I used these guys for a local move within Nocatee and did so based on a good friends recommendation but without reading the yelp reviews. Now I feel fortunate because my move went very smoothly. I had them show up in the morning and they were on time. (I could see where they could be late for moves later in the day depending what they run into in their morning move.) Definitely schedule them in the morning if at all possible. I had Johnny and Patrick and they were very professional and polite. They moved me in and out within 2 1/2 hours which what I had expected. They didn't break anything or scratch any walls moving things. One thing the lady on the phone didn't tell me about when she quoted the job was they add fees for wrapping furniture, for the tape they use and for bagging the mattress and box spring. It wasn't a lot but they should tell you that when you call. Based on my move I'd recommend them. read more

They're probably fine for a simple move but we needed to put our home into storage- communication was abysmal and owners were incredibly unprofessional (yelling at us!) and telling us we should have been aware of the issues w storage units given the housing market. Scheduled a move in advance for a Sunday. Time of arrival was supposed to be around 8:30. I called the company around 9:30 when they did not arrive. Spoke with an extremely rude person who wanted to tell me they were closed and didn't move on Sundays. That was a lie. After back and forth with the owner they finally arrived at 4:30 pm. One of the movers advised us that another older, wealthy and difficult customer who was supposed to be moved the following day was put in front of us. I really wished he hadn't told me that because it just made the situation even more frustrating. Finally, late at night, they advised us they weren't going to move some of the "little stuff". I don't blame the movers because they were obviously exhausted. I didn't enjoy moving a lot of stuff myself though. It defeats the purpose of hiring someone to do it. The owner is extremely rude and I would give zero stars if that were possible. Go with anyone else for your move. 100% awful! read more

Pulled into my complex and the movers were moving someone in. My windows were down when we drove by and I heard one of the guys yell, I thought they were talking to me so I asked and was responded to with " I'm not Fu***** talking you". I park my car and am standing outside side my apartment and they walk up and ask me "wtf are you looking at?", So we got into it. I called the owner of the company and they couldn't have cared less. The owner heard one of the guys yelling "I'll beat your a**", and the owner of the company was going to call the cops on ME for being upset and yelling back. They told me they were going to come back and see me, flicked me off repeatedly while yelling obscenities. Most of it was filmed. All of this nonsense happen because I thought they were talking to me. Absolutely ridiculous. Its my mission to tell everyone this, and show them the videos. What an awful moving company! I have a 1 bedroom 2 bathroom condo that fit into a 10x15 storage unit that took the movers 9 1/2 hours to move me! The move was scheduled for 9 a.m. the movers did not arrive until almost 11a.m., I called and talked to Kim and she informed me that the truck was wet due to the rain. Once the movers arrived they started loading the truck about 30 minutes into the move Brian went missing only later to find out that he had been spending his time sitting on my boxes on his phone. The other mover started complaining that Brian has been on his phone to his girl friend "arguing" so around 1:30 he come back into my condo with an awful attitude and says he's hangry and going downstairs to eat his order of Chinese food 40 minutes later they come back up and try to beat the rain storm. They are trying to get my $3000.00 treadmill out from a room and scraped it and broke the cord to my treadmill. Next thing I know I have one of my neighbors telling me that your moving truck just left! They left with half my belonging in the elevator (my end tables and lamps), in their moving truck, and in the hallway of my building (treadmill, dinning room glass table, which they broke the glass....my bed frame) along with their tools still in my condo a dolly, and about 25 of their blue covers. I called Kim immediately and said the owner will call me. Tim called about 10 minutes later I spoke to him and told him what happened and the attitude from Brian and Tim said he has never had that happen before so I reassured him that it did he said the truck was at his place. He did send someone over to put my belonging back inside my Condo and we rescheduled the move for the next day. I was greeted by the new movers they approached me and said in order to move today I had to give them my CC# I had no choice needless to say not happy at all the movers started around 9:30 and by 10a.m. Joey need to use the restroom I directed him to the office he went missing for 40 minutes and when he returned Ray had to utilize the facilities and he went missing for 40 minutes. they return the move was finished and finally getting to the storage unit to store my items. It took the less than 2hours to unload the truck. I was charged for 9 1/2 hours which equaled $1,301.50. I called Tim and told him he needs to redo this bill I am not paying for his workers mistakes! He said he would call me back the next day. Nothing from Tim I called again and he says what do you want; we moved you. I told him it was a 1 bd 2ba condo and my storage unit is a 10x15 this move should have only taken 4hrs at the most! I told him there are cameras at the condo for reviewing what took place and the custodians from the building saw them sitting on my boxes and talking on their phones on my time he was surprised that it was caught on tape yet refused to come and look a the videos. I said to Tim I am willing to pay for the 4 hours, yet I want to be reimbursed for my $800. glass table and my $3000.00 treadmill needless to say I have not heard back from him and will not take my calls. Unreliable! I scheduled an appointment for a move a week in advance and called the day before to confirm. Throughout the extremely stressful moving day I had to call them multiple times to inquire about their ETA,instead of them calling me to tell me.I Spoke to 2 ladies who promised to call me back and update me but never called me back.Poor communication! They did a wonderful job. Josh and Steven worked so hard, never wasting time. They wrapped our valuables so nothing was marred or broken in the move. My mom scheduled Ponte Vedra Movers after a friend referred them. After reading numerous bad reviews on Yelp, I admit I was a little nervous about using PV movers to move my mom from Oakbridge TPC to Starling. I had my mom call the owner and make them aware of the bad reviews, her deadline for closing and requested she get a commitment from them to arrive as scheduled. Blake and Bryeion showed up on the specified date and were on time, courteous & hard working. They worked nonstop to load all of our pre packed boxes and wrapped and carefully loaded her furniture. Everything arrived in perfect condition and nothing was damaged or broken. They were also very careful with the walls and floors. I guess success depends on which guys are your moving team. I have moved over 10 times and these guys impressed me. I would definitely use PV Movers again if I could have Blake & Bryeion as my team. read more

Apparently last Sunday was the day to be late. The guys were 30 minutes late. When they arrived, they smelt like a smoke stack. They did their job, but moved rather slowly. The only reason the job was done in the two hour minimum is because my sister, dad, and I were just as involved in unpacking the truck as the movers were. At least they moved the heavy stuff. I used this company based off my sisters recommendation and the fact that there was availability at the last minute. Also super grateful that the woman that booked me booked me later than agreed upon incase anything happened on the front end of the job. I don't understand why late is acceptable. We recently hired Ponte Vedra movers for my parents who are in their 70's. The time was scheduled between 1-3 on a Saturday. At 3 someone called my dad and said they were running 3 hours behind. 6 o'clock came around and nobody showed up. At 8:30pm i got a hold of who I think was the owner, which at that point was unaware that no one had showed up to my parents. Finally at 9pm... 2 young, exhausted guys showed up. They had been working since 9 that morning. My parents were on a 3rd floor condo (which company had been made aware), so moving the big pieces of furniture were the main focus for the movers, and all they really did... if it hadn't been for my dad and I going down and up 3 stories about 100 times bringing everything from boxes to small furniture...we would have NEVER finished. A move that was planned for a Saturday day, with family waiting on the other end to help unpack...turned into the worst moving experience of their lives. We finished at 2:30 AM! The 2 kids were exhausted and one was limping, we felt bad for them and tipped them and fed them....ended up paying the FULL price with no official apology from management (i wasnt expecting one from the movers...they did the best they could...but they DEFINATELY were not professional movers/packers...they were clueless how to safely lift and both looked like they were not gonna last another day doing this job!). Unacceptable customer service from management . If i had not been there to physically help my parents with the move, they would have finished at 6 in the morning! My parents are still recovering. They really stepped in and rescued me!! My movers failed to show up on Sunday and I had to be out on Monday! I called at 6 pm on Sunday night and they were at my door 10 minutes early Monday morning. They sent John and Luis- the most polite and incredibly strong young men who were quick and protective of my things; they even worked around me leaving to go sign closing documents and for a very small fee hauled away some unwanted furniture. We have used Ponte Vedra Movers for years and they always come through for us. Today was no different. Jimmy and Brad were wonderful today. They assisted in moving furniture upstairs for us. Then they put our dining room back together. When I asked them to take things to our storage locker and bring back a few items they were right on it. Always polite, clean and friendly. They really care about our belongs and make sure everything is just how we want them before they leave. read more

Had a 9am appointment. Movers got to my home at 4:15PM. By far the worst customer service you could ask for. Kim I believe is the owner and is extremely rude. The movers were very nice and helpful and did a great job. However instead of saying "it'll be 4pm before we can get to you, the owners told me "another 45min" each of the 5 times I had to call. I asked if they were going to compensate me or discount the hourly rate at all and the owner said "what do you want us to do??? Move you for free??" And continued to hang up on me. I have been a realtor since 2008 and over the years have recommended PV Movers to many clients. Naturally, for a personal move, I chose to have them handle moving the furniture only. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. Not only did it take significantly longer than it should have, furniture, walls and hardwood floors were damaged in the home we were leaving and sheetrock in the new home we moved to was damaged also in the process. It seemed as if one of the movers was very new or brand new to moving and was being trained. In good faith and because I had recommended them over the years, I paid the bill at completion, noting that there were some problems and expected that I would be taken care of. They sent a person out to make repairs, some of which were fine (sheetrock and paint), but the flooring was further damaged and just a mess. We were not getting anywhere with the handyman so I called my own flooring person and had it repaired. I advised the company that I was doing so and that I would send the repair bill once it was complete. I offered to share in a portion of the floor damage, again in good faith. The total repair was $1000 and I asked to be reimbursed $600 on 5/18/21 and to date, have not received anything NOT even a response to the original and 2 follow up emails. This is totally UNPROFESSIONAL and UNACCEPTABLE. If you choose to use the company, make sure NOT to pay if there is ANYTHING wrong at your home. The handyman they sent out was a lovely person, but not capable of handling all types of damage. I have used moving companies on 4 moves and never encountered a situation like this, hopefully you will think twice before choosing this company. read more

I should have read these reviews before using this service. The google reviews must be forged. I had a terrible experience with this moving company. I had a set time for my move to happen between 1-3pm on a Monday. After getting a call late on Sunday night asking if I wanted to move my service until 9:00, I agreed. 8:45am came around the next morning and I got a call saying that the movers cannot come at 9:00am due to an "emergency" and they had to push the time back to 1:00pm again. At 11:30 I get a call saying they arrived at my apartment. We never received any type of call ahead and we ran out the the bank so we weren't home. They then apologized for coming so soon and said they would be back at 1pm. We spent the rest of whole day waiting. We tried calling and couldn't get ahold of anyone multiple times. Finally around 3:30 we got ahold of Kim (the owner) and she was so unprofessional and rude. I have a broken antique china cabinet, shattered desk. they have too small of a truck for a normal household size & require 2 moves, we spent well over 3000 on a move that should have been under 2k. they shoved things into storage units & there response was sorry, insurance won't cover because you went in the unit to move things. For anyone looking for prompt and professional movers, I suggest you look elsewhere. I hired them to move my office space and we scheduled a Thursday afternoon for the service. When they showed up that afternoon they realized they didn't have the man power or truck needed to do the job effectively. Fortunately, we had some time and it wasn't an issue for them to come back at a later date. The owners, or whoever answers the phone in their office, told me that they could do Friday afternoon which I found delightful. On Friday, I called at 2PM and asked if they could provide any sort of ETA and they told me they would call back. At 3PM I called back to check in, thinking they may have forgotten to call me back. I then spoke to Kim, who answered with quite a rude disposition. Kim proceeded to tell me that they could not get the job today and that I could call someone else if that was a problem. Although I had a nice experience moving out of my home into a temporary apartment, my experience moving from the temporary apartment into my home was different. When I moved out of my home, I had to move everything into 2 pods for storage plus their moving truck to go to the apartment and unload. That cost $710. Essentially half of my possessions went to the apartment. However, the cost just to move out of the apartment into the permanent home -- which should have taken much less time, was $1100. Same hourly rate. The driver drove the truck with all my possessions in it to DMV because he had to get a tag renewed after he left he apartment and before he went to unload at the house. When I argued with the company about why I was charged for their guy to go to DMV, they defended their driver and the charge. read more

I have moved with PV movers 3 or 4 times. I was completely satisfied with the moves. The last time I moved was the most awful experience. The movers did arrive a little late. There were 2, one was experienced and the other had just started. I was a little leary with not having two experienced people. Well, the new guy was not as swift as the experienced. Everytime one of the guys took a smoke break the other took a break too. They didn't have enough water so I offered them. The move took far longer than anticipated. I had to ask them several times to get moving. They were just standing around. The new guy had a tooth ache and it started hurting him and he didn't bring any medicine so that really slowed him down. He also got bit by a bee, and didn't have a first aid kit on the truck. At the end, it was basically one guy doing the whole move. Then it was time to fold all the blankets etc. Well they charge you to the very end after everthing is put back. Then again, it was only one guy doing that and it really took a long time. No apologies, no discounts do to the tremendous time frame it took. So much down time that it could've been done in half the time. Plus, at the end they just placed the furniture where they thought it should go and didnt unwrap all the wrappings. They didn't ask me if that was ok and just left it. I was complete and utterly disgusted. I will never use PV movers again. I would alwasy recommend them, but no more. If there was a negative rating, that is what I would give them. read more

Disappointed. I used Ponte Vedra movers in the past without any complaints. My last move was pretty awful. They would only offer me an hourly rate and the two movers I had were slower than molasses. One was busy yakking with his girlfriend on the phone while the other was just slow and lazy. They made sure my move, which should have taken a couple of hours, stretched into 5.
