I recently hired ACE Pool Repair & Remodel for a pool heater installation at my home in Santa Ana,…read moreand I couldn't be happier with the experience. Alec and his team were professional, knowledgeable, and managed the entire project extremely well from start to finish. They took the time to review my equipment setup, answer questions about the gas line and heater options, and made sure everything was installed correctly. The team installed a new Jandy JXiQ 400K BTU pool heater and also addressed wiring and electrical-related issues during the project. The workmanship was clean, organized, and professional. Communication throughout the process was excellent, and the installation was completed efficiently. It's hard to find contractors who are responsive, honest, and take pride in their work, but ACE Pool Repair & Remodel delivered on all fronts. I would absolutely recommend Alec and his team to anyone looking for pool heater installation, pool equipment upgrades, or pool repair services in Santa Ana and Orange County. Thank you again for a great job!

My review is a bit mixed…read more Gil began servicing my pool in September 2019, and I continued with his service until March 2026. For most of that time, I was very happy. We had great conversations and built a good rapport, especially during the pandemic when I was working remotely and would often see him while he was servicing the pool. Unfortunately, over the last year or so, I began noticing a decline in the quality of service. Once I returned to the office and was no longer regularly observing the pool maintenance, several issues started to become apparent. I believe Gil may have hired additional help as his business grew, and the level of attention to my pool seemed to suffer as a result. Over the last several months, I noticed my pool's condition gradually deteriorating. My spa stopped working, the electrical panel door was frequently left open, the filter pump lid was occasionally loose and leaking water, and my pool cleaner sat in the same location for weeks without moving. I eventually discovered a broken Jandy valve that appeared to have been damaged for quite some time. What concerned me most was that I was never informed about any of these issues. I also found several bottles of algae-treatment chemicals discarded in a bucket in my yard. While this alone doesn't prove anything improper, it did raise concerns about whether chemical treatments were being used to mask underlying maintenance issues rather than addressing them (maybe another leading indicator to the increased annual service due to rising chemical costs). To be fair, I provided a full month's notice before ending service as a courtesy after nearly seven years as a customer. However, during that final month I began noticing algae spores developing in the pool, which further raised concerns about whether the pool was still being serviced consistently during the last couple of weeks. While the occasional price increases were noticeable, in all honesty, that wasn't my primary concern. My expectation is that routine maintenance includes identifying and communicating equipment problems before they become larger issues. In the final months, it felt more like a quick stop to remove a few leaves, throw in some chemicals, and move on, rather than the comprehensive pool service I had received for many years. I appreciate the good years of service and the personal relationship we developed, which is why this review is mixed rather than entirely negative. However, the decline in maintenance quality, lack of communication regarding equipment issues, and concerns about the consistency of service over the last few months ultimately led me to cancel after nearly seven years.

I have home warranty for a while, and not going to lie, they don't always send the best contractor to your home. William was the 2nd contractor I had come to my home to repair my pool pump. The first one First American sent refused to do the service unless I removed a wall so they could have better access. The wall itself is only 4ft tall and hid the pool pump and filter. They were trying to get out of the service by denying my pool pump, it wasn't until i called my home warranty and after many calls they agreed i needed a 2nd opinion. William was the 2nd opinion and man I wish i had gotten him first. William was straight up honest and had no issues getting around the wall the other company wanted me to remove. In fact, once he confirmed the pool motor was bad and submitted it to home warranty. He followed up with me and 4 days later my pool pump was fixed and i was up and running again. I appreciated William being straightforward with me and getting back to me in a timely manner. Definitely give him a try.

The reviews below all point to a consistent theme. William from Master Care does not even provide…read morethe homeowners the courtesy of discussing his findings and did not respond to multiple texts/calls/messages. Further his report on the "issue" for my pool pump was the pump was run dry---DUH this is a consequence of the underlying issue which is the pump failing to prime due to a vacuum leak. His erroneous report resulted in my claim being denied. It's really unfortunate that this is another dodgy pool care company making money off taking in home warranty claim $$ without being honest and spending the time to actually fix the problem. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
