The salon hd a relaxing atmosphere, and I appreciated that I never felt rushed. Unfortunately, the quality of my manicure didn't quite meet my experience. My guilder gel wasn't as smooth was I had hoped and had a few noticeable bumps, and the gel polish started chipping after three days, which was disappointing considering the service. I spent $150 for both services. I'm willing to give them another chance because everyone was so kind and welcoming, and I'm hopeful my next visit will have a better outcome.

I went to Polished Nail Bar in Bakersfield and had the Royal Pedicure with Amber, and it was absolutely divine. For about $65, it felt like a full spa experience. She started with a relaxing herbal shoulder wrap and eye mask, then did a scrub, mask, 15-minute massage, hot stones, paraffin treatment, and even an herbal candle massage. My feet felt brand new afterward, soft, refreshed, and totally pampered. I also got a builder gel manicure, which was done perfectly and looks super clean and natural. Amber was so kind, detail-oriented, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The whole visit was peaceful and never rushed. If you're looking to truly treat yourself, book the Royal Pedicure with Amber. It's worth every penny. I'll definitely be back! read more

My experience at the salon was somewhat mixed. While I appreciated being promptly seated as a walk-in client, I was disappointed by the limited availability of nail colors and the nail shape not meeting my expectations. Despite informing the technician that I was growing out my nails, she filed them down, and there was noticeable inconsistency in nail length between my hands. When I raised these concerns, the technician didn't acknowledge the issue. On a positive note, I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent arm and leg massages provided. I went for an acrylic full set for Christmas and they turned out absolutely amazing! ive been to polished nail bar a few times now and they are always very nice and welcoming and pay attention to detail. Anywhere else I've been they always cut me or file my finger til it bleeds and I've never had an issue at this place with any of the artists. the playlist is great and people will even sing along it's just fun. I would totally recommend this place for both manicure and pedicure as the quality and atmosphere is amazing read more

I got my nails done here with Q for the first time. Salon was very clean, everyone was very nice. Cant recommend how much I loved the service, quality of the work, the positive vibes and extremely nice and professional manners. The prices were very reasonable. After getting a pedi/full set while in Merced I went to one that was recommended by a friend. Left this place with my nails all messed up. Showed them they fixed it only to make it look the same. Polish was super bubbly and never dried, 2 hours later the polish still came off like it was still wet. Wasted 27.00 just to end up having to take the polish off so it doesn't get everywhere. I did not argue because I was ready to leave, but adding money to someone's total without permission is shady and completely unacceptable. The sanitation was also a major concern. The nail clippers were not opened from a new package, and the drill bit did not appear to be fresh or newly sanitized before being used on me. The floor was dirty, there was dark buildup between the tiles that looked like possible mold or heavy grime, and the same old dirty mop was being used to clean it. The entire place felt unsanitary and poorly maintained. I would not recommend this salon. You are better off finding a private nail tech who takes cleanliness, quality, and honest business practices seriously.
