Following my initial post, I got a call from the owner. Seems like it was an honest mixup super nice guys., hope they get the front end straightened out. Disorganized and Unresponsive Initially, my experience with Poo the Rescue started off well. They were quick to respond--within a couple of hours--and scheduled my service for the following week. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. This is a prepaid service, but they don't bill until the day before. When there was an issue with my invoice, they were slow to respond and only communicated via text, despite my calls and emails. The invoice they sent was incorrect, which I pointed out multiple times, yet they failed to correct it in a timely manner. Then, they simply didn't show up on the scheduled day--without any notice. When I followed up, they blamed it on my lack of prepayment, but the reason I hadn't paid was that they had billed me incorrectly (almost double with the wrong service times and incorrect number of dogs). Even after I repeatedly tried to resolve the issue, they failed to acknowledge their mistake and never reached out by phone to clarify. Their response was essentially that all necessary information was in the welcome email and quote--but it wasn't. While they were friendly enough, the entire process was disorganized and frustrating. A business that requires prepayment should ensure their billing system is accurate and responsive, and at the very least, communicate with customers when they fail to provide the scheduled service. Would not recommend unless they seriously improve their customer service and internal processes. read more

They are great! Let's be honest, no one likes to pick up poop... and it's Houston so it's hot as heck. They text you when they arrive, do what they have to do, and lock up when they are done! I have been very pleased so far! I just started with them this month but the service has been very good. I love having dogs but hate picking up the mess and my husband doesn't have the time to do it. The technician always lets me know when he is arriving and sends a pic of the closed gate when he is finished. The price is very reasonable. I love being able to go in my backyard again. read more

What a wonderful family owned and customer service oriented company! We have used other services and no one comes close to Poo the Rescue! Brian is the nicest person and all of his staff are incredibly professional, efficient and detail oriented. They LOVE our pups, and they are excited to see the crew each week. Not only are they the best at keeping our yard "poo" free, they also brought significant issues to our attention. One of our gates to the backyard wasn't closing properly. I had no idea, and Brian rang my doorbell to tell me about it. He was concerned our curious pups could get out! He also let me know our fence was tilting after a serious windstorm. Now that we have kids, for lack of time, I do let the dogs out back for convenience.  Sometimes, you just can't get out whenever you want and since I've redone my backyard, I have not cleaned up pet waste. Now that the little man is wanting to go out back, I knew I had to and man I was not looking forward to cleaning up back there...so I did some research and called Poo the Rescue and man this guy is great!  The owner's name is Brian and he's so helpful and when his technician missed a few poops, he personally came out and combed through the backyard himself.  Super nice, super great service and I definitely recommend them! read more

Fantastic company, owner, and services. Used them for quite a while to pick up after my two dogs and they always did a great job. The techs who come to pick up always text me when they are on the way and leave a hanger on my door to let me know they got it all done too. Brian, the owner is amazing too and has even come to pick up himself when his tech was out or they just needed help. Thanks to Poo the Rescue, our backyard is pleasant to be in again. They arrive weekly on time, pick up our dog's droppings, then take the mess away with them. Others in my neighborhood recommended Poo the Rescue and stressed that this company is the only one that actually takes away the poo and doesn't leave it behind in bags to stink up the garbage cans. That is a huge benefit! I've never had a problem with the gate being left open. In fact, he will ring the doorbell if the gate is already open to make sure everything is okay. He always leaves a note hanging on the back door to let me know he was there and will jot down any hazards he's noticed in the yard. I appreciate that. First review?! Brian has been scooping the turds out of my yards since January 2014! With 3 dogs, the piles can add up and let's face it - I'm lazy. He is a poop-scooping angel in bright orange disguise. I can trust him to enter my property and leave it locked upon his exit, with a note left behind that he's stopped by (not to mention there's a coupon on it if your neighbor wants a free first visit). He hauls it off so I don't have to smell it cookin' until trash day. It was a life saver for the slip-n-slide summer days! Also, he's just a ridiculously nice guy! read more

We have used Poo The Rescue for about a year now and always have been very happy with their services. They are prompt and courteous. We have been using this service for about 6 months now and I don't know what we did without them. We have two dogs, one big and one small, plus two busy kids. With the once a week service we are able to have one thorough clean up by Poo the Rescue and then the kids are able to do it on the weekend. Hiring Poo the rescue is one of the best decisions we have ever made... My husband had been using their services for a while with his German Shepard . Once we were married we were a combined house of the German and a large labradoodle. I'm a little more frugal than my husband so I cut out what I thought was "frivolous expenses" with poo the rescue being one of them. This lasted one month..... Once discovering I would be responsible for cleaning up after both dogs and it was only $16/week I realized this was not at all frivolous but in fact genius. We love poo the rescue....
