Whenever I go to ocean city I always make it a point to get the polish ice. When I think of ocean city, I think of this polish ice stand. The polish ice here is super icy while having a creamy consistency. The ice is refreshing and perfect for a hot day at the beach. They offer you samples of each flavor. I suggest you get a half and half that way you can get two flavors in one cup! (Take a look at my attached picture to see how they present a half and half cup of polish ice.) I really like their watermelon flavor. It reminds me of a watermelon jolly rancher in its frozen form. The mango flavor almost tastes like I am taking a huge bite out of a super ripe mango. There are various locations along the boardwalk at ocean city. They were all offering free samples to try. They seemed to have about 10 flavors to try. Imagine Rita's Italian Ice mixed with ice cream. It is more smooth than Rita's.. but no dairy inside. Very smooth tasting. My girlfriend and I shared a large (about $4 plus change) of Blue Raspberry.. and it was delicious. The girl giving out the samples didn't look like she wanted to be at work.. but she seemed nicer to me than the old lady that was in front of me. read more

I HATE THIS STAND As others have mentioned, they blast this stupid guy talking about how great his ices are in a loop. The recording lasts like 30 seconds, so if you stand there for friends/relatives to get multiple samples you will hear the damned thing 3-4 times. The samples themselves used to be good, but they've gotten much stingier in recent years. This year they gave 1/3 of a tiny spoon full. Employees never look happy, but I wouldn't be either listening to that nasully voice all day. The ices themselves are smooth and have ok flavor, but they're not half as great as the recording makes it sound--nor as cheap as it promises. The variety of flavors is decent, but there are no stand outs. If you really want an ice in Ocean City and can't walk another block to find another place, then go ahead. But I didn't like it that much the first few times I tried it, and I've been boycotting it since. read more

Several of the water ice machines were broken and the flavors weren't available, the ice cream had terrible freezer burn. When we brought it to the owners attention, they did not offer us a refund, only, "I'm sorry". Would not recommend this place. There were seven of us. Very disappointing. read more

Ahhhhh YES, Polish Water Ice! My favorite boardwalk stand! The flavors are very tasty some of my fav combos are: Cherry & Lemon, Watermelon & Cotton Candy, and Cotton Candy and Blue Raspberry. I've tried almost all of the flavors over the past couple years of vacations. The prices are slightly high but when you consider the location, very reasonable for the boardwalk. Justin L. is right (almost). Yes the monotone loop of the guy saying the spiel about PWI is annoying, but it more like 3 minutes long not 30 seconds. So if you do here it 3-4 times in one visit, you should probably just buy a water ice and stop mooching free samples. It is true, the employees NEVER look happy, morning, noon or night but it's hard to blame them with that sound coming at them. One more tip to share, have polish water ice for dessert when the Wrapper is right next door and they do amazing things with pretzels! This is my favorite stand on the boardwalk. Ok so the weird recording playing talking over and over about polish ice is a bit creepy but that's ok. They have free samples so you won't be disappointed in the flavor you choose. My personal favorite is cotton candy. The ice has a great consistency unlike anything you can get elsewhere. This is a go to place for us every summer while walking the boards at night. We love chocolate the best! This is one of the few vegan (although it's vegan junk food!!) desserts you will find on the boardwalk in ocean city. I love this place. Amazing texture and flavor you can't find with other icy treats. Also the owner is such a nice guy! We did a surprise for my brother's Wedding and he had 150 pre-made cups in their favorite flavors ready from the freezer. This is some of the best water ice I've had - not sure if it's because I'm at the beach walking on the boards, but very good. I've had tried 6 or 7 of their flavors and have to admit the pina colada is my all time favorite. It's like Italian water ice, but more smooth. I did not get a chance to actually try this stuff for the following reasons: 1. The girl serving samples was rude and miserable, seemed more interested in sitting on the bench on boardwalk and talking with boyfriend. 2. The loop of the free sample and virtues of the stuff was too loud and played all day and into the night. I felt sorry for the poor folks who were staying in the ocean front rooms above this place. I am sure they payed premium prices for their rooms and had to listen to this man extoling the virtues of polish water ice over and over and over!!!!! 3. I hit up Polish Water Ice every time I'm on the Boardwalk. I usually get a wrapper (located next door) and wash it down with a lemon or cherry water ice. I often see people walking around with snow cones and can't help but wonder why they would get a snow cone when there is Polish Water Ice. My fiance's answer, they've never tried it.
