we recently got chickens. I went here to check the store out and maybe pick up some randomness we may need. I didn't find the staff (seems to be one guy) very knowledgeable. bought a small bag of chicken meal worms and left. today I needed to buy a 50 lbs. bag of chicken feed. I did my research myself this time. most of their Chicken feed was NOT Priced. SO I did a quick google search on one I was interested in to see the cost online.... so I had an idea. I didn't want to carry a 50 lbs bag up to the register and find out it was more than I wanted to spend. online said $19.99 on Chewy. so I grabbed that bag and headed to the register. I asked how much the guy said $24.99. okay I'll take it. I mentioned a lot (most) of the chicken feed didn't have prices. his response "I sell it too fast to price it" and some other dumb one liners. OKAY then Mr genius how about putting a sign or price on the rack Surely that can't be to much effort. I own a business that I KNOW for a fact sells 10x's or more the amount of items this place does in a day. yet all our items are priced the old fashioned way with a price gun. we also inventory it into an out of date Point of sale system. anyhoo. this place cost more than getting it shipped directly to your house. I looked at other items too for my chickens and dogs and decided overall I will not be back due to overpriced items and rudeness/or lack of caring. generally wouldn't have been bothered by the slightly higher prices. But the staff ruined my ability to want to shop small or local With them. it's pretty simple to say..."oh didn't realize we skipped a few items I'll check it out". read more

I always visit Rancho Feed & Pet, this time that I went, I discovered that it has moved to a bigger location in the same parking lot. It used to be next to Pila's Pantry but is now next to Smart & Final. The new space is fantastic, offering a wide range of pet supplies including horse feed, chicken feed, dog food, cat food, and other pet foods and accessories. The staff is always helpful and nice. They also feature different vendors for trinkets, and I love that they have birthday cakes for pets in the refrigerator area! Overall, it's always pleasant coming here for my pet needs. read more

My wife and I recently went to Rancho feed & Pet, we spoke with Michelle, I have been seeking her help when I have questions about my horse for the past several years, she is always spot on and very helpful as she has horse of her own and speaks from experience. We sought her advise recently because our older Assie occasionally limps on her left rear leg, some days she does, some she doesn't. When she doesn't she does want to get up. Michelle recommended an Earthing Mat and/or some supplements that worked for her dog, again from experience. We have seen a noticeable difference in her behavior since she started lying on the earthing mat and taking the supplements and she has more energy. Today our mobil groomer commented on how much accepting our dog was along with more energy she had, "She had lots of kisses for me" said our groomer. Michelle, is not a Veterinarian, nor does she claimed to be, she is a gal who loves her job, her store, the products in it, and most of all loves her customers. When you go there, take a minute tell to talk to her, she will listen, and hope that she can help you and your furry friend. The best feed store I have ever been too! The staff is friendly accommodating and always willing to help. They're willing to acquire almost any food you need and always have suggestions. Thanks to them I have a local supplier of Farmia cat food which my cats need do to health conditions. They purchased on a suggestion and request the largest bag you can get. When my cat had an ear infection and nothing seemed to be working they had a lot of good suggestions including diet changes. I also has a dog that destroys EVERYTHING and their jolly ball toy suggestion is still thriving in the yard. Most toys last 2-3 min. I'm so happy I found this place. I love coming in to this beautiful store. Everyone here is always so helpful and make you feel welcome. Their service is top notch. I came in today for one of my horses looking for a probiotic and the sweet gal asked if she could show me where it was. That is so helpful. I was able to buy more than I came in for as their selection is amazing. Their knowledge of each product is awesome too and it helps you to make a better decision. While I was there, I had brought my dog in as well. I was able to get her some help for her itchy skin and they gave me some samples of foods to help with her different issues. They really genuinely care about your pets. If you need help with anything or have any questions they are so helpful. I highly recommend this store. Found Rancho feed store after visiting another shop located in the plaza and boy was I happy. Not only do they carry top brand food for your pet but the owners is very knowledgeable about my dog breed and provides great food and snack recommendations based on descriptions I shared about my spoiled dog. Yo will not find this type of care and support at the franchise pet stores. This store carries brands that can only be purchased online in some cases. Since becoming a customer I've encouraged my mom to make the shift to shopping only from this store. I'm soooo glad we decided to visit we no longer patron those large franchise pet stores. Holy cow this place rocks!!! I came here after calling my vet to see about sedation for 4th of July fire works. The vets quoted me for $120 for two dogs and one pill each... A bit more than I was willing to spend. They said to call a feed store and see what they had for our dogs and this was our first call. When I called, Calvin answered and was so patient and informative. He explained our different options but said he would be glad to help us when we got there We went straight to the feed store and got so much information. We were never rushed and Calvin answered every single question (and there were a lot) that we had. We went over different ways to calm our dogs, over different food choices, and supplements to help with our aging dogs. In that store almost an hour and even left with samples. We will be back and calling to meet sure Calvin is around to help. What an amazing business. They just moved to the old thrift store location.
