This place was an absolute gem! After many different visits to various groomers, I had about given up on finding a place that would take some care in handling my 2nd gen labradoodle's extra curly hair. Our family's schedule isn't the best at keeping his hair consistently brushed out and everywhere I've gone in the past has resorted to shaving our pooch - often to his skin and more often, leaving razor burn marks. This Pet Day spa took the time to scissor cut our pup leaving him short but soft and so very cute. What a wonderful surprise to see him come out fluffy and still "doodly" looking! We were thrilled! The store was clean and smelled nice and the owner/groomer were wonderfully kind and accommodating. The price was fair too. We will be back! read more

Brooke, our Havanese, looked so precious after her grooMing at Pooches Spa. Perfect cut that showed her best features.

They were professional and followed all of my instructions as my fur baby has specific needs with her hair. They did an ok job. My baby has been burned before on her belly and has had her hair cut unevenly from other groomers. Pooches did a rather good job. I'm very picky, so, of course, it wasn't perfect. They kept my baby for four hours. Looks like they had 10-12 clients the day we were there. The shop they have in the lobby/ office area is super cute and offers both human and pet merchandise. read more

We had a great first experience here. Everyone is very friendly. I brought in 2 Airedale Terriers which require a specific cut. The groomer was Fiona and when I called back bc one of our girls snout and cheeks were a little long, Fiona said bring her right back. When we arrived Tully was wagging her tail when she saw Fiona (a testament in itself in my book) and she went right back w her for a quick touch up. Love this place and we'll be back!! Kept my dog for hours with no potty break or water, just to unevenly shave his entire body. They even shaved his face and tail. He has been way more matted before, and a different groomer down the road has successfully dematted him without shaving him. His "cut" is uneven with knicks all over his body. He was also very shaken up and clearly did not have a good experience. Had I known they would keep my dog for almost 8 hours with no water just to give him a horrible cut, I would have happily picked him up and dematted him myself. It is not my intention to bash a small owned business. But their appointment process was not explained properly. Most dog owners would not leave their dogs all day with no water, and in whatever other conditions they keep them in while they wait. In addition, I would have never approved someone to shave my dogs face and tail. I truly wish I would've know these things before taking my dog here. We could have avoided a really bad and possible traumatic experience for him. You can read the reviews across platforms and make your own informed decision on where to take your pets. We personally will never be going be back to Pooches Day Spa. read more

I was referred to Pooches & had high hopes. Upon arrival I showed the lady upfront a photo of what I wanted. She took a quick glance at it & dismissed me. I explained that this was our first time getting a haircut & that we were nervous & just wanted a little trim. She said "yes we will just clean up her face". When I went to pick up our pup I was in tears, they did exactly what I did not want... completely butchered our dog. She did not even look like herself. It was immediately apparent that the glance at the photo I showed was completely disregarded and they took it upon themselves to do whatever they thought appropriate for our dog. Despite being completely upset that my dog had terrible, uneven haircut (and one set of her long eyelashes chopped off) I was not going to post a public review. However within 48 hours of our puppy being home we saw her itching her body a lot & discovered she had a flea infestation. It might be a complete coincidence, but she has never had fleas until visiting this groomer. I also experienced a pup that as soon as we got home was incredibly thirsty and drank two entire bowls of water which shows she was not given any water throughout her 8 hour stay. It saddens me that this was our first experience with a groomer & also that I sent them direct feedback the same day and didn't hear anything back about my unpleasant experience. read more

Been going for 2 years and they've done an excellent job grooming my dogs. Sadly when an issue occurred the owners first response was try and figure out how it might have happened not asking how my precious baby was doing until I called her on it. I'm my opinion she should have first shown empathy for my dog then asked non defensively for my help figuring out what could have happened. So my negative review is NOT about the quality of the staff and how well they groom just how my issue was handled. read more

Horrible! Worst experience ever for our dog. He was kept in a kennel for over 8 hours with no water or bath room break. When we picking him up he was dehydrated and desperately in need of a potty break. Also, the employees were not wearing masks and they lost his expensive long-lasting flea collar. We will never use them again and are warning all our friends that still go there. read more

Do not go here. Very upset with my experience. Super rude lady that works there, and my dogs were so thirsty when they got home I've never seen them drink so much. We didn't even end up getting them a bath here, picked them up after them being there for 3 hours (we were there right when they opened for an appointment) and note that these are bulldogs and we just asked for a bath, NOTHING else. Basically the easiest quickest dog you can do. No brushing and no cutting. We just wanted them to be clean. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and actually warn people to go somewhere else. read more

Nabbing an appointment is sometimes difficult around the holidays, but this small, local groomer is tops for taking care of our little buddy. I decided to start early with my current dog based on the recommendation of the owner, Angel. They have taken great care of him and he is never afraid of going in for his cut and shampoo. Because his hair grows quickly and easily mats, I keep him in a puppy cut and he goes in at least every 4-5 weeks. The staff is great and they seem to really enjoy the business they are in. I have recommended this location to many friends without hesitation. They also carry a small variety of some of the more premium dog foods like Orijen and Petcurian, as well as many high quality treats. The shop is very cute and is tucked away in the corner in a small strip center near i10 on Fair Oaks Parkway. read more

Pooches Day Spa did an absolutely excellent job grooming my standard and toy poodles. They listened to what I wanted and did exactly that! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and facility seemed very clean and calming. Will definitely be returning next time my dogs need grooming.
