This was conveniently located by Lorimer St L train stop. My friend found it by searching for fun places that specialize in making bread. It wasn't busy for a weekend brunch time with many empty tables. I tried their smoked iced tea which tasted like an herbal tea. We shared the rye pita, semolina pita with a few dips including hummus, bottarga and Labneh. We did ask for an extra semolina pita to finish off the dips. The pitas were very warm and fresh and the dips were as expected. The lahmajun was a crowd favorite which was a flat bread topped with lamb. We shared the roasted snap peas, the braised chicken and the fusilli. Everything was done well. I would recommend trying this place if you're in the neighborhood.

somehow managed to pull off stellar Mediterranean and Italian food at a single location was going to be in the neighborhood so decided to stop by this place. was easy to make a reservation and seated right away. the place has a very quaint atmosphere and excellent service. the food was just spectacular in every way. Seeded Semolina Pita 5/5 - probs one of the best breads I've had, warm, poofy, with just the right amount of char. topped with sesame seeds. Rye Pita 4/5 - also excellent, but just a little boring Hummus 5/5 - classic and yummy Labneh 4/5 - a tad sour, but well spiced Arugula Salad 5/5 - the dressing was so good. nice crunch from the breadcrumbs and candied walnuts Dry Aged Lamb Meatballs 5/5 - very juicy. not too gamy. pomegranate was an interesting combo Fusilli 5/5 - al dente. the crunch from the breadcrumbs was a surprising touch. nice spicy kick Risotto 4/5 - well made but a tad bland, could've used a little more mushrooms Chocolate Torte 4/5 - chocolate on chocolate. liked the crust Roasted Chickpea Ice Cream 5/5 - wow, so creamy and interesting use of ingredients. the halva topping was excellent PSA: Happy hour ends at 6:30PM so you can order from the menu to kick off dinner if you come before then

Writing this review as I'm sitting in this exquisite restaurant! Service 100/10, food 100/10. Simple decor & great atmosphere. Can't recommend enough. To add: Mitch is the best!

Upon entering this place is quite small and cozy. Candle lit ambiance. Bright and welcoming. They have a happy hour menu that had the choice of a bread, dip and a drink for $18. Super cute. From 4pm - 6:30pm. I had the Semolina with hummus with a P & C Spritz - Bordiga Aperitivo. The Pita came out smokin hot and fresh. Hummus was packed with all the flavors. Absolutely delicious The spritzer had one too many ice cubes in it but refreshing nonetheless. For my entree I ordered the Fusilli - shrimp bolognese, watercress, breadcrumbs and oregano - OMG - amazing. The breadcrumbs added such a great crunch to every bite. This dish was delightful. Great portion and just the right amount of everything. Spice. Flavor. Shrimp. Damn. So so good. Left me full and pleasantly satisfied. I will definitely be back. They have a few more plates that I'd like to try. Service was impeccable. Highly impressed with this spot, as I knew I would be. Nothing but perfection. Down to the decor in the bathroom. Stunning.

Spent a cozy evening in this neighborhood gem with friends who were minutes away from welcoming their first child (seriously--their baby arrived the next day). I'll always be grateful to them for introducing us to the deliciousness that exists within these walls: - Seeded Semolina Pita and Rye Pita: Could bread be any softer, fresher or more fragrant? I could eat 10 lbs of this every day. Mmmm, carb-tastic! - Dips: Baccala Caponata, Bottarga, Labneh. Fish lovers must get the Baccala and the Bottarga, while savory cream lovers will of course enjoy the labneh - Hamachi Crudo: There's never not a good time for crudo, but the middle of a heat wave is especially apt - Roasted Snap Peas: If all parents could cook snap peas like this, I guarantee no kid would reject their vegetables. Crisp, refreshing, minty, and fragrant--all with loads of vitamin K! - Dry Aged Lamb Meatballs: Classic and delicious - Fusilli: Don't bypass this because it sounds common. This is SHRIMP bolognese, son For a sweet after-finish, the Labneh Sorbet is all healthy granola meets antibacterial honey meets cardamom halva, and you know your mouth's going to be in flavor country. Get it.

Everything here was excellent! I called to check in about outdoor dining and though the answer was "it depends," the restaurant was very agreeable about setting up a table the night outside my friends and I were meeting up in the area. Service was excellent throughout the night. Everything we tried was super delicious and the prices were very fair. The $18 dollar happy hour was a great deal because you get a drink, dip, and pita, which normally would add up to quite a bit more. We tried the labneh and foie gras (not included in happy hour) with both pitas and both were exceptional. Loved how fluffy and warm the pitas were. We also got a shrimp Bolognese fusilli. Unique and delicious. We also got to try the meatballs (very very good) and a short rib flat bread (my least favorite). Wheelchair access details: there is a small step to get inside. I don't know if there is a ramp or accessible restroom is available as I didn't have a need to go in.

Great dinner in a cute, casually classy spot. We came during Restaurant Week, and were excited that they let the 2 of us share one Restaurant Week and add a dish. We started with a Bottarga dip with rye pita. LOVED the pita, so soft and fresh. The dip was pretty good, very oniony, a bit fishy with the roe. We then did the kale salad which was pretty solid too. I liked the crisps on it. For our shared plates, we did the casarecce and added on lamb meatballs. The casaracce was really filling and pretty good. The lamb meatballs came with 4, but were fairly large. Also solid. We were super full at this point. We ended with the chocolate torte, which had a nice gooey middle. Pretty small, but solid. Overall, everything was pretty good but nothing wowed me or was super memorable. I don't feel the need to come back. I'm also glad we split a Restaurant Week since it was enough food for us. If you have a bigger appetite or are super hungry, I'd consider adding on more dishes or getting 2 Restaurant Weeks.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was incredible, everything we tried we loved. We sat on the patio which was such a fun vibe. The service was great he was very attentive and didn't forget about us at all even though sometimes they can when you're outside. Definitely recommend this place!!

Great food, exceptional service, and a bit of a confusing decor but definitely a cozy date night ambience. The $18 drink, pita, and dip is an amazing deal beautifully presented

Second time back absolutely 5 STARS!! they were busy so we were able to get a seat at the bar. Always consistent, friendly service, outstanding food, all natural and freshly made. This place gives me a very relaxed feeling every time I come here. They have created and maintained a great space in Williamsburg that you should come and try. You can read my first review which was from last year. They were great and the bar seating gave me a great opportunity to see some of the food and drink prep( see videos). We started with the Happy Hour special voice of the homemade pita bread plus a spread/ appetizer and an alcoholic beverage for $16z We also had the lamb meatballs. Agnolotti pasta and the chicken sausage. We finished it all off with the chocolate torte which you cannot miss. Every dish is bursting with flavor, individual flavors circle your tongue. Bottom line is you have to try this place. It will not disappoint.

Came here for restaurant week with a friend and it was a great excuse to try a bunch of their bites. They have a weekly happy hour deal from 4:30-6:30 which includes a dip, bread, and a drink for $16 - which is a really really great deal that I'll definitely come back for. Their hummus and labneh were wonderful - very flavorful and paired well with their steamy rye pita. We opted for the Baccala Caponata as our third dip which wasn't our favorite - it was overly salty and fishy. The brown butter tomato salad fell a bit flat too - there wasn't much going on with it & it felt more like a side dish than a salad. The lamb meatballs were good and I loved the fresh yoghurt and pomegranates. The cod dish with lentils was nice too. One of my favorites was their Salted Caramel Chocolate Torte which was rich but lite at the same time. Overall, they have some solid options and I enjoyed the intimate atmosphere.

Homey, welcoming little spot where the star of the show is, by far, their homemade, hot semolina pita bread. Wowsas! Incredible fluffy, delicious stuff. Really enjoyed their uniquely-spicy labneh and the hummus, but the risotto was shrouded in salt. Could hardly eat it. Wouldn't come back but it's a great spot for a couple of dips and that incredible bread.

I went back for a weekday lunch recently and the food and atmosphere both hold up fabulously, so it makes sense why they've remained a brunch mainstay at both their East Village and Williamsburg locations. I enjoy that they serve their hot moroccan tea in a glass as is traditional, so you can see all the fresh mint leaves in your cup. I had tea like this multiple times a day during my trip to Morocco a few years back so sipping on this here took me back in time. I ordered a short stack of their blueberry pancakes which were very fluffy and delicious. They're not the kind of pancake with crispy edges, which are my preferred kind of pancake but I still found them satisfying. The moroccan eggs, which are two poached eggs in spicy stewed tomatoes and served with zahar pita is a delight. The pita is very fluffy and the zahatar adds such a nice fragrant spice to the bread. They used to serve this with potatoes but now those come at an additional charge but are well worth getting. The Williamsburg location also has pretty good wifi and they let me work on my laptop through my brief stay there. Kitchen was speedy too.

There was roasted garlic in the center looked great, but it didn't punch up the flavor as much too much. The pita was fine, but a bit dry and plain. For my main, I had the Israeli Breakfast with a side of pastrami smoked salmon. The eggs were soft-scrambled very well, and the salmon was exactly how I like it--fresh and buttery. I swapped the pita for seeded sourdough, though it looked and tasted more like standard buttered toast to the point that I double-check edwith the staff to confirm it was the sourdough. The Israeli salad was finely chopped and provided a nice balance to the meal, though it was a bit watery and lacked a flavor punch. The labneh with za'atar was thick and rich and good in small doses added to bread or the eggs. However, I think this combined with the other food was the source of the meal ending up being overwhelmingly salty, leaving me reaching for water for the rest of the day. I also sampled the chicken shawarma--the flavor was great, though it was a bit oily from the paprika oil and felt a tad pricey at $28. On a brighter note, the hot mint tea was fantastic, with hot water served over a generous amount of fresh mint leaves for a refreshing and flavorful tea. Despite the saltiness this time around, I'd return to try something else, like the fattoush salad with salmon.

Overall, it's a solid spot for a quick meal, even if it's "nothing to write home about." 3.5 stars. Fun Fact. I didn't realize this is actually a chain until I searched Yelp to find the right one to review. They have 30 locations, all corporate run!
