This company is lazy, they lie and cheated me out of 125 dollars. I wrote an excellent review previous, however I was mislead. I was away in Albany, NY and unable to see what was going on myself. I called pool​ daddy and he responded immediately. He sold me a bill of goods about what was wrong with my pool. I paid 75 for him to open my pool filter to clean the the leafs and clean out the canister. What he didn't know, a marked the position of the canister top with a sharpie, so I always put back together in the same configuration as when it was removed. He never opened the canister and charge me 75 dollars to do so. Then he told me there was a problem with the impeller with my pool pump. That cost me another 45 dollars for him to fix. When I confronted him about what he had to fix, he was unable to give me a legitimate answer. The only thing he did was to backwash my filter and put in more DE. Now what he didn't know is that I have a CPO from the National Pool and Spa Foundation of America. I was required to get this certification when I was one of the Engineers who worked on the pools for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. I know a lot about pools and what makes them work. If your going to own a pool, go out and get a CPO from a reputable organization. Otherwise, you'll be at the mercy of companies like this one who will charge your for services they don't perform. We were connected to this pool service through the new landscaper we had hired, it is his brother in law. Right away he is telling us that our pump is too small for the pool and it is taking him too long to clean our pool etc. Of course we had a pool service for 3 years previously that never said any of that to us. Anyway he is giving us the hard push to buy a $600 pool vacuum. Well, if I bought that, why do I need you? George ended up billing us $235 for 1 month with all kinds of special charges on it including $80 for chemicals and the pool was a mess???? Anyway, I fired him after less than 3 months. I had George of Pool Daddy set up a leak detection on my pool, it had a decent size leak that required filling everyday to stay at the recommended level. When the tech came over he checked all of the tiles around the pool and the water lines to and from pump found and fix the leak. Thank you read more

Had the misfortune of buying a coupon from Eversave for this company to clean my pool each week for 4 weeks. George the owner came to my house today and instead of looking at my pool, he immediately went to the filter recommending expensive repairs. Little did he know I had my pool and filter inspected the week before and no problems. Further more the entire filter was taken apart and cleaned. My pool was clean, but I was sincerely looking for a pool service and wanted to try them out. Here is the kicker George informed me he would provide a weekly pool service for $88 per month, but I had to provide all the chemicals. I have had several pool service companies clean my different pools over the last 20 years and have never ever had any of them ask me to provide the chemicals. After all how do you clean a pool without chemicals. IMHO George is one of the rare pool services that are looking to soak their customers with expensive unnecessary pool repairs and charge an outrageous price to brush down the pool once a week and use chemicals the customer has to purchase. STEER CLEAR THE COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!! read more

Pool daddy it's a great company I had other two companies but not everyone does unground work but pool daddy does and also for a great price. George worked with me over the phone and emails and he ended saving me from paying for a leak detection, which was great because I saved about $300. Now after that I was able to get same day service since he had a couple of guys around the area, they came and fix the issue in no time, the show me the bad pipe and they fix it within a couple hours for a really good price. I will use pool daddy again for any pool repairs, because of the great customer service and their great prices. read more

Sadly called on Monday and was told Hugo would get to my house on Wed., but couldn't give a time. I should have turned away at that point! Most businesses I work with will give a window. Well, after a few phone calls today, I was told he would be to my house at 6pm. I canceled plans I had only to have Hugo call me at 7:10pm to say he was not going to make it. I don't work with companies that conduct their business that way. Yes did he offer to come tomorrow but at this point, the trust and confidence is gone. I am really, really grateful to George and Kimberly at Pool Daddy! We are in the process of buying a house and our home inspection turned up some questions regarding the overall condition of the pool, and the equipment. We only had a day left in the 10 day inspection period to get someone to head out to the house and give the pool a good look. Pool Daddy to the rescue! Kimberley was super helpful, didn't mind that we had a short notice request and George really knows his stuff. Since we lived out of state, George met with our agent and then made a follow up call to me to walk through what he found, and even offered to teach us how to use the pool equipment once we move in to our new place. I'm looking forward to working with George after the summer swim season to do some preventative maintenance on the pool and get things in order. This company sucks! George came over (after my calling him multiple times to see when I was on the schedule), looked at my filter and pool (which was broken and green) and did not do any "diagnostic" with it- just told me that it would cost several hundred dollars in chemicals (I figured as much) and began putting in chemicals to help clear it up. He charged me 150 for this visit, charged me for a pool valve I did not need- without so much as looking at the pump. He told me he would be back in a few days to put more chlorine in and to call him if he did not call me. Well, after that visit I called someone else who came out, diagnosed the pump within 5 minutes and drained/refilled the pool for less than $600. George never "called" when he said he would- so I am so grateful I went someplace else instead of putting more money into his scam. He called a week after I got the pool done and I was happy to say I had my business done elsewhere. Not only that, but on the first visit he put a big, nasty sticker on my pool pump electric switch that I still can't get off. He is incompetent and rude. Do not use. read more

So it was really important to find a company that could clearly evaluate the problem and not only give us a quote, but give a quote that was detailed and included any contingencies. I ran across the company Pool Daddy totally by luck. I was having problems because I had had interest in another company maintaining my pool and I firmly believe they blew my pump. Meanwhile, the 3 hottest days of the summer and I have no pump for my pool. Three days in this heat can lead to a pool that looks like it's filled with lime jello. I googled pool repair companies and was introduced to Pool Daddy. I called and was in process of figuring out how to get my pool repaired and spoke with a guy name George. He arranged for his guy to come check the pump that same day, the following day George left going out of town and I started getting calls from a guy named Jay. Very calm, very friendly, very attentive to my hysteria. The next thing I know Jay has made arrangements with one of his workers to come and replace the motor in our pump. I was quoted a price and after doing some checking decided they were right there with their rates. The next day when the guy came to fix the motor he refused to replace the motor stating that within a couple weeks I'd be going threw all of this again due to age and deterioration of my Hayward. So we called Jay and he said he'd handle it and within 24 hours my pool had been up and running. It's the quietest motor it was a rebuilt one, and the cost hardly changed from day one, and the money was not an issue with myself or Jay, he just wanted me happy with my pool again, and because of Jay and the team at Pool Daddy I am. 5 stars for the Pool Daddy! The Pool Daddy started service on my pool starting in April after 2 other companies failed to fix my pool. George saved the day and my pool looked amazing after that! He and his team serviced my pool bi-weekly and always left the pool looking great. We ended up re-locating outside of Phoenix and selling our house. When inspection time came we used George for all of the repairs. He was awesome and went to the house numerous times to fix any issues the inspector had. He went above and beyond! I contacted Pool Daddy this morning with a phone call and followed up with an email. That was at 9:56 am. At 9:48 am I received a return phone call from George, wow - that was a great response time. I then explained to him that I have a play pool that I would like to have maintained and he stated that he had to see some other customers in my area and that he could either stop by before or after. I advised him that I prefer before as I had errands to run. The time we agreed on was noon. At 12:17 pm, I left a text advising of the address and asking if he was on his way. At 12:40 I still had not heard and so I called. I received a standard voice mail greeting followed by --- you cannot leave a voice mail at this number as the voice mail box is full. 2 minutes later I received a return call from George, he then advised me that the number I called does not receive text messages. I said that's fine, but you said you would meet me here at noon, it's now 12:42 and I am just now hearing from you AFTER I contacted you. You did not let me know that you would not be able to make it or that you would come later. He started arguing with me and said something about "this is a business and things happen in a business and I said I would come out there either before or after I saw my other customers"....I again tried to tell him that we agreed on the 12 pm meeting and that it's not good customer service to not contact your customer and let them know you are running late or can't make it. I advised him that I do not want to deal with someone who cannot respect that my time is also important. He then started yelling something at me that I could not understand but didn't sound friendly, I just said that is fine, I will just make a complaint against you and I hung up. I then wrote basically the same email as stated above and sent it to the company. I then came on BBB and could not find them, found some responses here on Yelp, they all started out great and towards the end...well , here we are - another horrible complaint against George. I am so glad that it came this far, I do not want to experience what the others have gone through with him. George, I really do wish you the best. But "work hard and be humble: should be a policy you adopt when you are running a business that pays your bills and is CUSTOMER SERVICE based. read more

Horrible!!! We bought a groupon for four weeks of cleaning and from the minute he arrived he was very pushy and immediately started up selling us on all these unnecessary upgrades and repairs that were absolutely unnecessary on our brand new 2 year old pool. He was rude and made me uncomfortable as a woman alone with him because he made awkward comments about using me and being a total creep. During the 4 weeks of service he was inconsistent in the days he came, which is the opposite of what he told me - he also said that or dog's would be okay but then would miss appointments claiming it was due to the dogs in the backyard. He was going to charge us $95 for a month, but we found another company that will do it for $70 a month for the same service plus the new company was upfront about not wanting the dogs in the backyard and provided a free lock for our gate so our backyard wasn't open to just anyone. After we fired him, he called me about three times, wrote my various emails and delivered a hand written letter at 6:45am on a work day morning. I felt like I was going through a bad break up in high school! I finally had to tell him he was really creeping me out and to stop contacting me. Then the jerk sent me a bill for the last week of service when we had only used the 4 weeks for which we had a groupon. Is this guy even licensed, bonded and insured? I should have checked before hiring him, but I seriously doubt it. DON'T USE HIM! read more

Great Service! I normally clean the pool myself but I have been traveling a lot these past few months so my pool (along with other things) has been neglected. To say the least, my pool looked and smelt like a swamp. I searched the web for 'pool cleaning services' in the area. To my surprise there were pages and pages of companies to choose from. I was little overwhelmed. I checked the Yelp reviews for customer testimonies to see which pool service was the best in the area at a fair price. I finally picked Pool Daddy and gave them a call. BEST DECISION I MADE! George from Pool Daddy came to take a look at my pool the following day and gave me an estimate. He was very personable and gave me a few good laughs. We scheduled another appointment to clean the pool which was done fairly quickly in my opinion (it usually takes me 3-4x as long). All-in-all, after seeing how great he did and in that amount of time, I hired him to clean my pool on a monthly basis. That takes a load off my shoulders. read more

I wish I would've read this before I went with the company he is trying to hide behind. I needed landscaping maintenance & pool services. I found Phoenix Landscaping & Pools, which on the website says they offer pool services never saying they sub contract out to his brother-in-law, George (Pool Daddy). George shows up 45 min late, looks at my pool tells me I need lots of chemicals and hopefully my filter and pump isn't broken. We just replaced the filter within the month, and the pump wasn't broken bc the jets and fountain were still working. He charged me $65 for a cleaning fee... All he did was stick his vacuum and hose in my pool and got the leaves off the bottom, not one chemical was used. This took 10 minutes, if that. He put 5 chlorine tablets in my floater & told me I had broken filter by the pump and said it would be $50. Pulled out my filter on the pump, wasn't broken of course, but he used my hose and water to clean it and charged me $30... So now I'm up to $145.... I told I would do the rest bc he seemed fishy and shady with his demeanor and constantly saying, "we'll I don't know about cost of chemicals yet I have to get from my truck, maybe, $175"!!!! ANOTHER $175 plus $145 ---No, he needed to go... I gave him cash, he gave a receipt. He charged me $150, $5 for chlorine tabs. I told him to go get 5 from that tabs I had to make even, he said no don't worry about it. I look more closely at the receipt after he left... A miscellaneous charge of $35 I can't read his handwriting, $15 for the new filter which he told me would be $50, but these two total $50. I checked, an hour after he leaves, to clean out filter by pump, the new one I just bought, he put a rock the size of my fist in the filter!!! I called both him and his brotherinlaw, & they acted like everything I was saying was outrageous and I was confused & dumb. Even sent pictures of the rock. The only thing they were willing to refund was my filter for $15. George even said he puts a rock in everyone's filter to hold it in place!! WRONG!!! So if you have used him, go check your equipment & change companies.... SCAMMER!! Both owners insisted on cash, saying they take check too, never said credit card or Paypal. (I have the texts). I cancelled Phoenix Landscaping for the next day because both owners don't care for the customers, it's about feeding their family (this what i was being told & they act like I was made of money) not giving a good trustworthy and dependable service. My pool is back crystal clear thanks to me and husband. Bought the 1,2,3 step chemicals at Lowes ($60) and day later back to normal. Never again! read more
