The pizza is SO good! Stopped in randomly, and so so happy we did. Had slices of pepperoni & margarita pizza, absolutely delicious. We like a thinner crust, we asked for our slices to be cooked "well done" and crispy which they cooked it perfectly. Great pepperoni, great cheese, great sauce. Staff are super friendly, the restaurant itself is clean, very warm and welcoming place. Don't forget to grab some of their home baked chocolate chip cookies before leaving. Thanks so much! I have been coming here since 2013. I can't believe it's been 12 years. This is a mom and pops business that has changed so much throughout the years. I love how they are always making things better when I visit. Recently they changed their mural! My boyfriend is allergic to dairy and we have gone to a few pizza places and asked if they could use our dairy-free cheese, which many said no. The owner and chef accepted to help us and was so kind!!! He was smiling when he gave us the pizza. The food is always hot, with plenty ingredients, flavorful, and OF COURSE, incredibly delicious. The owner told me he has been making pizzas for over 20 years. This place has been my happy place for a long time. I moved farther up north and yes, other pizza places are great too, but this one has a special place in my heart. THEY HAVE SO MANY OPTIONS! And always cater to my needs. Absolutely amazing food!!!!! We stop in to get a quick bite the other day and we are so glad we did. We ordered chicken wings and pizza slices. I received 4 cheese empanadas instead of 2 and 2, the drinks I received 1 (2) liter sprite and 3 additional 20 oz sprites instead of 1 sprite and 1 coke. The pie dough was undercooked. I'm in the Miami area again for work & thought I'd go for pizza. Pomodoro's says it's NYC style. The ordering of the pizza was kind of bizarre. The menu is full of pages of pricey gourmet pizzas. I asked the waitress if they had plain cheese. She said they do, but those kind of pizzas are not on the menu. I laughed. It was bizarre because by the cash register were slices of cheese pizza under glass waiting for people wanting to get them by the slice. Anyway, the pizza was only so so. The sauce was tomatoey, but lacking any spice. There was a generous amount of mozzarella cheese on it. The dough & crust were the biggest disappointment. I think it is absolutely ridiculous how long my husband and I have been looking for a good pizza spot to order from when the perfect location has been right around the corner this whole time! We tried all the other pizza locations in Aventura/North Miami/Hallandale and none of them have been worth the hassle of even driving to. I decided to order thru uber eats. The food arrived hot and fresh. However, the food was a huge disappointment. We orderd fettuccine alfredo which looked great, but had no flavor. I also ordered wings ( kind of hard to screw up), and a pizza with sausage and pepperoni. I ate 2 slices and threw the rest out. This does not taste like NY style pizza or remotely anything close to it. The ingredients tasted cheap and the sauce tasted like tomatoe paste. It was also too sweet. I could tell as soon as I oped the box I was going to be disappointed. Great pizza aways has a orange glow when the cheese melts into the sauce. I ordered the meat lover pizza and was disappointed. It was supposed to have tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, bacon, sausage, meatballs, ground beef and pepperoni. It was missing a couple of the meats. At least from what I could see, it was missing bacon and meatballs. It may have also been missing ground beef as well. This was a delivery. I don't appreciate not being told prior to the delivery of the missing toppings. At the very least, I should have received a discount. All I was given was a note on the order that the chef made changes. Missing toppings aside, I thought if there was going to be an issue with the pizza, it would be salty. Good news - it wasn't salty. Bad news - it had no flavor! How is that possible??? There were lots of toppings (sliced thin, if you like that). Kudos to them, but everything was bland. I forgot to take a pic, but it wouldn't have mattered. The look of the pizza is misleading. I lived in New York for years and other than the size of the pizza (I got the 16 inch) and thinness of the crust, it was surely no N.Y. pizza. The sauce was almost not enough and on the sweeter side, the toppings (as I stated before) were sliced thin, and the crust was thin, but not cracker thin. I've had better and am also disappointed in how they chose to handle their topping shortage. I was never given an opportunity to change my order.
