    The pollo Loko qeruvian cuisine

They are so horrible my god I can't even begin.the service was ok but the server was so horrible they messed up my order and gaslit my entire family mind you we all heard me say dark meat they defiantly white washed it it was not cheap And the food was horrible, the selection wasn't good the ambiance was horrible it was Ether loud music or completely silent. Don't trust the sign and go somewhat else chipotle was more authentic

    Perfect for lunch.

One of the best kept secrets and lunch menus in North Charleston: POLLO LOKO, serving their authentic Peruvian style chicken and the amazing BANDEJA TIPICA (rotisserie chicken, beef, sausage, egg, yuca, fried plantains, rice, beans and avocado). For breakfast, lunch or dinner, come hungry and leave happy!

Lomo Salteado, its carne asada with onions and sone vegetables in a bed of fries, served with yellow rice and beans.

Looking for that hole in the wall, good food. Pollo Loko is the place. The menu it's a mixture of Mexican, Peruvian, Latin America cuisine. No reservations needed, just enter, look at the menu, order and sit down and they will bring you the order. Very approachable staff and always trying to make sure your good. We LOVE the pollo/ chicken a la brasa, Lomo Salteado, Tacos al Pastor, fried Plantains. Our family really enjoys it,

Awesome service with good food was my experience. The plantains were outstanding and the chicken wuesadilla totally delicious & legit.

Authentic Peruvian cuisine!! So delicious. It has been such a relief to find a restaurant like this in the midst of the seemingly endless shrimp and grits dishes in Charleston. The staff is very friendly and really takes great care in preparing the dishes. It takes about 20-30 min for a dish to be prepared, but I prefer that over fast food. It's your first time there. What should you get, you ask? Two words. Bandeja Paisa. Imagine this all in one dish: rice, beans, avocado, sausage, chicken, an egg, plantains, and beef. Amazing, right? And also do yourself a favor and order a drink of horchata! Just wow.

In my opinion, nobody rivals that Peruvian spice rub! But equally important, the quality and flavors are always consistent at Mario's. And for what they do, they're pretty quick. I even had them cater a birthday party a while ago and everyone was raving about their chicken. Speaking of catering, I also know people that choose them on the regular for game day takeout. But regardless, if you're getting catered food or a quick bite during your lunch break, you can't go wrong with Mario's.

Located right next to the brand new Trader Joe's, I had no idea its been here for years (otherwise I would have been in much, much sooner ; ) Upon walking up there are several tables for outdoor dinning, which is great when the weather is nice or you're coming back from the beach. Inside offers plenty of causal seating and space. Their menu consists of several different meal combos, I had a single serving meal made up of two pieces of chicken, green bean (delicious!) and Yuka fries served with their signature sauces - try both if you like something different. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend and will be back again soon! Guten Appetit!

Everything was so good, and the portions large enough to feed two in some cases, we had to take what was left home. Also - fine dining or not - I've never been serenaded by a chef before. The chef has such passion for his country and culture and all of it comes out during your experience. He describes every plate in detail - not only what you're eating, but the historical significance behind it. The menu is changed roughly every three months, so what I had will most likely not be the same as you have by the time you read this. However, the mainstays such as ceviche will be available, and you will not be disappointed. I asked for some hot sauce he had lined up for us as an option and while hot, I appreciated the taste behind it. Most spicy sauces can just be HEAT ALL CAPS with little substance but this was different. Located in a cute, cozy nook upstairs at Port of Call, this ambiance and intimate setting makes it an ideal place not just for a date but for a nice night out, meeting strangers and immersing yourself in another culture being presented to you with a passion which makes you even more appreciative of each passing plate.

The Service was outstanding, Ny was very pleasant and helpful for our party of 9. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. They have a full bar with plenty of bar seating in addition to the table seating throughout the restaurant. The name "La Vinotinto" is inspired by the Venezuelan national soccer team, whose official uniform is famously known as "La Vinotinto" (The Burgundy). From the second we walked in, we felt the vibe -- super clean, beautifully decorated, and full of that energy that tells you "yeah, this place is gonna hit." The food? Legit authentic. Not that watered-down tourist stuff. Everything had real flavor -- like someone's abuela was back there blessing each plate. My mom said the seasoning reminded her of her aunt's cooking back in Puerto Rico -- and that's saying something, because her aunt doesn't play. Drinks were next level. I ordered a margarita and they brought me what looked like a whole bucket of joy. I literally said out loud "¡Papi, bring me another!" Vacation mode was fully activated. The staff? Super friendly, super cool. Spoke Spanish with us, cracked jokes, made us feel at home like we were regulars even though it was our first time. Beautiful spot, authentic food, great people, and good vibes all around. My parents are already talking about coming back next weekend -- and we live 4 hours away.

I don't recall the Mt P one having lomo saltado or empanadas so I'm looking forward to trying more of the espansive menu here. I will say the only thing that bothered me was that the menu inside was on rotating screens. They took forever to go to the next screen so we used the QR code to look at the menu online. After we placed out order, I noticed that there were options on the menu screen that were not listed online and I maybe would have tried one of those options. Not a big deal, but definitely an annoyance when the menus don't match. For entrees we got the mostrito which offers so much food. You get a 1/4 chicken, fried rice, fries, and coleslaw. My entree was Arroz Chaufa with chicken which is less of a diverse dish being that it's all the same, but it's so good. I got mine with chicken in it and added some sauces because I love both of them. The spicy one is best but they are both delicious.
