    I've attempted to go here three times - first time 2 hour wait, 2nd time they weren't taking any more walk-ins, third time is the charm!! Came a Saturday morning and wait time was only 30 mins. Wait time was shorter for outside vs. inside. Got the pancakes (ofc) to split, but would maybe request some whipped cream next time. Was craving a tuna melt that day & this hit the spot. Friends got the chicken club and sausage egg & cheese. Tuna melt & chicken club were my faves! Friendly waiter as well. Next time I go back I will wait extra for inside. Cute diner vibe!

    I arrived here about 9 minutes before opening on a Saturday morning and there was no one in line so I grabbed coffee next door with my bf and by the time we were done, around 3 minutes before opening, there were 4 groups in line. We all got seated immediately! I ordered zorba's plate - the halloumi was salty but great paired with the tomato, tzatziki and eggs. The potatoes were really good! But I'm more of a crispy potato lover He ordered the big boy breakfast which had sausage that was delicious and came with blueberry baby cakes which were so good! We also shared the baklava banana bread with the walnut crumble on the side since I don't like walnuts and it was legitimately so good! The ricotta paired with the baby cakes took it to another level as well. I'll definitely be back!

    Spanakopita was my favorite part of our meal. Delicious and crunchy. Whatever the dip was, it was amazing!

    Cute, trendy restaurant for brunch. We were lucky and got seated within a few minutes. Our server came over and took our drink order right away. I got a Decaf coffee with almond milk which was pretty bland (didn't finish it) and my daughter got the frappe which was kinda bitter (she didn't finish her's either). We found the very anticipated Baklava banana bread to be too dense (didn't finish), the Zorba plate was yummy (we ordered two extra eggs since we were splitting it). I really liked the side of potatoes and the slice of Feta cheese-They were seasoned perfectly! The Spanakopita was the best thing we tried. It was satisfyingly crunchy with a wonderful side of seasoned Greek yogurt - I think it was yogurt but I could be wrong - whatever it was, it was delicious! All in all, we were glad we went, but don't feel the need to go back.

    Just wow, seriously incredible!! My friend loves this place and brought me here to try. We shared the Banana Baklava Babycakes, Kalimera (watermelon) Salad and I think this last one was a special (I'll Have What Kareem's Having). Everything was seriously so so good, but the watermelon salad was to die for. So refreshing and definitely the best watermelon salad I've ever had. The interior is cute and service is great. Definitely would love to come back here when I'm in the city.

    This brunch place is always so busy. Both times I have stopped by there has been a wait. It is a cozy little brunch place that serves great food. My friend and I got the Zorba plate and the Plato's plate and we both really enjoyed them. But the highlight on our table for me was the freshly squeezed orange juice (is a little pricey) and the babycakes which had a nice char flavor to them. I definitely will be back to try more of their brunch items in the future and most likely another flavor of babycakes!

    We came here on a busy Saturday morning and managed to get a table about 15 minutes after putting our name down, but expect a wait! We split the blueberries and cream babycakes and the zorba plate. The babycakes are a must, so fluffy and the perfect amount of cream and fruit. The plate was yummy as well, the potatoes were so flavorful and the whole plate worked well together. The inside is full of colorful retro memorabilia which is really fun, it's generally a cute hoppin spot. But for what we spent I was expecting to be a little more full... I needed another meal pretty soon after. Otherwise, fantastic brunch.

    this is my go to solo brunch a lot or a spot for a comforting meal. I all their breakfast options and i always have to end my brunch with something sweet and their blueberry baby cakes is my favorite! The decor in there is all nostalgic and baby blue themed (of course) only downside is that there is no reservations and sometimes a wait could be up to 2 hours on a weekend but totally worth it. If you really want to try, come on a weekday but if not, expect a wait!

    Really cool spot for a brunch! But I do not think it is worth a very long wait so my recommendation would be to come on a weekday. Really great lighting and fun decor. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh!

    Inside is indeed a gorgeous baby blue and very spacious

    Has been on my list for a while and decided to take advantage of going on a weekday for lunch. Frappe: not as sweet as I thought. Still has that slight bitterness you may want out of your coffee. Greek potatoes: doesn't matter what dish you get. Make sure you get these potatoes! Seasoning is perfect and has the taste of perfect hash. The surface area of every mandolin-thin potato maximizes the flavor. Every little bit is browned and it is a mix of light crisp and a parboiled softness. Sausage egg and cheese sandwich: perfectly soft scrambled eggs and picture perfect American cheese peeking out and covering breakfast sausage on a soft brioche bun.

    Returned on a Thursday at 12:30 pm for lunch and there was no wait - weekdays are definitely the move here. I ordered the banana date shake, which was amazing (love that it's vegan - I'm dairy-sensitive). Pumpkin pancakes (special) and pita and halloumi plate were both fantastic. The winner, though, was the side of Greek potatoes and tzatziki. Sooo good. Will try the HLT next time!

    Stopped by on a random weekday and waited for about 15 minutes. The restaurant has cute retro diner vibes, it's a small space, and our server was friendly. There are a lot of healthy options to choose from. We ordered the Zorba Plate, Like a Greek Bagel, Lamb Burger, Blueberry Baby Cakes, and a Greek frappe. Zorba Plate - Loved the variety, but the potatoes took up the majority of the plate. Still, everything was really good and well-seasoned. I just wish it came with more pieces of halloumi. Like a Greek Bagel - Came with a long piece of crispy sourdough instead of an actual bagel. It was creamy and zesty, served with a side of smoked salmon. Blueberry Baby Cakes - Fluffy and amazing; no syrup needed. So good! Will be back if I venture out to Williamsburg again.

    My friend decided on a new lunch spot that she saw go viral on social media - we came in around 12 on a Tuesday & it was pretty packed. I may be bias because my favorite color is blue but the interior design was so pretty! I ordered the "Zorba Plate" & she got the classic chicken club, alongside frappes - if you know me, you know I LOVE CINNAMON so I appreciated the amount of cinnamon on my coffee hehe. Our food had a lot of flavor & was tasty. The only thing that I'd recommend is potentially adding more dishes with protein? .. but I do understand it's more of a breakfast / brunch spot. I'm looking forward to coming back & trying the baklava banana pancakes, they looked soooo good!

    Baby Blue's Luncheonette is a modern day Greek inspired, New Yorker breakfast spot that knows what they are doing. I can't stand the crazy crowds that the internet brings to restaurants but I do love great food. So to be less stressed, I go during the week and avoid those weekend warriors. I could not recommend this more. I have a staycation and that meant crossing off something my food to do list. Tons of people talk about breakfast here. The pictures are great. My only concern was if my boyfriend (New Yorker) would enjoy the portion and the food. We had a 10 out of 10 experience. We arrived before opening. There was a family before us. Everyone was calm and sat down. And the waitstaff took care of people in the order they came in. I loved having time to really review the menu. We both decided on the Frappe with whole milk. I was obsessed with the cinnamon dust on top of this frothy, caffeinated concoction. We loved every sip. We decided on splitting the baby cakes with baclava and bananas. I'm the pickiest when it comes to pancakes. These were so fluffy and the toppings took it to the next level! Absolutely in love! I decided on the Zorba plate. My egg yolks were bright orange, yellow which is always a sign of flavor and quality. The tzatziki was the right sauce to dip my potatoes in. Having the juicy eggs and a nibble of halloumi for the perfect bite. The potatoes really helped soak up sauce in lieu of bread. My boyfriend got the lamb burger with an egg and he was in heaven! He said it was decadent but didn't make him feel heavy. The food was all fantastic, the service was top notch. And I loved the decor with strong New Yorker and Greek elements!! It's like the place is a person and you walked into their home. Very happy to finally make it here. Can't wait to return! So nice to see so many options for me.

    Menu with plenty of tasty options!

We ordered quite a few dishes, and the octopus was definitely one of my favorites--such a generous portion with two huge tentacles! The branzino and squid ink seafood pasta were also delicious. The pita chips were crispy and nicely seasoned with herbs, while the moussaka was rich, hearty, and packed with layers of bold Mediterranean flavors. The crispy fries with garlic oil were another hit. The cocktails were creative and impressive, and we ended with the Galaktoboureko for dessert. The creamy semolina custard wrapped in phyllo was delicious, although a little sweet for my taste. Next time, I'd probably go for the Loukoumades with Nutella pistachio sauce instead. Service was solid throughout--our waiter was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, a fun spot with great food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere for a birthday celebration!

Athena is a quaint little place with friendly staff like Stavros (I hope that's how he spells it). For an appetizer, we ordered the dip trio with hummus (which was so creamy and delicious), spicy whipped feta, and tzatziki, which was honestly the star of the trio. Stavros was also kind enough to bring us more pita bread to finish our dips! I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki, and it was amazing. Juicy and sizable cuts of lamb dipped in more tzatziki on top of a bed of fluffy rice pilaf. It's a hefty plate so I only ate about half and took the rest back to my hotel. I hope I can eat the other half before I leave! I'm also hoping there's a place in Raleigh, where I live, that can match this experience. What's not pictured is the baklava dessert, which was quickly demolished by the three of us. It was originally meant for me only, but my partner and his best friend couldn't resist multiple bites. If you love Mediterranean food and you're in New York, add this place to your list. Well worth the trip. And also ask about the "Windex" shots (;

I called to say it was a half hour late and the man who answered the phone was instantly abusive, first denying it was late then blaming Grub Hub in a tone of voice that was so nasty, I told him not to talk to a customer that way -- which only made him more abusive. I gave as good as I got -- this is New York where people you yell at yell back -- and he hung up. I cancelled the order. So I suggest that if you want to eat at Athena, go to the restaurant. If you order for delivery, it will likely come late and if you call to ask about it you may found yourself being screamed at by a psychotic who clearly shouldn't have any job that brings him into contact with the human race.
