Installtion, service and primarily sales and management have been nothing but a tremendous and satisfying experience. Starting with Kaitlyn Stayrook, who sold us first hot tub, when working at the Washington, Pa location. She has been nothing short of an amazing, friendly and knowledgeable employee, always making suggestions or explanations regarding our hot tub and pool needs. The current manager at West Mifflin is Ken. He is always there when needed to answer a question or lift something heavy and does everything with a big smile (goes along with his physical stature and personality ! )I am thoroughly happy to have been able submit this honest review. read more

I did not get the salesperson's name, but he could not have been more helpful and accommodating in getting us exactly what we needed at a discount price. All of our deck and patio furniture in recent years came from Pool City and although the price tags are often a bit high, the overall quality and comfort makes it worth the price you pay. read more

I haven't received my pool liner yet or gotten it installed, so I'm hoping I don't have the same experience that some of these reviewers mentioned... BUT I must say that their service salesman David Mangan was great to work with. He was prompt and helpful, and he was willing to work with me when Pool City changed their rates and products in the 2 weeks between the original quote and when I was ready to sign up. (Wasn't stoked about that last part, which is why this is 4 not 5 stars. But company decisions aren't Dave's fault, and we were able to come to an agreement.) I'll be sure to follow up on this once the liner arrives and the service is completed. But so far I'm a happy customer. read more

We have been going here for years. The service is mediocre at the best. But this past season was something. We ordered a pool liner for the second time. We ordered in early March to provide us a quicker installation date to prevent losing any of the summer weather. Come the middle of April the contractor called me and said that she would be calling back soon to schedule an appointment. She said you need to have your pool liner available. I said the last time I had it installed the pool liner installer picked it up. She said no, you must get it yourself. I called the store and asked if it was available for pickup. He said he had to order it but they'd have it in on Saturday. I picked it up and didn't think of anything and took it home. Waited patiently for that call but May is almost over and nothing. I called Pool City for the contractors name and number. Returned a call 10 times and never called me back after I left a voicemail repeatedly. It's June 1st and still no pool liner installer. I reached out on Facebook and found a guy that did it was a secondary job. I hired him and he came out the next day. This is where the fun began, Pool City provided me the incorrect pool liner. He said you can't install this liner here. I apologized, he said order the new one and let me know when you have it. I contacted Pool City and they said is the box opened? I said no, she said if it's open we aren't accepting it, I said it's not opened. I took it back and she was a dick to me, she said you know this would have worked on your pool. I said how, it can't she said oh yeah it's universal, I said the pool liner installer said no, she said let me call them. I said good luck because they do not answer their phones, I got someone else. She said then he doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm thinking I was a new pool liner, she had the 16 year old order if for me, let me tell you they have nothing but teenage girls who spend 90% of their time chatting on their phones to their girlfriends or boyfriends, like come on Pool City, hire reliable people. After all of the non-sense, finally got the pool liner ordered. The liner is available and they call me. I arrive and 3 girls working the register and I tell her what I'm here for. The older gentleman is a REALY ASSHOLE at this point, Sir, you couldn't of ordered it here. It had to be another pool city. I said nope it's this one all because this ditzy girl who was chatting with somebody on her phone fat fingered my phone number which lead to the third degree from the little man about what he thinks he knows but doesn't know. I said I spoke to a woman but do not recall her name, as he continues to not do his job and act like a real jerk to me, she appears and said I got this, he is here to pick up his liner. I had to circle the building to pick it up. Morale of this story, Pool City sucks as an organization. Nobody knows what the hell is going on here. I've took my business to the ma and pap stores, I may pay a few bucks more but I rather help the local person compared to the chain place that has the worst customer service around. read more

The sales man was very nice. Everything after has been a NIGHTMARE. Purchased the pool in May. It was delivered in June. When they delivered it I told them we had a dumpster in the driveway and apologized. I asked them to place along the house. I mentioned this 3 times. They placed it RIGHT in front of the dumpster that was being picked up that day. I had to hand move every single bit of the pallet. Didn't hear about the install come early July. Called back for a third time and they finally came out and put it up on the 6th. When filling it up there was a seam tear due to improper cove install. They told me theyd order a new one then quit answering me. Pool city said they just have to come pick it up and theyd have the contractor call me. Still no call 3 days later. I have been fighting for over a week now to get them to come fix their mistake. Furthermore, the kids who installed it left their water bottles and trash for me to clean up. I am extremely mad that it is now the 14th and I have a half installed broken pool just sitting, with no resolution in sight. My yard is a mess and my broken pool due to them is not a priority. read more

I called and spoke to Manager Sandy three weeks ago re two white hoses that were purchased by a man I found on FB. He was not experienced in opening pools and three times the hoses came off and caused damage to the pool and filter pump. She said I could return them if they were not used. I went up two days later, spoke to Brian and he referred me back to her. He also confirmed, not the correct hoses, should have been the grey ones. I left the hoses for her to call me when she came in. I have called over five times to no avail. I am extremely frustrated. I had plans on purchasing a new pool from them, but not now. Poor customer service. Will be contacting the corporate office and may add Pool City as an additional defendant against the pool opener with no experience. Be careful of Pool City and who you hire from FB! read more

They had what I needed and they were open so that made a difference. The thing that bothered me was the manager I assume that's who he was because he just sat on the chair and never offered to assist any customers. It felt as if he was bothered that customers were in the store. read more

put a down Payment on a pool in early February. Was told the pool is in stock and would be completed install by mid to late June and that the installer would be in touch within a week for measurements. after a month of not hearing anything and me calling constantly I finally had someone come in measure. nay comes around in and I ask when the pool will be delivered.mind you this is not over the phone! Nobody ever answers a phone call or returns any message ever! I had to physically walking to the store every week for a month asking when the pool will be delivered. One day in early July it just shows up unannounced. So now I have to try to get a hold of the installer again. Because he wouldn't do anything until I had the pool so not to have a giant dug in my backyard collecting water, but I said I was first on list for installation once I received it. Two more weeks go by. Excavator comes and digs for the pool. Was told the installer would be there at the beginning of the next week. Just got a call today saying the installer can't do it and has been reassigned to some other contracting company. So who knows when this will ever be done! I don't even know if I have all the parts! I'm sure that will be the next obstacle. The saga continues. read more

Bought my pool here and the guys who installed it were awesome. I didn't think the landscaper would even be able to get in my back yard but he did and they got everything set up in may like promised. Highly recommend getting your pool here and the installation crew. read more

Bought a pool from here, put up late fall, did not start pool up until spring. purchased salt water set up with the pool. we received the chlorine set up. Upon calling and talking to manager Jack he asked how we could have made that error. We did not. Asked the correct equipment be sent, none in house, but would be ordered and said we could pick it up 7-10 days. Being 2 hours away, I asked it be shipped direct. Said he'd ship FedEx. 11 days later, nothing arrived. Called again, Jack not available. said he'd call the next day, no return call. called again, was told they were now in house, would ship to me. To be there in a couple days. We waited 4 days. Nothing! Another call only to be told nothing under my name ordered or sent. asked again for manager Jack, he's on vacation and can't be reached, asked for a fill in manager. He contacted Corporate to be told they have no correspondence regarding issue. New manager says he'd ship item UPS bacause we never use FEDEX. Item arrived in 2 days. Thank you to the fill in manager. extremely poor service from Jack. Advise to never order from this Pool City facility! read more

We bought a pool at the beginning of May. We were promised the pool would be installed mid-late June. They said we would be able to have a 4th of July party with the new pool. We are still waiting....it is now the middle of July. We are soo disappointed. If you cannot follow through on dates, at least call and let us know. If you buy a pool from Pool City, do not believe the install dates the salesmen throw at you. No one even calls to give you new updates so you can be prepared and plan. They dropped off the pool on June 5th on the side of my house and it is just sitting there. I hope all the parts are ok when they finally come to install the pool. read more

Hello, My children and I were in the store this past Saturday February 24th. Mark Davis helped us pick out the perfect pool. He explained everything in detail and I was pleasantly surprised by his knowledge and professionalism. We had looked at pools at Valley Pool and Spas and the man there was not professional and a little snarky. It was refreshing to me to have a person helping me that knew what he was talking about and that he was a nice man. I cannot wait for my installation and will enjoy this summer immensely.
