This place has a lot of rocks in their hay. I've had serious issues with my horses after the feed I've purchased here. One horse has colic and passed another is currently dealing with intestinal problems. read more

I really like this place, they have all types of holistic brand dog food for a reasonable price. I was going crazy trying to find a place that sells holistic dog food without costing soo much. I driving through Mission and decided to give this place a look. They have soo many dog treats, shampoos, and a lot a lot of dog food brands to pick from. They staff is also very help and tries the help you with the choice of dog food that you need to get. I have had so much trouble finding the right food my my pitbull. Dropped by to buy a dog house since i have passed this place many times and im in the market for a dog house. Unfourtantly the dog house i wanted is 130 dollars amd all i had was 120. I asked the kid working here if we could make a deal. He said he would have to ask his manager. He came back and said no. I asked him if maybe i could ask so he led me to where the manager was. I asked him "hey man i have 120 in cash thats all i have will you take it? " immediately he responds with a horribly bad attitude "well what did this guy just tell you? Yeah NO.! " i understand when you cant change the price believe me I get it. And i was gna go to the atm to get the extra 10 if he said no. For starters this place exactly what you need to be feeding your fur baby. Showed up a little early during this pandemic and was greeted right away with a how's it going, how can I help you. I recently purchased a cane corso and was feeding her a grain free dog food. It wasn't settling well with her stomach so I decided to switch to a dog food I used before. Being uncertain about purchasing Víctor or Canidae I was recommended Victor due to the popularity and nutrition but also more bang for your buck. $45 for the 40 pound bag of Víctor teal bag! What a great price and they also recommended a fly spray for my pooches. read more

I've been coming here for a couple years. Every time I come to this store the staff is either rude or ignorant. I asked for a specific dewormer, they were pushing the one they wanted me to buy eventhough I have been buying the one I wanted for years and know my puppies needed that one. The employees were suggesting I buy the dewormer that kills 2 types of worms when I need the one that kills the four types. I also called for microchips. The guy that answered said "we don't carry that, it's a vet thing". Um hello!!! Several feed stores carry them. You can order them online by bulks or singular. It's not a vet thing. Last but not least, theres several young men working there, am sure they can easily learn how to update their website (which has no information) or build a new one. This place use to be nicer when I was younger I can see why people are resorting to online purchases with Chewy etc. read more

My first time here. I feed my dog the Acana dog food and they just started to carry it here and it's closer to my house than were I normally go to in san Dimas.. Customer service was bad at Pomona feed, Not attentive, no hello can I help you. I will take my money to an establishment.. That can train there employees the 101 of business!!! We stop in once or twice a winter to get our wood. $80.00 gets us enough to have wood fires all during fall and winter. Very friendly service. The young men who work their always quickly load up my car for me and pick the best stacks of wood. We don't use their other products so I can't speak to that but this is our go to place for wood. read more

The Pomona Feed is too cramped and dusty to be taken serious as a pet store; in my opinion its just a drive in and out store that happens to sell pet supplies. It really looks like a converted garage in a way, the store was very small and dusty. The dog food prices were pretty good, and probably the highlight of going here was seeing the bunnies and chicks. The parking in and around this location was very limited, I had to park down the street. read more

We bough Chicks, rabbits and doves from this store. With plans and phone numbers exchanged to buy different animals in the future. This is our first time buying animals for our new farm. We got 30 chicks and the guy took them out of the cage and put them in a box about 10 by 20 in. We realized that the chicks were probably on top of each other and we made sure to point this out and ask the guy if they would all be ok in there. We also told him we had about a 30 minute drive and it's a pretty warm day. He said they will all be fine don't worry. Since we have no prior experience we trusted the man and took the box. We made sure there were plenty of holes in the box and went home straight home. We took the chicks to their stall and opened the box. They had all pooped on top of each other and were very very warm. It took a lot of encouragement to get them out and we finally had to dump the box gently over. We found 4 of them dead and 5 that could barely move. It was so sad and disgusting. We called to let the people know what happened so that this wouldn't happen again to someone else and they basically didn't care and said they weren't going to be doing anything about it. We really didn't care about replacing the chicks, but we did care about the fact that they stated they wouldn't, that they weren't apologetic and that they were rude. We unfortunately won't be making any more purchases from them including feed which we could have been buying from them for years. read more

Pomona Feed is great. I purchase, well, bunnies from PF&F to feed my 11' python as well as aspen shavings for reptile bedding. Many time the employees ask me if the rabbit is a pet or a gift and have no problem when I tell them I am purchasing it as a feeder animal. I appreciate their professionalism and down-to-earth attitudes. The store reminds me of honest and down home feed stores back in the Mid-west. Rock on guys! read more

I have a new puppy and this place is GREAT for food and supplies. TONS of brands of food and LARGE sized bags (good for me - the pup will get up to 100+ lbs). Good deals on "fancy" brands (we use Canidae, usually pretty expensive but they have good prices). If you are not into big-chain stores and want a good bargain, check out Pomona Feed and Fuel (for ALL sorts of pets). Visited Pomona Feed for the first time today. They had tons of things for many different animals. We went to look for our animals a rabbit, turtle, dogs. Bought some new brand dog food grain free cause our dogs have food allergies. Bought alfalfa hay for our rabbit. The young man helping us was so helpful and friendly. Proud of the other young man at the cash register, helping a customer that was a old man. The cashier young man was being literally verbally abused by the old man. I watched and heard this old man threaten his employment, and other inappropriate things because he was a repeat customer, and the old man felt that everyone should know what he gets, which is stupid and ignorant. The young man handled this situation with grace and was so professional even though he had the right to tell the old man off! Our family will return for many other items and our dogs loved the dog food we purchased from here. They are friendly and professional. My kids loved all the different baby chickens they had. Pomona feed offers a variety different items and must visit for any of your animal needs. read more

I go to this store as my last resort. I buy dog food that is only sold in certain stores. I use to go all the time to Pomona Feed, but when the employees start to question the price of their own items, I get worried. I know the price of my item by heart, because it is a good price. So when the employees started to guess price it is a bad sign. They went over the usual price and I questioned it. So they had to search through a folder to see what the real price was and sure enough I was right. It was cheaper. I researched where I can buy this item elsewhere after that and when in need I resort back to this store. It is higher priced elsewhere, but I would rather pay for loyal employees than kids who do not know what the price is and I don't have to question if they are lying to make a few extra bucks. Even after a couple of months not being there, the same thing happened. They questioned the price. read more

Really saved the day for me!!! My daughter really wanted some chicks for her birthday so we drove a long distance to another feed store in the area who's website said they had chicks in and they did not. A family member recommended Pomona Feed and they had several varieties. The cages are very clean and the chicks are well cared for. The young man who works there took the time to explain the different breeds to us and answered all our questions. It is quite a distance from my house but worth the drive. We will be back! read more

The staff here was super friendly! I called them yesterday to ask if they had any baby chicks. A lady answered the phone within a few rings and was cheery and helpful. When I went in today, a man helped me pick out the baby chicks that I wanted. He was very nice and knowledgeable. The prices were also really great compared to another feed store I have been to. They gave me 2 silkie chicks but one of them turned out to be a different breed when I got home. I came back two days later and told them that one of them is not a silkie. I told them I would like to switch it for a silkie chicken and I would buy 2 more silkie chickens. The 1st guy who made the mistake was about to switch the wrong one for me, but his co-worker said, "absolutely no exchanging animal here." I told them I only wanted silkie chickens and that they made a mistake. The 2nd guy repeated, "Absolutely no changing." I didn't want the 1st guy to get in trouble since he seemed nicer, so I didn't make a big deal. However, I pointed to him that the wrong chicken has yellow skin and that it only has 4 toes which is a trait that silkie chickens don't have. The 2nd guy insisted that it's a silkie chicken so I picked up the wrong one and showed him the yellow skin, regular feather, and 4 toes. He said, "It's a silkie and no changing." I bought 2 more silkie chickens. All four are growing bigger now and one of them is definitely NOT a silkie. read more

This is an old school grain and feed store. No frills, no toys for pets and slightly dusty. I wasn't there to check out their decor, I just want a chicken feeder at a reasonable price and some information. I purchased my dusty feeder and was thrilled with my priceless information that a young teenage boy gave me and I was on my way. I had planned on going back today but they're not open on Sundays.
