This is an excellent deli that has lots of Polish Ukrainian and I even believe some Russian items. They have a fantastic delicatessen with meat, cheese, sausage and they even have fresh baked breads and desserts. worst, rudest front counter staff ever, made us feel unwelcome and that we were intruding on her, just wanted to pay for our frozen food, went to the counter and the lady let us cool our heels at the register for almost 10 minutes, studiously ignoring us as if we weren't even there. Had to say excuse me three times before she bothered to even look at us. We spent almost $50 and she "forgot" that the sign right beside her said free sausage for all purchases over $35, when I asked her about it she said " Do you want a bag for 50 cents" We didn't get the sausages but did leave with a bad taste in our mouths and will NEVER support this particular small business again read more

Normally in a smaller shop you encounter a small number of staff working there. I am very pleased to say that in this shop they are well stafffed and there are a good number of bilingual workers (Polish and English) to serve the large number of customers. This shop is always busy and the store is extremely well stocked with a large array of foods and sausage to meet the needs of their clients. As well, they have a large stock of particular Polish favourites, including cakes, perogy, stew, vegetable salad, buns and breads, all of the things found on a Polish table. Top class service, excellent product variety, and all the things I need on my dinner table to please my family. Thank You!!! read more

We stumbled upon this shop/bakery while staying at a nearby AirBNB, and searching for a few breakfast items. The grocery part of the shop is small, but we were able to pick up some necessities (like a jar of coffee) and pastries. Having travelled to Poland, we were intrigued by the shop's large selection of favorite Polish foods, including various kielbasas/sausages, pirogies, cabbage rolls, and more. If we lived in the area, we would try them all! The shop is organized and clean. Didn't rate as '5' for a few reasons. Very slow check-out line (we took a number but got stuck behind a customer who was ordering a lot of additional items -- and, in spite of additional staff, there was no effort to relieve the line). Our only real interaction was with the check-out clerk -- who was not particularly friendly but not unfriendly either. With some additional attention from staff while in the shop, it's highly likely that we would've bought A-LOT more. read more

Classic Polish deli. Pierogies of every variety imaginable including Pelmenyis which are slightly different. The ultimate in comfort food! Loads of Polish imported goods. Massive variety of cheeses and cured salamis and cold meats. They also have choux pastry eclairs puff pastry Napoleons for sale. Bread products sell out early. Had an interesting low carb fat puffed wheat grits product from Poland for healthy snacking. Kind of like the Korean rice cakes in texture. Stopped in and must get a number wait to be called that way you can look around and decide what to request and got the Polish sausages around 6 and a couple in house frozen cabbage rolls and a loaf of braided egg bread challah bread and a couple in house frozen homemade rich cabbage rolls almost like meat loaf filling with next to no rice and a loaf of light rye bread and six dry soup mixes and got around over one pound of lean ham kobossa .and if total is over $25.00 you get a free garlic sausage to go very busy and nice friendly people serving .. enjoy read more

I have lived near, but never shopped there until today. I prefer the deli on 104th near 140th. After my experience today, I will never shop at polonia again. Beautiful, well stocked shop with that awesome deli smell of cured meat made for a great first impression. The girl behind the counter was preparing a large order for a woman and her cute daughter. After a short wait, a second counter person asked what I would like. She didn't like something about me. I wasn't dressed poorly, but I was wearing an older jacket. When i asked for polish sausage, she grabbed 1 piece, roughly wrapped it in paper and said 9$. No weighing. No label. When I asked for bacon she sneared and said they don't carry it anymore, despite having a counter full of it. She said something in polish, and the other counter girl and the other customers stared at me. On snickered. I have no idea why. Clearly though speaking polish might have made me more welcome. read more

Well...my husband,my friend & I we went to the Deli on Saturday.My husband is Canadian & so am I but I do speak polish.The girls,all 3 of them were so polite,kind & helpful ..didn't understand the complaints that people have..... We don't even live in Surrey,went to deli first time...& what a great surprise it was !!! So,please guys stop complaining ...anyone is allowed to be tired,not feel good that day give them a break ok? Great selection of products! Can't speak good or bad about the service since I was just shopping.

When we visit Vancouver, we always swing by one of their stores before we head off to catch the ferry. Their kielbasa variety is amazing (ham & garlic, kobanossy, krowkielska). My dad was a sausage maker, Polonia sausage quality is in the same league. We also pick up a few of their poppy seed bakery (sometimes, we cut off a few slices when we are stuck in the ferry lineup for more than one sailing). Enjoy! read more

Was once married to a Polish chick but found her too demanding so we split. On the subject of this bakery, I learned to speak Polish so I had no problems dealing at this bakery which by the way has an excellent array of foods fresh and tasty. Yes they have a preference when dealing with people that speak their language but again that satisfies the demanding psyche. read more

Best Sausages in BC hands down! Their meats are definitely different from the fatty and salty options you find at any grocery store. You can taste the quality difference! That being said, you'd think their prices would be through the roof but are definitely on par with any other place I've shopped at. Very affordable. They have a great selection of in house baked goods - cheesecakes, doughnuts, tarts, breads, buns and a whole array of other things I still have yet to try. There's a huge selection of imported goods there too. Cookies, teas, sweets, mustards, cheeses, pickles, etc - I don't know if they're all Polish but I'm thinking all European for sure. If you're looking for a taste of Europe and a change from the "same ol'" this is where you'll find it! Such a great find, and I'll continue coming back again and again! read more

I was at the deli on Oct 1 - they have an ad saying that customer will receive 2 free items with each $25.00 spent. Seeing this - I added a further 9.00 onto my $49.20 order and still received just the initial 2 items as she was too lazy to re-do the bill. They do carry some products which we enjoy, but their horrible customer service and downright rudeness has turned us off of ever returning to give them more of our money. I was actually ignored in favour of a customer standing behind me in line. She left her kid and baby in the car so expected -and received- VIP service, speaking to the woman behind the counter in Polish then pushing ahead of me to pay for her 2 baskets full of groceries. Who the heck leaves their baby and small child in their car in Surrey or anywhere else to go shopping?! And if you had spent long enough in the store to shop for 2 baskets full of stuff, then surely one could wait until it was actually their turn to pay! Just a few weeks before, I was ignored in favour of another Polish speaking customer while I stood, again waiting to pay for my purchases. Their rudeness has lost them plenty of business in this neighbourhood. There was even a write up aout it in our local paper's "Rotten Tomatoes" section! I wish I could give 0 stars. read more
