I heard lots of great things about this place so may have had too high of expectations and ordered the wrong thing but thought this was a pretty standard breakfast. I got the blueberry pancakes which I truely feel I could have made myself at home, eggs and bacon. The eggs were a huge portion. Everything was good and the service was good but nothing special. Honestly, my favorite thing was my Arnold Palmer. The vibes are super cute and you can tell it's a staple in the neighborhood but I wouldn't go out of my way or wait in line for the pancakes here. Cute, trendy restaurant for brunch. We were lucky and got seated within a few minutes. Our server came over and took our drink order right away. I got a Decaf coffee with almond milk which was pretty bland (didn't finish it) and my daughter got the frappe which was kinda bitter (she didn't finish her's either). We found the very anticipated Baklava banana bread to be too dense (didn't finish), the Zorba plate was yummy (we ordered two extra eggs since we were splitting it). I really liked the side of potatoes and the slice of Feta cheese-They were seasoned perfectly! The Spanakopita was the best thing we tried. It was satisfyingly crunchy with a wonderful side of seasoned Greek yogurt - I think it was yogurt but I could be wrong - whatever it was, it was delicious! Just wow, seriously incredible!! My friend loves this place and brought me here to try. We shared the Banana Baklava Babycakes, Kalimera (watermelon) Salad and I think this last one was a special (I'll Have What Kareem's Having). This brunch place is always so busy. Both times I have stopped by there has been a wait. It is a cozy little brunch place that serves great food. My friend and I got the Zorba plate and the Plato's plate and we both really enjoyed them. But the highlight on our table for me was the freshly squeezed orange juice (is a little pricey) and the babycakes which had a nice char flavor to them. I all their breakfast options and i always have to end my brunch with something sweet and their blueberry baby cakes is my favorite! The decor in there is all nostalgic and baby blue themed (of course) only downside is that there is no reservations and sometimes a wait could be up to 2 hours on a weekend but totally worth it. Firstly, why is the OJ $8, highway robbery! Then the food was super oily and needed more salt. I can't stand the crazy crowds that the internet brings to restaurants but I do love great food. So to be less stressed, I go during the week and avoid those weekend warriors. I was obsessed with the cinnamon dust on top of this frothy, caffeinated concoction. We loved every sip. We decided on splitting the baby cakes with baclava and bananas. I'm the pickiest when it comes to pancakes. These were so fluffy and the toppings took it to the next level! Absolutely in love! I decided on the Zorba plate. My egg yolks were bright orange, yellow which is always a sign of flavor and quality. The tzatziki was the right sauce to dip my potatoes in. Having the juicy eggs and a nibble of halloumi for the perfect bite. The potatoes really helped soak up sauce in lieu of bread. My boyfriend got the lamb burger with an egg and he was in heaven! He said it was decadent but didn't make him feel heavy. The food was all fantastic, the service was top notch. And I loved the decor with strong New Yorker and Greek elements!! Staff are great, very sweet and friendly. The room is lovely, nice and bright with whimsical decorations and the tables are well sized. We ate a Greek salad and one of their breakfast plates the ingredients were good quality and very fresh. It was simple but tasty food. There's plenty to choose from so everyone should be able to find something they like. Prices are reasonable. I thought this would be a low key neighborhood diner, but it is actually a viral NYC hit with rave reviews. They don't take reservations. The first time I tried to go, the wait was over an hour. The second time, the wait just to get on the waitlist was also crazy. This time, we came first thing in the morning, waiting twenty minutes before they opened at 9am, and we were able to get a table. The decor is fairly unassuming. They have two seaters with couches against one wall, several other tables inside, and larger tables with benches outside. NYC memorabilia and photos fill the walls. To drink, I had the watermelon juice. It was heavier than I was expecting, but very flavorful. I diluted it with water so that it was a little less sweet. To eat, I got the zorba plate and added avocado. It was a good portion size and very tasty. The potatoes were slightly crisp and well-seasoned. The fried eggs were on the runnier side. The tomato was fresh. I expected a bit more halloumi and tzatziki. There was only one fairly small piece of halloumi, which was a bummer since that's actually what enticed me to the restaurant in the first place. We also shared the blueberries and cream waffle. It was perfectly sweet from the blueberry compote and the cream was fresh and fluffy. Service was fast. They provided a bottle of tap water for the table and refilled ours quickly when we were running low. The food was certainly satisfying, but I wouldn't say the ridiculously long lines are worth it. Our wait time was an hour, so we walked around the area to get a quick drink and check out the nearby shops/parks. After an hour, we were messaged that our table was ready. The inside is super cute with vintage baby blue style decorations. I loved all the wall decorations and there was so much beautiful sunlight inside. We ordered the zorba plate ($22) & H.L.T. ($16) (added egg + $3) to share. The food came out super quickly (max 10 minutes). Zorba plate: I wouldn't recommend this dish. The ratio for tzatziki/potatoes was pretty off. Half the plate was potatoes & it didn't really have much flavor. The eggs/tomato mix was good, but this dish just felt like it was missing something. It was super salty but that's it. There was also barely any tzatziki which is the best part. This was not worth the price for me. H.L.T. (with egg): We really enjoyed this dish. The bread was the best part and somehow had so much flavor. I would really recommend adding the egg as it added the flavor that we didn't get from the halloumi. I would defiantly order this dish again. The pickle it came with was also one of the best pickles I've had (and I love pickles). When we asked for the check after eating, it seemed like he forgot about us because we waited quite some time. He apologized for the delay.
