Thanks to Poochie Pet Spa, my dog does photo shoots with celebrities like Rico Rodriguez from "Modern Family"

I've been taking my mini poodle, Punky, here since they opened and Olivia does an amazing job. In fact, anytime I'm walking my dog in my neighborhood and see someone whose dog has a great cut, they tell me they went to Poochie Pet Spa (this just happened again yesterday with a goldendoodle!) Olivia is a kind, hardworking person who is the best groomer I've ever met. I'm bicoastal between NJ and Los Angeles and even the fanciest, most expensive groomers out there don't hold a candle to her work. Once, she even noticed an infection in my dog's tooth and encouraged me to make a vet appointment. The vet was very impressed that the groomer was able to notice this and gave me antibiotics for my doggie. Finally, it's unbelievably clean in there and smells great. There are special little touches, too, like bows in the hair that stay in for a long time! I can't recommend this place highly enough.

This isn't a mid blinking picture. Idk what they did but she can't open her eyes.

The team is incredibly warm, attentive, and truly passionate about dogs. They don't just watch your dog... they get to know them, love them, and treat them like family. Kim and her Team are rockstars. My pup used to be anxious and reserved around new people and dogs, but since coming to Doggie Shrink, I've seen a complete transformation. He's more confident, better socialized, and genuinely excited every time we pull up to the building...tail wagging, ready to play! The facility is spotless, safe, and thoughtfully designed for enrichment, fun, and relaxation. Whether it's playgroups, one-on-one attention, or quiet time when needed, they tailor the experience to each dog's personality and needs. I also love the regular updates, photos, and honest communication ...it gives me such peace of mind knowing my dog is in the best hands. Doggie Shrink isn't just a daycare/training... it's a second home for your pup. If you're looking for a place where your dog will be loved, nurtured, and genuinely understood, this is it. Five stars doesn't feel like enough! They truly go above and beyond.

She was always excited to go when we pulled up and never hesitated when they came to take her from us. We always felt completely comfortable leaving her in their care. A few weeks ago, we dropped her off on a Thursday for a 10-day stay. The following Tuesday, the owner called me to let me know that she was refusing to get up. He asked if she had recently been showing any stubbornness about going outside. He said she had eaten fine that morning but that he had noticed a decline in her energy. He told me he would keep a close eye on her and call me back with an update. About an hour later, he called again and said that her breathing appeared to be labored and that they recommended she be seen by a veterinarian. They offered to transport her to my vet, even though it was a 28-minute drive from Musbro. I called the vet to give them a heads-up, but after hearing about her symptoms, they recommended that she go straight to an emergency hospital. Once again, Musbro offered to take her wherever I wanted. I chose VEG in Nanuet because it was the closest option. The owner's daughter personally drove our girl there, gave me her personal number so I could reach her directly, kept me updated throughout the entire process, and stayed with her the whole time. Unfortunately, an emergency ultrasound revealed that she had a tumor on her spleen that had ruptured. Sadly, something like this can remain hidden until it's too late, and there was nothing that could be done. We were 14 hours away and would not have made it home in time. Knowing that she wasn't alone means more to us than I can put into words. If I couldn't be there with her at the end, I am so grateful that she had a familiar and caring face by her side. We are absolutely heartbroken to have lost our baby, but we are incredibly grateful for the love, compassion, and quick action Musbro showed our family. I am especially thankful that they recognized the change in her behavior so quickly, got her the care she needed, and helped prevent her from suffering any longer than necessary. I have always recommended Musbro to others, and I will continue to do so. I wouldn't think twice about trusting them in the future. They treated our girl like she was their own, and for that, we will always be grateful. If you are looking for someone to care for your dog when you can't be there, I cannot recommend Musbro highly enough. Knowing how they cared for our girl when we were 14 hours away is something our family will never forget.

His most recent grooming was extremely uneven, with visible clipper tracks, areas on his belly cut unevenly, and bald spots behind his front legs. I've included photos so people can judge the grooming for themselves. What was even more disappointing was how our concern was handled. My wife called to calmly explain what had happened, and rather than having a productive conversation, the owner became angry, raised her voice at my wife, said our dog was no longer welcome, and ultimately hung up on her and canceled future appointments. Why not just agree that the ball was dropped and try to make it right with a long time customer? We've spent 1000s at their business in the last 5 years. I brought our dog back in person so the owner could see the haircut. We requested a refund of the $100 grooming charge. After some initial gaslighting, She ultimately refunded 50% or $50, explaining that the bath and nail-cutting services had still been performed. I think it's fair to mention that resolution. We understand that mistakes happen. What ultimately changed our opinion of this business wasn't just a bad haircut for our dog--it was the way a longtime customer's legitimate concern was handled. Unfortunately, after this experience, we won't be returning. The disrespect shown to my wife by the owner, and the way a legitimate concern about poor service was handled, is completely unacceptable and unbecoming of a customer-facing business owner. Good luck, Kate.
