I used to take Tiny to his vet to get his nails trimmed but he wouldn't let them he yelped the entire time. I would have to hold him and after ruining my clothes due to his anxiety I decided to search for a local groomer. He is still uncertain about getting his nails trimmed but is more relaxed than he was at the vets. My dog has been super sick and his butt exploded in my truck. Took him over here as a walk in and they cleaned him all up. I've gone to other groomers however Boerne grooming seems to win an award on time . Mostly other groomers close at 12:00 or 1:30 and it's annoying because we all gotta go to work. 10/10 will come again. read more

Took my year old puppy there for grooming. When he got home he wouldn't stop shaking his head. Two days later he is still shaking his head, he is jumpy, clingy, and yesterday shivered a lot, I believe he had a temperature. He looks up like he sees something, noises make him jump and look up a as well, he acts like he is scared. He will come to us like a toddler raising their hands up to you to be picked up. He has been hiding behind chairs, scared! What happened to him at your place!!?? He is an outgoing puppy that loves to play, run, go for 4-wheeler rides, squeak balls so much it can get annoying. I was very pleased with my dog and cat's haircut. I always ask for a puppy cut. When I've taken my dog to other places they always leave the face long and body buzzed like a lion. They listened to what I'm looking for and cut her perfectly they way I wanted. They are priced VERY reasonable too. Other place have you check in your dog early in the morning but don't call you til 4 for pick up. To my surprise they called me 3 hours later and said she was ready. I think all the groomers cage them after they are groomed I don't like my animal being there ALL day. To an animal a cage whether it's a pretty cage or not is still just a cage. I wasn't looking for doggie day care just grooming. I'll definitely go back. read more

Our pets have always been well taken care of here. Even when our dog was sprayed by a skunk. They took her as soon as they could and got the smell off after several treatments. Yes its not the best looking place but consider what they do and the tight space they do it in. They are also very nice people. We are satisfied customers. read more

My recent review has been removed !!! just an FYI you should accept all comments not just the perfect one.....I now have taken my dog to another groomer 3 weeks later after my terrible experience with BOERNE GROOMERS and have been told that the grooming that has been getting done on my pet is POOR AT BEST !! Ears are not cleaned, tail in full of knots, nails not clipped and VERY UNEVEN!! to say the least they are charging full price for their service and providing crappy work. You cant really tell until you get home and see days later or someone points it out to you. This groomer needs to re evaluate how they run their shop. ITS NOT QUANTITY ITS QUALITY.. ALSO KEEP IN MIND MY PET SAT IN A CAGE FOR 7.5 HOURS AT THE LAST APPOINTMENT, THAT IS CRAZY AND CRULE !!!! IM NOT HERE TO PROMOTE ANOTHER GROOMER BUT THEIR ARE OTHERS IN THE TOWN OF BOERNE !! Where do I start. I scheduled my appointment on the phone; however, it took about 7 tries to even get anyone on the phone, even though they hang around the front desk. On the day of the appointment, I arrived promptly 5 minutes before the scheduled start time and was greeted by a very dry and unfriendly lady. I attempted to explain that my dog had quirks that make him a little difficult to handle, and she promptly dismissed me and just asked me to provide her a number (which they should already have from the appointment). She took my dog over the counter, instead of coming around to get him on the side. I tried to write off the situation, but I walked out feeling very uneasy. I was called 3:30 hours after the start time and told he was done, but was not notified of any issues. When I walked in, she only indicated my dog "did not like being brushed" but did not mention any other issues. She only sharply stated the price ($38) and got my dog from a dirty kennel. My dog was visibly shaking (which he doesn't do, he warms up to strangers quickly) and was hesitating to walk. I got him from the side and walked out of the store. On the ride home, he was very shaken up, and I knew I needed to inspect closer. When I finally got to see him, I realized they had failed to clip any of his nails, his chest and ears were full of mats, his head was untouched aside from a few very bad clips, and his body was patchy at best; further, he has a very close clip near his neck witch irritation. I called to inform them of my concerns but, surprise! No answer. Will never go back. If you want a better grooming, or a grooming at all, try somewhere else. I promise you can do better. I also have no idea why the previous poster had a poor review, perhaps she has not spent enough time getting to know the wonderful people there, or witnessed how carefully they handle our sweet 14 year old Tibetan Spaniel with a damaged trachea who can't have something wrapped around its neck for fear of further damage, or how gingerly or kindly they treat him. Perhaps she has not witnessed them fuss at me for not putting my dog on a diet and pointing out to me that the dog being thinner would make his breathing easier. Perhaps the only thing she noticed was a hardworking family in a small shop working their butts off to be a good small business, doing something they love for people who love their dogs and she felt like that just wasn't enough to satisfy her. I say keep driving and leave the appointments for the rest of us that love Boerne Grooming, who love supporting our town's small business owners and who appreciate that they love my dog like I do. I wholeheartedly recommend them and absolutely will not go anywhere else. I like their small shop, I like the whole mess. I have also been taking my dogs to Boerne Grooming for Years and have NEVER thought this place was gross or dirty. The most important thing to me is my dogs and when i leave them at Boerne Grooming i know they are in good hands. Plus my dogs love the ladies. They do an outstanding job on big and small dogs.....i have went to several other pet grooming shops in the Boerne area and was always disapointed, but NOT with Boerne Grooming. If you really care about your dog i would take them to Boerne Grooming. read more

I took my schnauzer there for the first time today and my husband and I were very pleased with her haircut and their service. The wait was the normal 4hours. The only reason I'm giving it a four stars is because they do need to upgrade to a bigger place, the place is too small for them. They need room where they can put the animals in the back where when customers walk in they won't see the pets. The entrance is to small. Talking about the crates. They need to get better quality crates. Custom made ones like at the vet. I didn't really like the crates they had the dogs in. Some were just regular cheap crates, not professional at all. They've ran that business for a long time because they are really good groomers and love grooming but it's time to put some love into the actual environment of the place. But other then that we plan on taking our baby still there because like others I love their work. read more
