I've been a loyal client of Polished for years and have always had great experiences, which is why this recent visit was so disappointing. Until now, I had never had a single issue and trusted the salon because their technicians consistently did a solid job. During my most recent visit for a manicure and pedicure, a newer technician was assigned to my pedicure. I didn't think much of it, as I've always had confidence in the staff. Unfortunately, while working on my cuticles, she cut my toe quite badly. She seemed unsure of how to handle the situation and repeatedly dunked my foot into the soapy water, which was painful and uncomfortable. At the same time, another technician was doing my manicure, and the combination of pain, confusion, and stimulation made what should have been a relaxing experience extremely stressful. The technician continued by applying nick powder repeatedly until the bleeding stopped, but the remainder of the pedicure felt rushed and incomplete. Very little care or attention was given afterward to make the experience better. To make matters worse, she then brought out hot stones and placed one directly on my leg without checking the temperature first, resulting in a burn. At that point, I was overwhelmed and began to cry. The owner came over and said he would "take care of me." Since the service was already halfway done, I chose to finish simply so I could leave. I was shocked when I was then asked to pay for the services, with only a 10% discount off the pedicure. Given that I was cut and burned during the same appointment, it felt careless and extremely unprofessional to even suggest payment for such a poor experience. Ultimately, I did not pay for the pedicure. Days later, my toe is still sore, and I'm genuinely concerned about the possibility of an infection. This was, without question, the worst pedicure I've ever had. I never expected to write a review like this about a salon I've supported for so long, but this experience felt unsafe and poorly handled. Accidents happen, but how they're addressed matters. I hope Polished takes this seriously, improves training for new technicians, and reevaluates how situations like this are managed. Unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable returning. read more

My grandma and cousins have been frequenting Polished for years. Vicky has been my grandma's tried and true nail tech for the entire time and she's truly the best there is. She takes the best care of my grandma including helping her put her shoes back on. It's so sweet!!! If you're looking for a good pedi, I recommend David! I've loved all the times he's done my feet. I was super disappointed and unsatisfied. My nail tech was a guy. I am choosing not to give his name. However I've been going here for about a year seeing the same tech. Has always done a superb job! I have even talked him up to others telling them who my nail tech is. However, today was not a good day and I will NOT be back. I first noticed something was wrong when he started nodding off constantly. He then would twitch and wake back up. He would nod off while painting my nails, to the point he was painting the air. He was so hunched over at one point (almost in his lap) I asked him "are you okay?" "I do not like my nails. This doesn't look good. You have completed my right hand but you totally forgot my left hand." No joke, he completed my right hand and then tried to complete my left hand without doing all the buffing and filing... his response "giggles" I didn't have the courage to ask if he was on something but it was clear he wasn't in his right mind. I left with "okay" nails, a cut on my pointer finger that is throbbing, and I had to come home and file to get all the clear polish off my skin. I wish I would've spoken to the manager. Not looking for anything free, but more concern for the nail tech. Totally outta character and makes me wonder if anyone else noticed today or if he got called out. I won't be going back. I have been bouncing around to nail salons since starting back up in nail care for myself a couple months ago. After a couple experiences at others that were good but my sns manicure not lasting past 2 weeks and the designs/ vision not being executed how I imagined I was urged to try Polished due to their quality of service and design execution per a stranger I met and commented on their nails. I'm glad I listened! I made an appointment and when I walked in they were hopping busy but I was sat right away. I showed the nail tech a picture and she executed it but even better! I am so happy!! i had a terrible experience with Amy during my pedicure. As she was scrubbing my calluses, I didn't realize at the time that she had actually cut the bottom of my foot. When I got home, I noticed the cut, and now it looks infected. This is completely unacceptable! Proper hygiene and careful handling should be a priority, especially in a salon setting. I am 60 years old, and an infection like this is a serious concern. If my condition worsens, I will have no choice but to involve legal action. I work with my hands a lot and use to have to get my nails done every 2 weeks. Since I've been going to polish, I get at least 4 weeks on my nails. However, this review is in hopes that no one will waste their hard earned money at this establishment on jankey nails that look like they belong on a crackhead... The woman had painted two nails of mine when I realized she put the complete wrong polish on my on and I mustered up the courage to tell her it was the wrong color. Then she said "sorry it's too late" she then proceeded to charge me $59 for a $30 pedicure. You can get better service, better nails, and save your money painting them at home or going to Beverly Hills nails and spa in new garden. I've been going to them since high school. Ok. I am officially claiming Polishes as our family nail spot. This is our second time and we brought the hubby too. This place is always bumming but also nice and fast getting you in. They do not sacrifice quality even when the wait line is full. They give a pretty good accurate estimate of wait time. Yet the best part is the pride they put in their work. They check to make sure you like it. They give amazing foot massages. They keep you hydrated with nice cold water or energized with a cold soda if you need a boost. They are a true team and everyone is engaged and making sure each other does their best. I've seen them give each other feedback or remind each other not to forget a step etc. They also have a great memory as they remembers my family after one visit and I see them packed all the time so they have a large customer base. I haven't learned everyone name but I have learned the Tony is my awesome nail artist that has done my nails these two times. He is amazing and literally does art on my nails. I just describe what look I want and he makes it happen. My girls are having a blast with their nails too. So far everyone who has helped us has been great. This isn't the first time they had made it a difficult experience trying to book but hey mistakes happen, life is busy. But I called to make the appointment for her and we show up this morning for her appointment and the man at the front told her not to come back? So I went inside to ask for clarification myself. He said "maybe she's confused because she have to wait to 12:30." The doors just opened and I'm the one who made the appointment, I'm not confused when I spoke to the other man yesterday we made the appointment for today at 9:30, he just brushed me off saying I don't know she have to wait. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have lost our business. They are aware of my mom's condition & to treat her like she doesn't matter is just bad business. Please consider going somewhere else. read more

I enjoy coming to Polished Nail Spa for my manicures and pedicures! They have a variety of SNS dip selections, gel polishes, and regular polish. They have all colors so there's a plenty to pick from. The quality of the polish and powder is also high end. The location is close to Starbucks and you can bring that in with you. They also offer white and red wine as well as water. I do recommend calling to get an appointment. They are normally always busy that's your best bet. I personally like Mary! But all the staff is wonderful. read more

I have been going here for years and have always thought it was elite and I loved the atmosphere. However, I went to Polished last week and got a pedicure. They were rushing so much that I noticed they were using tools and putting them back without sanitizing them. They used the metal tool known as the "cheese grader" on my heels. I had hesitation because this tool is illegal in NC. However, I didn't say anything. A few days later my toe began to hurt so much that I could barely walk. I noticed there was a cut on the bottom of my heel. And my foot was extremely swollen compared to my right foot.I ended up having to to go to urgent care. They told me I had a mega infection from the cut on my heel and it traveled through the fascia to my toes. I had to go on 2 different antibiotics to avoid going into sepsis(which they were concerned about). I already had a fever and body aches from the infection. It caused me to delay very crucial medical infusions for two weeks after the antibiotic and because of that I'll likely need another infusion. This pedicure has cost me nearly $60 for the pedicure, 90 for urgent care, 30 for meds, and 340 for an additional medical infusion that was delayed due to all this (that I wouldn't have otherwise needed). I also had to miss a day of work. I will NEVER go back. I am not one to complain or ever write reviews, however, this is serious. It could potentially kill someone that is a diabetic or immune compromised. This has taught me to be aware of what they are doing, watch how they handle their tools, and speak up when you don't feel comfortable with something they are doing. read more

I went to Polished after seeing a friend's adorable nails. She recommended the spot, and I'm so glad I went! I got an SNS manicure with Mary, and she did an amazing job with the small design I wanted. She helped me pick out the perfect color and wasn't afraid to redo the design a couple of times until it looked how I wanted. She has social anxiety so mentioning something to the technician was not an option, but honestly it shouldn't even get to that point. She left disheartened and this ruined her last day in America. I am impressed. My brows were looking a mess, and I needed an emergency waxing. I realized it was a sunday, so finding a place last minute would not be easy. I did a quick google search and found this location. I decided to do a walk-in. I got there and saw that it was pretty busy, but Kim immediately greeted me with a warm welcome. She asked me what services I needed done, and I waited no more than 1 minute to get waxed. Kim was extremely friendly and listened to my needs. I got my chin, brows, and area above my lip waxed. I chose to take my mother here around 12:00 on a Sunday, they were extremely busy. We did call ahead to ask if someone could do our nails when we got there because we were on a tight schedule, they said they could but we did have to wait about 10-15 minutes. We both wanted to get a gel manicure, and we chose our colors. I specifically chose P07 (in the attached image) and the swatch looks A LOT different than what I received. There was a bit of an issue when I was speaking with the woman who did my nails, seemed like she didn't really understand me. It was pretty loud in there and I couldn't hear her with her mask on. She also didn't try to make small talk, and my efforts to do so were just kinda shrugged off. Maybe she just didn't want to talk, but it seemed like she was trying to just rush the nails and get done with me. I noticed that she didn't use new materials. The nail file she used already was white & scratchy, meaning that she'd used it before and she was just reusing it. There were places that my nails were already really short and she filed them roughly enough to make them bleed. There were about two places near my cuticles that started bleeding and then they were soaked in some foggy liquid, so I really hope I don't get an infection. I felt that this place was one of the nail salons that try to get you out of there as soon as possible, that they don't really care about connecting with customers or anything like that. I was also really bummed out that my nail color turned out so much different than what I wanted to ask for. The workers weren't very friendly, though it was pretty busy. The shop is very clean with modern decor, the staff is usually extremely friendly and I'm always satisfied with my nails when I leave. I love that they are open until 7:30p to allow working folks like me to still find time to pamper themselves after work. Yesterday my experience was unlike the rest. I walked in and was asked what I wanted and that was it. Luckily I knew the drill so I had a seat in the chair closest to the color wall and picked out my color while I waited. As others walked in they were asked if they felt like waiting 25 min, I was never asked this. They were also told to pick out their color and have a seat, I wasnt told that either. I waited 20 minutes before a pedi seat opened up. I could see they were busy so I didn't mind that I waited.What I did mind is walking up to the chair, and the girl disappearing before I even sat down. I was confused and was told to sit down by another girl. I then waited 30 MINUTES with my feet in bubbling in lukewarm water for someone to come. I was about ready to leave when 3 different people came over and said... I'll be right with you. Luckily shortly after a girl came. She could see I was upset and did everything she could go make sure the rest of my visit went smooth. I wouldn't have tipped because of everything that happened, but I did because I knew it was not my girl's fault. Ill try going to this place one more time, but if the same thing happens again on my next visit, they may lose a dedicated patron. read more

First of al the name should be "NASCAR Nails" I was in the area and happened to drive by and thought let me check this place out - I'd been dying to get a gel mani pedi for the past few days. Yes my nails are short so i wanted to get them done so that I could grow them out and my cuticles are horrible. I go in and request a a gel mani pedi. The woman was really pushing the SNS with the tips. My main concern was my cuticles which were horrible. Reluctantly I agreed to the SNS and asked are you sure we have time for this. I had to leave in an hour and 20 minutes. It became clear that my definition on a manicure and the salons definition of a manicure are different. Basically she slapped on the tips. Then dipped them in several rounds of powder. My cuticles were UNTOUCHED AND LOOK LIKE FRIGGIN CRAP!!!!!!! The polish has a gazillion ripples in it on every nail. I absolutely will not be back. This is the worst $84 that I've ever spent on my nails. It is very likely that I'll go to a salon I've been to previously and see if I can soak these off tonight and perhaps they can work on my cuticles.Will not be returning. Don't look behind the Pedi chairs bc OMG EW they have trash bags and old equipment and god knows what else thrown in the space behind the Pedi chairs and it's COVERED in gobs and gobs of dust bunnies that have obviously lived there forever. The manicure stations were absolutely disgusting and they go around using the same mani tray on everyone like for real.. all the equipment they used on me was covered in other people's nail dust.
