Between 3 and 4 stars. Pizza was very good and perfect size for one person. I also read their explanation about cooking in a food truck and weather. I guess there was no wind and sun/temperature was perfect today at Redmond making pizzas crispy. Super nice and efficient staff until the end. They were busy. They always have plenty of customers but I still believe there should be a better way to deliver the product. It was a huge problem dealing with the high noise and music, plus all people gathered and not in line. The lady cooking was also yelling names for the pizzas already cooked. At one point, a man came over and starting lifting plates because owner names were on the bottom. Pizzas could have had fallen down. Not hygienic neither. Visited their booth at the Bellevue 4th of July celebration. Pompeii's was a very very welcome find and I am very glad I selected this stand for my dinner. After having a horrible experience at Topolino's Pizza's stand a few vendors down, I decided I did really want a pizza and would be willing to pay more money for this company. The service was fantastic, there were a large number of employees taking orders and working behind the counter preparing food. All of them were well presentable, had smiles on their face and appeared to be enjoying being at work. The lady who took my order around 6:30pm was kind, personable and efficient in handling large crowds. The pizza was fantastic. I had a Hawaiian style pizza that had some of the fleshiest toppings you could ask for. The crust was thin, which is understandable for a quick service made to order pizza with a flaky cracker like taste. The size was perfect for an individual pizza and the price, although higher then other stands, was very reasonable for an outdoor special event. A personal pizza and can of Pepsi was $10.00 with tax. Pompeii earns my five star vote as a wonderful pizza establishment and local business who I hope to support again! read more

I worked a wedding this weekend and was very pleasantly surprised at how good this pizza was. The completely self sufficient food van showered up with oven in tow. The crew of four served the 5 different unique pizzas and 2 salad choices efficiently and professionally. Pizza at a wedding is not a novelty these days, but good pizza is. This was delightful! Mostly hit the spot! They had their oven set up outside the office and it sure did smell good. I ordered the Mt Vesuvius (minus onions) and after about 7 mins I was starting at one sexy pizza. All the toppings were good, not too much cheese, but I only wish the crust was just a little crispier. I'm not sure if the oven wasn't hot enough or if they just took it out too quick. Anyway, next time I they stop by I'll happily get another...and kindly remind them to make sure it's a crispy. read more

Hands down this place has the best pizza I've ever tasted in my life!!!! This is what REAL pizza tastes like!! I had the pleasure of eating here when they were at a concert in Marymoor and again at the Evergreen State Fair! I don't usually like pizza but something about their crust and how they wood fire it makes their pizza deliciously different from the rest! It's tastes more like gourmet pizza than just any old pizza. All of their toppings taste fresh and the sauce is amazing! Service was great and the owner and staff were all super friendly! My family and I love the Mt. Vesuvius! It's sad that they don't have a restaurant but they do lots of catered events like weddings, graduations, farmers markets, and concerts which is nice! Saved space in line at tonight's Reign game. Ordered nine cheese pizzas rather than drag everybody up to make the line longer. They were sour about taking the order and then pushed my order out of the way for 30 min until I asked how things were going. Then they put the order through. EVERY OTHER CUSTOMER WAS TAKEN IN ORDER. We hired Pompeii for our rustic backyard wedding in August... and our friends are STILL talking about it. Dawnelle was super easy to work with pre-wedding and come wedding day everything went off without a hitch! The food was amazing (yes, our wedding coordinator made sure I sat down to eat on our wedding day) and one of our guests let Dawnelle know that she was gluten-free, so she whipped her up her own gluten-free pizza on the spot! We had 100 guests, and got to choose 4 different pizza varieties, a salad, and we had the crostini bar. They showed up when they were supposed to, fed everyone in a timely manner, cleaned up quickly and were gone without a trace. Attended a birthday party last night and Pompeii Woodfired Pizza did the food. Wow, if it hadn't been for the windy 48° "spring in Seattle" evening, I would have thought I was in Naples, eating the real deal! We bought pizzas for our family at a concert in the park in North bend and we all had a terrible time eating it because the cheese was falling off all over the place. Wsa wine tasting on 7/8 in Woodenville and they were set up in the Hollywood School house parking area. my wife got a Margarita and I got a Greek. They were both amazing. You'll find this food truck at Memorial Stadium for Seattle Reign games. The qUality of their pizzas is so-so: a bit too thin to hold easily, but the toppings are okay. Mine was decent enough one time, but could have used more cheese another. As another reviewer mentioned, they are not particularly friendly. My biggest issue though is cleanliness. I watched as a long-haired guy pulled out pizza crusts, spooned on sauce, and covered with cheese USING HIS BARE HANDS. Forget the lack of hairnets: bare hands pushing around my cheese? Blech. I mentioned politely that he should be wearing gloves, and the cashier just said with a sigh,"Yes he should." But did nothing about it. The man making three pizzas for me and my kids at the Kirkland Friday Farmer's Market at their pizza vendor station put the heaviest pizza on top of a stack of the other two, with a flimsy plate between that stuck to my childrens' pizzas, ripping all the cheese off and making them inedible. When I returned to ask him to make them again and give us sturdy plates on top, he began yelling at me in front of my 8 year old and 5 year old, saying they have pizzas burning in the oven and they can't stop to even listen to me. There were no other pizzas being made and no line at that time. He also lied and said they were not allowed to give out the sturdy plates as covers for the pizzas. When I asked for a full refund, he then finished the awful experience when he tried to lie and steal from me and my children, saying they could not give refunds. The young woman working there, promptly corrected this thief working there and said that yes, I could have a refund after all. When my children got home, my 8 year old burst into tears, saying that man ruined their pizza and was so mean to us. I'm leaving the same feedback in Yelp, facebook, and anywhere else. This man should not be around human beings, and he should have his permit taken away for lying, bullying single mothers with small children, and attempting to steal from them. He could have made it right very quickly and easily by remaking the cheese pizza and the pepperoni pizza and handing them to us with sturdy plates that he lied and said could only be used for the bottom plate. Truly an awful experience that could so easily be avoided, and so easily remedied without bringing my children to tears. read more

A big shout out to Pompeii Wood Fired Pizza Company. They catered my mother's 100th BD on June 14th. We had around 45 people at my house from all over the US and Canada. Pompeii arrived on time, set up fast and got the food going. The pizzas were outstanding!! Everyone was commenting on how delicious and tasty they were. We had the appetizer bar and the seasonal fruit green salad they were perfect as well. I would highly recommend Pompeii for your next event. Not only was the food great, but the service as well.
