing with it even though it was bleeding. I brought my very excited 14 year old to have acrylics done for a special school event. They look horrible. The nails used do not fit properly as the sides of her actual nail is showing on several, they are ridiculously thick looking and the tips serm to point upward! She doesn't even feel good about them. I have been going to Polish Nail Bar for a couple of years every couple of weeks. I almost always make an appointment with Vicky for acrylic nails or just fill-ins. She is always friendly and does a great job on my nails. She always listens carefully to what I want done with my nails. She uses gel polish on my nails and they always look shiny from one appointment to the next. I never have a problem with the nails lifting or breaking. I have also seen Tina and Hannah. They were both very friendly and did a great and painless job on my nails. No one has ever been rude or disrespectful to me and I have never observed anyone around me being treated in an impolite manner. I highly recommend Polish Nail Bar to anyone looking for friendly and knowledgeable technicians with a nice atmosphere. read more

Update to my previous review, I started seeing Angela at the Polish Bar, and she has been wonderful! I think the person I had when I first wrote this review may have been new or just having an off day. I've been back several times specifically to see Angela. She is always quick and courteous. This was my first visit to polish nail bar. The service was relatively quick but the price was a little high. They do your nails at a bar instead of individual mail stations. The bar idea is neat, but it's really not comfortable for guests, the countertop can be rough on the elbows and the stools can cause a little back pain. I am not sure if I would visit this salon again. read more

Terrible experience!!! Iwent to Polish Nail Bar to get my nails done. They wrinkled and were messed up the first time so I had to return. After having them fixed for the second time and being cut in the process twice, they began to chip and peel and wrinkle once again. When I expressed wanting to get my $50 back because this was the second time and I wanted them redone somewhere else, I was told they could redo them a third time or offer me $15 but not a full refund, but I got a terrible attitude from their workers for free. I came in with a picture of an opal nail color with a stiletto shape, but told her I wanted a tombstone/coffin shape, and even mimicked the shape on the partition with my finger. She advised me that they didn't have the opal, so I needed to a choose a different color. I told her I wanted a black/red ombre. She asked me 3 seperate times if I wanted the black on the bottom or the top and I said black on bottom red on tip. Which to me means black on the base, red on the tip. She said ok. She cut my nails shorter, which I was fine with, but then went in for a hard diagonal cut which I didn't realize, with how short she cut them, wouldn't make the tombstone/ coffin shape. When she started putting the black powder on, she put it on all the tips of one hand, then put the red on the base on my pinky and asked if that was okay. At which point I finally got the nerve up to say no, and I repeated black on the bottom, red on the tip. That's when she rolled her eyes. She then said, I asked you which way. And I told her again, while pointing at the bottom and tip of the nail, black on bottom and red on tip. I then asked her if it was going to stay stiletto or be tombstone/coffin shape. She pointed to my nail shape and said that its like the picture I showed her. That's when I reminded her again that I had told her when I showed her the picture that I didn't want stiletto, and had drawn on the partition the shape I wanted and told her tombstone. She rolled her eyes again. At this point, I told her it was fine, because I was upset. I've got really bad social anxiety, and standing up for myself in a service situation is not something that I'm normally up for. So then I started crying while trying to not have a panic attack in the nail salon. Its the very first time I've been thankful for these dang masks. Then she asks if she had made me sad, and I said, no I'm fine, I'm sorry, I just have anxiety. She asked me if I wanted her to round the nails to almond. I said no, it was fine. I don't like almond. She then rounded them to almond. Last point was she put the shimmer top powder on. I think she was trying to be nice, but I'm not a glitter/ shimmer nail type girl. If anything, a gloss top coat is about to much. She didn't charge me for the shaping, but I paid $50 bucks for nails that aren't the color I wanted, then were done upside-down on the ombre, then were stiletto shaped instead of tombstone/ coffin, then were shaped almond after I said no, and then had shimmer put on that I didn't want, without even being asked. They are so thick that I'm not going to be able to adjust the shape without them looking even worse. I'm not saying they are horrible here, but I would tell you to go somewhere that will listen to you when you speak because when you spend money on something extra you shouldn't have to be so upset you cry and come out hating what you got. Now I get to go pay to have them removed and a whole new set done, but definitely not here. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! ESPECIALLY WITH VIVIAN or whatever the heck her name is! Vivian didn't want to soak off the acrylic on my moms toes so instead she said she couldn't do it. After I asked specifically about it when I booked our appointments. The lady then took her mask off and got attitude with us by speaking rudely and throwing her hands up when we asked what she was going to do about the hole at the top of her toe where the acyclic needed to be fixed. Vivians response was if she took the acrylic off it would take her toe nail with it!! non sense of a response! I tried asking why she couldn't soak the acrylic like they would with nails and she got mad at us. While Vivian was completing her fill on her nails she took the file and drummer multiple times to the side of my moms finger because some skin was sticking up.You would think my mom pulling her hand away each time saying owe this Vivian lady would have gotten the message but NOPE! She flat out didn't care. This lady by no means should ever be able to work with customers. My nail broke after 1 week. I have tried to get through to the salon to speak to Brian about my moms experience but no one answer. And now my nail has broke. I wasted 80$ at this salon just alone on my nails and pedicure. Have been going here for over a year every two weeks and have always had to wait, regardless if I have had an appointment. There are never apologies and they seem to take back who they want in any order, no matter if they signed in after you as a walk in. After waiting and seeing two such walk ins taken back in front of me today, I went to pay for my pedicure and daughter's nails. I was not going to wait any longer for my mani. Tried to upsell me on dip powder but when I told him I go every two weeks, he quickly backed off knowing it was too much for me. Do not waste your time here. Went in on a Friday and asked for gel polish, told that I needed to try dip. That it was stronger and would last 3 weeks. First nail chipped on the following Monday and broke my nail with it. Now 6 days later, 3 nails chipped. Went in on my lunch hour to discuss with the nail technician, was told I would have to wait until she finished with another new set. I was not a priority since my money had already been paid. $50 down the drain, not even a week of wear. Very unhappy with customer service. read more

I have always had bad experiences with polish nail bar, but my friends and I decided to give them another shot. First of all we had an appointment @9:45 for a full set and a pedicure, and we didn't get seated until 10:20. I had plans and didn't get my nails done until 11:05, and my plans were at 11. So i just said i would come back later and that it was no big deal! I came back later that day with yet another appointment and sat there waiting for 40 minutes. I left and went somewhere else. My nail tech was very sweet, but 2 days after a nail completely snapped off by washing my hair. I went back the next day to and get it fixed, no charge. That was very kind, but that same day i went to open the fridge, another nail snaps. I ended up just ripping them off. My friend always has nails on, and i mean they never break. she has quite literally never broken a nail. Yet her nail broke. My other friend has had the base of the nail coming off on 2 nails. This has over all just been an awful experience. The 2 girls I went to were beyond sweet, and maybe it's just the products they are using, but it's safe to say i will never recommend polish nail bar to anyone. I visited the Polish Bar to get a pedicure and a full set for a wedding. The good: the lady who did my pedicure was absolutely phenomenal. She did not try to upsell me, or talk me into getting more than what I paid for. She was talkative, but non-intrusive...you can tell she genuinely cared about you. She did a great job with the pedicure, too! If I only went here for a pedicure, this would absolutely be a 5 star rating. HOWEVER, I also got a full set of acrylic nails. I waited at the bar for at least 20 minutes, while several nail technicians talked amongst each other. One finally came over to me, and assisted with my nails. She was THE RUDEST person I've ever encounter in the nail business. She was rough - my poor cuticles are all cut up. If you'd move your finger even a little, she'd yell at you to " stop moving!" She didn't engage in any conversation, which is fine - but anytime she spoke it was absolutely unprofessional and rude. She doesn't care about the people she's assisting, and it shows. My nails look okay, but she never asked me to wash my hands to get the dry nail dust off, she never used cuticle oil to help heal them or to help the dryness, and she never even said goodbye. When I asked her to fix a nail that got smudged (in the same sitting) she said, "This is why you don't go cheap and you get what I told you to get" -referring to gel instead of normal polish. Anyway, because of this one lady and This one terrible nail experience, this place gets a 2 star rating from me. read more

I usually love this place and love there work and this is the only place I get my nails done but today I had a horrible experience when I went in and looked at jel colors and when I got sat down I gave him and example of the colors I wanted and said " I want an ombré between these two colors" and little did I know he had head phones in and didn't listen to a word I said and just agreed and then got everything done and got the acrylic on and he said "which one do you want" and I said " I told you I wanted ombré between the 2" and he literally laughed in my face and just made me pick a color so long story short didn't get what I wanted bc he didn't listen to me and also he was cutting my cuticles and actually cut chucks out of my actual skin and didn't say anything or do anything and left it bleeding I will be asking for a certain person next time because I never see that person and never will again someone needs to handle this.VERY LUCKY IF I EVEN RETURN read more

This salon came highly recommended but I will not return. First, I was left with my feet in the tub of water for over 15 minutes, after being told by the man who put me there that he'd be right back. After 15 minutes, as the water cooled, I dried my feet and started putting on my shoes. The original man saw me and told another man to do my pedicure. The second man was nice, but he also left me simply sitting there after he finished. I finally checked to see if my toes were dry, put on my shoes, paid, and left.
