I have been a customer at this store for many years and has purchased over $3000-4000 worth of product from them over the years. I just bought a pair of brand-name shoes and after wearing them three times the back part label got loose and when I wore them last time it broke. I have attached a picture. After taking this to the store and requesting to fix the sales person Matthew treated me with condescending attitude, repeating his sentences and implying not to take any accountability. If you've been to Traffic or to the "young and modern" section of Saks Fifth Avenue or Neimen Marcus, then you pretty much have a good inkling of what Politix Clothing will be like ('spensive like WHOAH, ho...) except Politix isn't as good as any of the aforementioned places. That's not to say Politix is bad -- it isn't. The variety of styles, brands, and articles is diverse and impressive. Shoes, jewelry, tops, jeans, dresses, jackets, hats... if you can wear it and are willing to pay a pretty penny, Politix may have it. -- In size XL. That's one of the big problems with Politix: although they have many nice things (cool T-shirts, nice outerwear, etc.) they tend to run only large sizes in men's clothes -- and even women's clothes are hard to find if you're under a size four or five. I don't know if that's because the smaller sizes tend to sell faster or because the store never had them in the first place, but the fact remains that if you find something you like, it will be too big for you. If you do buy something, you might end up having to drop some more coin at an alterations place to make it fit properly. "Maybe they have more sizes in their stockroom?" you ask yourself... -- But don't even think of asking a sales associate for help. Although some of them are kind of cool and will actually ask you if you need assistance, most of them will give you a rude once-over when you come in, then ignore you while they continue their [loud, profanity-laced] conversation about which of them is the more important player in the high-fashion world, or which of them has an exciting, important career outside of this job and they only hang out at the mall because... yeah... (Don't forget to clock out for your 30 minute food court lunch, Marc Jacobs Jr...) The stacks of shirts are often in messy, disorganized piles, and just as regularly the workers seem to stand around oblivious to this, on occasion lackadaisically attempting to straighten out the displays, but just as often drinking Frapuccinos on the sales floor -- more "hanging out" than actually working. Maybe it's just my own experience but there was definitely a negative, borderline antagonistic vibe from the staff -- at one point I overheard employees making fun of another customer behind her back. Classy. All in all, the selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories is great, although the sizing is very limited and the service for the most part is atrocious. Politix is a good place to go if you're looking for that one-off closet gem that you come across every so often, for which you're wiling to pay a fortune. My own recommendation is that you go to Traffic or Barney's New York instead -- you'll still meet prohibitive price tags, but at least the employees' enthusiasm when helping you isn't predicated on how cool they think you are, or aren't. read more

I want to like this boutique. But it's really a sad shop. The little blonde Russian sales gal with the great haircut, she is super creepy and follows you around everywhere. Her desperation to make a sale is overwhelming. The clothes from FR or IT are awful quality European lines. You would never see these clothes at those prices in the actual country of design or manufacture. Save your cash to shop at Barney's, American Rag et Cie, H. Lorenzo, Saks or Neiman's. I have never written a negative review before. I, like all of us, have been victimized in the past by lax service, rip off pricing, jacked up haircuts, etc. and yet have never been compelled to bring that home with me, get online, and OD on the perpetrating establishment. Until now. 1) AG jeans here are in the low 200s. 59 feet away, at a little store called BLOOMINGDALE'S, they are 180ish. 2) gstar jean selection is last-season-terrible and (surprise!) also overpriced. 3) shoe selection - just go across the mall to TRAFFIC and you will see that this store's buyer pales in comparison. 4) I always always always go into the store because location is stellar - right by the escalators and next to coffee bean. Never bought anything once there because I know fashion, I worked in fashion, and ever single item in the place is overpriced. Next time you want to buy something, google that and check the price real quick and see for yourself. 5) how you turn urban-sheik into unwelcoming-gaudy is beyond me. Maybe it has something to do with the sales dude, who meekly says hi and that is about it. I walked in there with my girlfriend, barely got acknowledged. Then I watched the sales guy with the Mohawk and chain signal to his buddy to hit on my girlfriend (yes, my bias is revealed but check anything I said above and you will find that it is fact) while we were separately shopping. I took my eyes off her for a moment, then she wasn't there, so I left the store thinking she had moved on to the next store we wanted to peep. Next thing I know, she is power walking out of Politix, flustered, asking my why I left her alone in the (she went to fitting room). Because dudes were all over her. The issue is that it was started by the guy who works there. How welcoming. How professional. 6) by far the least classy, most indignant, and overall most misplaced store in the mall. Belongs on melrose with an overly pushy sales person, but their ridiculous pricing somehow lands them in bev center, where the store simply comes off as a poor mans TRAFFIC.. Bullocks. This place rocks! It carries some of my favorite designers and has a lot of rare clothes! I believe this the only place in CA that carries Andrew Mackenzie stuff! Love it! Also, they carry a lot of boots and cool shoes. I brought a pair of boots there and love it. Be prepare to send lot of $$$ when you go there! You just can't help it! haha read more

I used to shop here years ago.. clothes are cool but worst "customer service" if that's even what you would call it. There's one Indian looking guy with a shaggy beard that works there that was far too invasive. He watched customers like a hawk, which is literary why I didn't buy anything, it was very uncomfortable & rude. I went online and found the same item I was looking at, directly from the designer & bought from there instead. I discovered that store about 8 years ago after unsuccessful searching of the good pair of flip flops across the USA while traveled. Since, it my top clothing store in LA. But couple years ago they've little changed the trend line for too blackguy-style like crap pants or t-shirts to heels etc, but anyway you still could find many interesting things. read more

politix( bev ctr) has some of da hottest shoes in l.a.!!!! ALL italian, which are da ONLY kats u wanna buy shoes by......and my understanding is that each stores buyer only orders ONE size from (9-13.5) in each shoe......so when i purchase my size 11 shoe, NO ONE else in l.a. with an 11 size foot will be walkin' around in that particular shoe. to this day (and i've been shoppin at politix for years), i've NEVER seen shoes i've copped from them on another kat. u're ALMOST ABSOLUTELY to be the only one in your camp rockin yo kicks!!!!!!!!!!! Always do my shopping there, lately it's much easier to find what you really want. Different styles and designers also it's a very professional and helpfull sales staffs, I'm personally like that Russian blond girl, she have a great taste and style, you never feel they push you to buy it, always being honest if it looks good or not.
