This dental practice is amazing. I've read some of the other reviews and maybe it was really bad before (or some people that had a bad experience voiced it) but it certainly wasn't how it went for me. The front staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I filled out a short questionnaire on their laptop and had a seat. They told me as soon as the X-ray room was available I'd be ready to go. About 7 minutes later, I was sitting in it. My dental hygienist was the real reason I wrote this review. Carla was professional, gentle and skilled. I had a full mouth debridement and there was no excessive discomfort. She was patient and polite the whole hour I needed. At the end, the dentist came and looked everything over. She was also professional and nice. And the office is clean, bright and friendly. Music was playing from another patients room and everybody seemed to be in good spirits. Plus I got a goodie bag with travel sized toothpastes, dental floss, mouthwash and a tooth brush! read more

My suggestion to new patients is to ASK your dental insurance company BEFORE you have any procedure done!!! I was told from Polo dental that my insurance company would pay for the procedure. They were quite wrong!!!!! I had to pay for the whole procedure. I should have called my insurance company also to qualify their statement but I didn't !!!! I will call my insurance company next time!! Live and learn. read more

Like other patients- the dentist performed a procedure and then charged him without telling him that the insurance would not cover the procedure. The dentist also wanted my father to get a deep cleaning without providing a reason for the procedure. read more

Came here a few days ago with my month-and-a-half old baby. They made me wait for an hour and 30 minutes while other patients came and went! Then, took another 45 minutes to take the x-ray's and give me my results. Finally, they tried to up-sell me on a premium cleaning, not covered by my insurance. I told them no as it is not covered by my insurance. Then they lied to me and said insurance would cover it (yes, I checked with my insurance company). They would not take no for an answer, and continued to pressure me for 15 minutes! That's when my baby started crying for a feeding. 2 hours and 30 minutes... and they hadn't even started the cleaning. I had no choice but to walk out. You can't trust a company that ignores mom's with new-born babies, lies to their patients about insurance coverage, and makes their patients wait for hours. 1 star is too complimentary; can I give a negative star? read more

Do not recommend!!! I scheduled an emergency appointment with this dental office, it was the only location available and now I know why. The front desk staff was attentive but was unaware about my appointment I made until I showed them confirmation. I was escorted in by one of the dental assistants which happened to be very professional. The owner/dentist Marianna Zadov was very unprofessional. She was very rude with her delivery and did absolutely nothing for my emergency visit. She almost seemed annoyed and unresponsive. I have to agree with the negative reviews, my experience was similarly bad. Long wait times, bad service. Polo will fradulantly charge your insurance for a cleaning, but will only floss and brush your mouth. I have visited twice and each time they try to con me into an out-of-pocket cleaning wanting me to pay more than what is covered. Sadly, the look in their eyes say it all. They truly believe it's ok, that it's fine to try to steal and cheat customers. I obviously know what a real cleaning is from years of visiting other dental offices. I went to this dentist office on a whim because I really wanted to get my teeth cleaned after receiving insurance, I haven't had it in a while. I was SUPER excited. My first visit there they were EXTREMELY disorganized, I went in for a cleaning and by the time they got their act together I was informed I WOULD NOT be receiving my cleaning and had to reschedule and that I also had 2 little cavities. Upon check out I scheduled for that Friday and was told it would cost me $120 OUT OF POCKET. My insurance only covered like $10 apparently. I went in for my appointment on Friday and during my cleaning was told that I had bad gum disease and if I did not get the treatment for it MY TEETH WOULD FALL OUT. It was an extra $60 I paid out of pocket. MIND YOU I AM 25 and I HAVE VERY HEALTHY TEETH!!!!!!!! After the cleaning I went to get my two fillings filled, they did not use numbing medicine, NOTHING. HE ONLY FILLED ONE TOOTH TOO AND DID SUCH A POOR JOB MY TOOTH IS UNEVEN AND STILL ROUGH!!!!!!!!! I come to find out 3 days after that THIS WAS ALL INCLUDED ON MY INSURANCE PLAN!!!!! My father was a dentist and my brother is a retired dentist in another state. I went to Polo dental in Boca Raton in November 20 21 and they extracted three my teeth. I needed more extractions so they set up an appointment for January 25, 2022. 1/2 hour before my appointment the dental office called me and said they no longer take my insurance and my appointment was canceled. They told me to find another dental office. This is after they started a dental procedure on me. I would never recommend them to anyone ever. read more

Probably the worst office you can go to. I am amazed that they have not been shut down. Mh family had been going here for years and more often than we preferred we would run into issues with the doctors, nurses, and pricing. They claimed they took my insurance and for years they did - We stopped going for a little due to COVID and being nervous with the outbreak. However, when I called two days ago to request an appointment they told me that they no longer take my insurance. I asked how much you do not inform your patients then? The woman replied we just wait till they call us. Excuse me? That is how you run a business? I am 19 years old and I know better than that! Ok. First of all, I have NEVER written a Yelp review (good or bad) in my life! I'm 53 years old, and have run companies with 70 employees and 8-digit revenues. I have owned 7 different businesses in 7 different industries... soooo, I think I have a pretty good sense of what customer service means... and what is too unrealistic to expect. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER. If you go there, you too are an absolute fool. Just look at the condescending responses from the owner... "We are very sorry to hear that you did not have a great experience..." Laughable. Here's what happened to me: Live in Boca, went there for an extraction (covered by my insurance). Of course... they said that I would have to pay $150 out of pocket. Oh well... I needed the tooth gone, and I wasn't going to argue. Couldn't get me into the Boca office so they scheduled me for the Boynton office (it's called Royal Dental - obviously separate companies for lawsuit purposes). When I got there, they said that their other office didn't send my file... so I'd have to reschedule (after I already drove to Boynton). I didn't bitch - I complied and waited again for another scheduled appointment. When I got there for the next appt., they tried to extort $490 out of me, but eventually agreed to bill the amount quoted. Here's where it get's crazy! They again did not transfer my file, so they had to take new xrays. I had Dr. Josie Nguyen. She was by far... the only positive experience. She was very caring that I not experience any pain during the procedure, but it took her 2 hours of digging into my jaw to remove ONE molar. She's new. LOL. The extraction was so severe and damaging to all the tissue surrounding the area... that I was in so much pain I could barely drive home. Called the office the next day to request a few stronger pain meds to get me through a few days of recovery... they said they'd call me back. They didn't. Looked on Google and saw the office was open til 7 pm... so jumped in the car and went there. Of course. - they were not open until 7, and they were closed. Answering service idiot (Luis) basically told me they would call me tomorrow! WHAT??? They perform surgery and have no emergency response team. I literally hate this company. I would never recommend them, and frankly.. I will make it my life endeavor to spread the word about how incompetent and how inconsiderate the entire office is. I'm 58 & I've been coming to Polo Dental for almost 3 years. I cannot understand the bad reviews on here, must be a fluke or just plain mean people that have some sort of pleasure out of posting negative because I have to say that for me Dr Broggi and Carla have been EXCELLENT. Both of them REALLY care about their services and personal touch. the receptionists are very friendly & considerate. They always have big smiles and are welcoming. I had an issue with a sensitive tooth and a couple of "fancy dentists" recommended by friends wanted immediately to pull my tooth out and charge $3000 to $4000 and would have had taken almost a year to complete as it was a back tooth and they needed bone to build up! WHAT??!! Dr. Broggi assured me that the tooth could be saved & all I needed was a crown. The price was very fair! I had a couple of concerns which he promptly addressed & the follow ups were included Saved me a bunch of pain and dollars! I also have a family history of periodontal issues. My gums were on the verge of surgery but Carla's excellent advice and cleaning skills got me in way better shape. Yes , I've had to come in every 3 months for a periodontal cleaning and by doing this, quitting the sonicare, & using a regular very soft gum brush as advised, my gums are way more healthy, pockets almost gone! their prices are fair & considerate. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!! read more

My husband and I were both scheduled for 9 am appointments weeks ago, but I was told I would be scheduled for 10:20. I was able to wait for my time. The staff did not remind me to premedicate before the appointment, but said it was OK to medicate when I returned home. This lead me to believe that perhaps they did not have my medical history on file as I am a new patient. My dental procedure seemed to go along smoothly. I would have preferred if the dentist was more communicative about what he was going to do prior to starting. However, all went well and the dental assistant was very good. From the moment I walked in the computers didn't work in order for me to check in, waited 40 minutes, lady started doing a cleaning then asked me to do x-rays first. She calls with no response ever! She went in for one thing and they were insisting that she needed new bone in her mouth which costs another $3,800.00. She can't afford that! I wish I would have read the reviews before going to this dentist office. I lost my job and health benefits so I enrolled in the florida sunshine health. I needed a cleaning and thought I was grinding my teeth at night and I inquired about a night guard. I arrived... didn't think it was clean, at least it didn't have a clean feel. The staff is not very pleasant and they were bickering amongst themselves. After waiting for about 45 minutes I get in, they take xrays and she said yes it looks like you are grinding. I can take an impression and send it out to have your night guard made. They informed me that my insurance does not cover the night guard & it would be $400 out of pocket. I agreed, paid 1/2 and would pay the other 1/2 when I pick it up. In the meantime, I call the insurance company to find out if it is covered and they tell me yes. They even gave me the codes that they should use. I contact the office and explained that I need a receipt with the correct code because at this point I'm trying to get reimbursed by the insurance company. The dentist office said it was a liability to them and they couldn't resubmit the claim and they refused to give me a receipt with the correct code. To this day I have not received it. I have emailed & called with no response. I go back to pick up the night guard and I'm sitting in the lobby with the unfriendly staff that doesn't even say hello. I've been waiting about an hour and I can hear them talking that they can't find the guard. Wouldn't you have checked that before I showed up. So after being there almost 2 hours they decided that they would call me when they receive the guard. I go back to get my bottom jaw night guard. I again have to wait about 45 minutes before the doctor saw me and how he was trying to fit the guard on my top teeth. Did you not check my folder or file to see what I was coming in for. They are incompetent and I highly recommend NOT to go to this dentist office. Worst experience ever. You took my money with no problem and all I needed was a receipt to submit to my insurance to get reimbursed and you wouldn't do it. This office is a scam!! and dirty. What a shoddy example of a dental practice. These guys are scammers and one of the most disorganized medical facilities I've ever been to First, they failed to acknowledge the medical history and files sent to them from my previous dental office and proceeded to completely enroll me as a new patient, x-rays and all (I just came here for a cleaning) Next, the asked me when I'd like to schedule my cleaning ***what?!?! I've waited over a month just for this visit!!*** So I finally get them to squeeze me in for a cleaning after waiting another 45 minutes & here's the kicker, my cleanings are covered by insurance... completely... & they charged me $90 for it. Now no one is giving me an answer as to why they stole money from me & are charging my insurance company. Despicable, disgraceful. This is not a place you should trust to take care of you and your best interest. My insurance company for dental care is a great one. They provide 2 free cleanings per year. Polo Dental said, it would be "unethical of us to give you anything less than the deep cleaning the doctor recommends"... ok. Literally they did the very same thing to my brother (you'll probably see his review here too) that same day before I came in... $95 out of pocket while being covered by insurance. Insane. You know that doctor recommended "deep cleaning" that was never disclosed as being anything more than a regular cleaning, never even mentioned just here ya go & sign. If I want a regular cleaning, I'm obligated to what my insurance covers not what your "doctor recommends". You refused me treatment for what I sought and charged me more, unbeknownst to myself. I'm finding a new dentist after this one visit and I recommend you do too. I have no cavities, I have no gum disease, I have no pain. I just wanted a simple cleaning and instead got bombarded with radiation and flushed with fluoride for a nice nearly $100 bill leaving the office for an appointment that my dental insurance covers Not cool. read more

Yesterday I went there to see about getting my tooth extracted. I have Medicaide because I'm in the Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer program, and my insurance covers some dental procedures including extractions. When I called for an appointment the girl said that the insurance department would call me if there was any problem with my insurance covering my visit. I got no such call about this and went to the Boca location at the scheduled time. The day of my appointment, I left work early, which means I lost some of my income, to get to the Boca office by 3:20. When I got there, the front desk girls, who were not very pleasant by the way, told me that my Medicaide records say that I had been to a dentist on August 8 and that used up my Medicaid payout for my annual exam so my initial exam would have to be out of pocket. Now, I haven't been to a dentist in way over a year. Plus they said when I visited that other dentist (have no idea who that supposed dentist is and they wouldn't tell me either) I had a cleaning which Medicaid covered. That is a bunch of garbage because Medicaid doesn't even cover cleanings! So their lie became even worse than the one they were trying to sell me. I went outside and called Medicaid and they said there was no such thing on my record for any dental treatment on August 8 or any other day. The Medicaid lady told me to have the dentist's office call the providers hotline and get the matter straightened out. When I went back upstairs and told the receptionists that, the one girl got really snotty with me and said "we know who to call and what to do. But now we can't see you for another two weeks." Two weeks? I explained to her that I had a broken tooth and I needed it taken care of very soon. How can you tell me that you have no appointments for two weeks when there is absolutely no one waiting in your waiting room? And your site says that you take walk-ins?? But people with an appointment need two weeks to be seen?? Then she told me if there was any problem with my Medicaid that their insurance department would call me the day before my next appointment and let me know. Well that's what they told me the this time too and it never happened. That's why I had to take off work and drive all the way across town to go there for nothing!! After I left their office, I realized that they were just yanking my chain and didn't want to take my Medicaid for my treatment. That's because Medicaid pays a little less than an out-of-pocket person would. I knew they had a bad rating but once I saw the hidden ratings there's 118 more bad ones. Now I know why. And I don't understand why this practice is still in business either. Bottom line, they discriminate against Medicaide patients and don't want to serve them so they just make up lies to either make you give them money or just get rid of you. read more

This is a very good office. I had almost no wait time, the staff is very friendly, this is the only place I've been that hasn't hurt while doing a cleaning, and they did a fantastic job on the filling I needed done! The chairs in the waiting room are real chairs, not those crummy metal folding chairs most places have. Every other doctor or dentist office I've gone to has had a far off appointment date and a crazy long wait time even with an appointment. Terrible practice. Didn't like the way they do their practice. Doesn't seem professional. The dentist emailed me very rudely saying that she will get a lawyer and prosecute me if I don't take off the low review. I ended up taking it off but after a while I felt like she was bullying me into taking it down. Look at all the low reviews here! The reason my visit went so bad was because the root canal they did, they did it poorly and it ended up still hurting even more afterwards. My crown also keep coming off and I had to go to another reputable endodontist to get my root canal fixed, and I have been pain free ever since! read more

Thirty minutes before the appointment, they called to cancel because they no longer have an orthodontist in the office. How could they not know this when they initially made the appointment. I feel so very very ripped off by this dental group. I went initially because I had a dental emergency which they handled well. But over time I was less and less satisfied. Instead of getting a price they would say "it should be this much but today we will only charge you this much" like being at a used car dealership. I felt like I was being ripped off. I was getting a cleaning and was presented with a bill. When I asked why I was being charged as my plan offers free cleanings they said "you had a deep cleaning". I switched dentists after that. My new dentist eventually gave me a deep cleaning (from the dentist NOT the hygienist). It was then that I learned that what I had at Polo was NOT a deep cleaning. There was a deeper level of intensity, time and thoroughness. I was billed for a deep clean that I did not get but I did not know the difference at the time. I have considered calling the board of professional regulation to report this. I now go to East Boynton Dental where the pricing is up front and they actually provide you with the free (through insurance) cleaning. I have asked Polo dental to never contact me again when they have called. read more
