Recommend? Yes... but.... I was disappointed with the beginning, not sure if I will be back. I had a friend visiting us from NM. She really wanted a manicure & pedicure but she continues her drive to see her son in NC. I have not had a manicure in maybe 20+ years but said 'ok, girl thing to do!'. We arrived 5 minutes before our appointment. We had an appointment with RAN, but quickly learned (not told, just deducted that looking around) he wasn't there...an older man got on his phone., went to the back room. He was clearly upset with someone. Language barrier prevented me from understanding who he was speaking, though I could guess! The older man said he would start my friend's pedicure, I just sat on a chair next to her chatting. 25 minutes later Ran came in...I dislike people who are late and don't APOLOGIZE! He called me over to a chair that wasn't brushed off, and the table wasn't clean & ready for a manicure. He donned a mask and started soaking my hands etc... when he went to filing my nails he didn't ask how I wanted them. Well, I stopped him and told him I wanted flat not rounded. When he went to turn on a little fan, it didn't work but he came around the table and rr plugged it. The older man finished my friend's pedicure, then while my nails drying in the fan Ran did my friend's nails. On a side note, the next day one nail just snapped off, and the day after that another one snapped.... Not sure who is to blame as I was not hard on my nails. read more

I have been going to Polished nail spa for 3 to 4 years my nail tech is Ran and sometimes Brittany has done my nails and they do absolutely fantastic every time I'm out of town I always get different compliments from men and women they have never failed me my nails always turn out so clean so pretty and very much Polished. The other nail techs are amazing here everyone provides quality work. The wait time isn't long when I go here. I had a poor experience at Polished yesterday. My nails are too thick and crooked. I asked the technician to use forms instead of tips. I'm not sure if it was a technique issue or she was rushing because it was getting late. She also used too strong of a bit with the efile around my cuticle and cut three of my fingers. When I saw blood she said sorry, you should be more relaxed. I heard good things about them! Unfortunately my experience didn't line up. read more

Let's start with saying that I've never given a 1-star review...... but my god. The worst part about this place is their dishonesty. When traveling to Knoxville in mid-August, I purchased a $70 gift certificate for two mani/pedi combos for my pregnant sister, who isn't due until March 27... but I figured she could go at her leisure and get two mani/pedis, which are much needed when you're expecting. When my sister went to the salon in December, they said they wouldn't honor her gift certificate because it had been more than 90 days.... They said the gift certificate (value and all, not just promotion) expired after 90 days no matter what, but that wasn't written anywhere on the certificate. They wouldn't even honor $70 worth of service, they said she would have to pay full price. I don't understand how $70 goes away after 90 days, regardless the promotion, and why she couldn't just get a pedi for $23 or something. The manager wouldn't return any calls. SHAMEFUL. The studio isn't professional in the least. To boot, a minor was cleaning while his mother was doing nails. No no no! After investigating, I discover that this salon isn't licensed or accredited by any board in TN... it's an operation run by a mogul in Vietnam. People, please keep your money in the USA! I went to polished for the first time in a long time two weeks ago. I got tips and a full set. Within a few days the tips pulled off my real nail and dirt was getting in them. I went back to have them redo my nails and decided to get a pedi too. The guy was taking off my old gel polish from my previous pedicure and ripped half of my big toe's polish off. He apologized and after about five to ten minutes my toe stopped bleeding. He finished my feet and I got my nails fixed. After everything was said and done, they charged me for my pedicure and manicure. Needless to say, I cannot wear closed toed shoes without my toe bleeding. And they also charged me to fix their original mistake. I'll never go back there again. The only positive is that my nails do look better the second time around.... Minus my toes. read more

The owner took full advantage of my daughter's money we went there for a dip set and a full set of acrylic coffin style when we leave the bill was $150 when I call and ask for the prices over the phone the full set is $35 for acrylic and $5 extra for the coffin.. I enjoy going here! Prices, location a and staff are what i was looking for after moving from another state. Been to many nail salons and techs i haven't left polished nails since i started going. This place was dirty. I'm not sure if anything is ever cleaned, everything had film over it. I don't think I've ever been to somewhere that was so dirty. On top of that I got a fill-in and they automatically through gel polish on top and charge me $22 for a fill in!!!! Several problems with this hack nail shop... First of all, I called ahead to see if there was availability to put the new OPI gel for natural nails on my nails. The high pitched voice girl who works there said "we're very busy right now", after which I asked what time they closed. Two hours into the future. So I asked her if I came in if there would be a way for me to be seen before they closed, and she said "oh, absolutely!" I then went to the salon and proceeded to wait. Not that I minded. Not for FAR beyond a reasonable amount of time. You don't find out until you get there that they have a skeleton crew of THREE people working. Any city has literally hundreds of nail salons, so great to waste a trip to and half a day in just one in particular when I could have gone to any of dozens of others in the general vicinity who just might have adequate staff... But then onto the actual "service"... OPIs new colored gel for natural nails is a SOAK OFF product. Several times while waiting patiently for my turn I asked them "to save time, should I soak them while I'm waiting?" To this the guy and another woman who work there both replied "oh, we can get that off easily." I asked them what they meant by "get it off" and never got a straight answer. I then said, SEVERAL times, I don't want anybody drilling or prying anything off my nails (a major point to using this product is to NOT destroy your nail bed like all the acrylics I sat there and watched them apply to everyone else). This stuff is supposed to be gently SOAKED off of the nails. It took several separate verbal exchanges of my insisting this before the guy finally mumbled to the other girl "is it supposed to soak off, I don't know?" and she replied that it was. At that point I was FINALLY given a bowl with polish remover to soak in. The funniest part was that when they finally gave me the seat and the bowl to soak in, it was right next to the poster for the new product, which clearly said, "OPI...SOAK OFF gel." Clearly a mystery. Adding to the comedy was the flier just opposite that which read "Any customer has the right to refuse to have their nails drilled." I guess you have to refuse ENOUGH TIMES for them to actually respect it? So fast forward to well over an hour after soaking and everything else, watching people come in and go and me just still sitting and I finally called and found another nail salon that just might have more than three people employed there, so it doesn't require sitting and breathing acrylic fumes for hours to get seen. This apparently pissed off the high pitched girl who then said "you can just leave." I let her know I'd already planned to do so (obviously). At this point she started telling me how she had supposedly told me over the phone that "you can't be seen today" rather than the reality which was that in her chipper voice she had told me nearly an hour and a half prior that "of course" I could eventually be seen as a walk in, they were just busy at that moment. I walked out 15 minutes before their closing time no closer than when I arrived to getting a service that, if they did know anything about their new gel product (and they make it so obvious they don't that they have no qualms about just saying "I don't know anything about it"), requires a lot more than 15 minutes to do and do right. read more

I've previously had very good experiences here, but the last time I went they were extremely over crowded and rushing. Normally they will tell someone to come back or they won't start until they are done with their current customer. This time they were scrambling around trying to get back to their multiple customers per employee. As the oldest man proceeded to scrub my foot he scrubbed so hard that it broke the skin. You already know they use that thing on everyone so I am currently fighting an infection that was caused by this place. Better be careful! read more
