Neil did a great job fixing our waterfall fixture. During the consultation he evaluated our situation and asked how much we wanted to invest in fixing our waterfall. I let him know how much effort we were willing to put in and he came up with a great solution within our budget. Once he was done, I was happy with the fixture, but he thought it would look better with a stronger pump. He ended up returning our pump and picking up a stronger one the same day. My very able and persistent handyman tried to figure out why the fountains quit working despite a new pump and he couldn't. Neil has done a beautiful job reviving my pond once again. I have koi that are over 25 years old in my pond and Neil uses the utmost care to make sure they are safe while the pond is being cleaned out. He has a giant holding tank to keep the koi in while the pond is being cleaned. The age of my koi and their fragility is one of the reasons I wait so long to clean the pond out, but Neil knows about koi needs, and how to treat the water and koi during and after the pond work. His aesthetic is perfect, and he leaves the pond looking like new again. Ponds like mine should be cleaned out more frequently than I have done, so Neil had a big challenge to fix my pond up. Neil helped us redo our pond. I had really large koi that were over whelming. The pond was not fun anymore. The ecology of the pond was also an issue that Neil helped us with as well. We got rid of all the large fish and replaced them with small butterfly goldfish. He also installed rock which created a little hiding place for the fish to go under. When I took occupancy on my new home in Berkeley, I was pretty nervous about the fact that there was a big water feature in the yard. It's a three level pond system with a dock at one end that houses two pumps. In addition, there were extra pumps installed on the side of the house that drew water into a complex filtration system (presumably in order to keep the water crystal clear). To make matters worse, it was clear that the pond was leaking somewhere, and 3 of the 4 pumps were not working. One visit from Neil at Pond Revival was all it took to give me confidence that we could simplify and restore the system into a living ecosystem. The first few visits were comprised mostly of leak fixing and investigation. However, Neil saved me a few thousand bucks by salvaging two of the 3 broken pumps (it turned out they were just clogged, not broken, which I never would have known). In addition, he was able to locate and fix several leaks, while teaching me in the process how to find them. It took a few more visits (sometimes with Neil, sometimes with one of his colleagues), but at this point my pond is alive and well. The redundant pumps and equipment on the side of the house are scheduled to be removed, as they were overly complex and unnecessary. Furthermore, the pumps and skimmers under the dock are functioning again. Neil rebuild the pond walls with boulders and planted some beautiful plants along the way. He even told me which plants in my yard were invasive so that I could make the decision to keep or remove them. Today, he's scheduled to bring by some fish. To be honest, it's hard to believe it's the same pond! Overall, I can't recommend Pond Revival highly enough. Neil truly works from the heart, is completely honest and fair, and is absolutely gifted with water features. I have had a pond at my home for nearly 20 years and it was desperately in need of help. The job was too much for me: the rock waterfall was in a state of disrepair, the pond plants had overgrown all over, a lot of rocks that had been along the outside of the pond had fallen in the pond over time, taking up a lot of room, there was too much algae on the rocks.
