Really good pool cleaning company. I used them for the last 2.5 months, and the service is been better than expected. I pay more, but my kids and family can see the difference. So for me, its money well spent. They just finished draining my pool for a very reasonable price. Initially I talk to Brian and he was friendly, informative without being pushy. Always after every cleaning, they send and email of before and after which I think should be standard in the industry with everyone having smartphones. We have a problem with pigeons using our pool as the hangout and we tried to handle getting our chemicals balanced on our own. Big mistake... within just a couple days the pool turned green (see pic). Ace Pools came out a day after I called to give me a quote to get us back on track. We ended up needing to drain the pool and do an acid wash for the staining that had happened. They were able to get it done quickly and the pool was brand new again! We also signed up for their pool service. They come out weekly to check/adjust chemicals and handle all the other pool maintenance. We are still working on getting rid of the pigeons :( but our water stays beautiful with their help and all we have to worry about is our tan lines. Totally worth the money! read more

They emailed us right after memorial day to let us know they were terminating the service due to a lack of staffing. I get that but we shouldve gotten at least a little more warning so we could better prepare. Annoyed that they waited until the start of summer to terminate, when chlorine prices and usage would be at its highest. I also noticed my pool pump basket was broken--it was perfectly fine before their service, and broken when they terminated service. Huge hassle to find a fitted replacement, but we finally found one for ~$30. Not giving 1-2 stars because they were polite before abruptly ending service and kept our pool clean. They would call us by phone to let us know of issues, and emailed pool readings + pictures of the pool each week. read more

Brian is the best! I initially sent in a request for a quote for my pool and in-ground spa and he and his team responded within 30 minutes. They helped me set up an appointment that same day. The day of my appointment he arrived on time to evaluate my pool and gave me a really great price! I've since been having my pool serviced by ACEPOOL and the technicians are very professional and always get the job done early in the day so we can spend the afternoon enjoying our pool. They even send a note that includes photos, chemical readings and summaries once the service is complete which I think is a nice touch. This is due to Pam's customer service as well as the quality of caring for our pool.  When we came back from vacation on Friday, August 7th, three hours after the pool had been cleaned, the water level had dropped six inches.  We had received no notification.  Pam stated that when the guy came out three hours prior that the water level was fine.  This was far from the case.  We filled it back up and it has stayed at the same level.  Also the pool was not clean, which has been an ongoing issue as well as the job is rushed through and not done properly.  We took pictures and submitted them to Pam in which she made every excuse in the book.  She stated that Brian (the owner) would be in the office that afternoon and we requested him to come out to look at the pool to see for himself the condition it was in.  This is not the first time we have had trouble with Pam, her customer service skills lack very much!  Two days later and we still have no follow up.   Yes, they are cheaper than most, but remember that cheap does not always mean quality! read more

They are very responsible and easy to reach out to. They respond back very quickly to emails and are very friendly and professional. Not very good. Get your pool repairs and services elsewhere. Their solution was to charge us to drain the pool, which was inaccurate advice when our water was less than a year old. Our pool turned into a yellow swamp and we couldn't use it for 2.5 weeks, yet they charged us the monthly fee anyways. They're not open on the weekends and we had a leak in our pipe and it leaked all weekend as they weren't available. The told us we need to buy salt and put it in the pool and thats why our system wasn't holding chlorine. Not sure why we need to manage our own pool and add salt when they're the professionals. We told them our spa jets weren't working and we found out that it was simply due to the filters needing to be cleaned. Very disappointing if you're needing a good pool company and advice. read more

I definitely recommend AcePool. I was having problems heating up my indoors jacuzzi for months; I hired a guy before who didn't fix anything and never replied back to my calls or messages. I called AcePool and the next day Mike was here, he told me what the problem was (the other guy broke a lid from one of the pumps and the heater was broken, so we needed a new heater). Pam was very understanding and helpful too on the phone; English is not my first language so, sometimes it's hard for me to communicate, but she was very patient and nice. Now, my jacuzzi works perfectly, I'm so happy for having called AcePool. Next time I have another problem I won't hesitate to contact them, and you shouldn't hesitate either. The price was reasonable based on what the problem was; they will send you a bid to your email and you can approve it online, also, there's a fee to check what you problem is and what needs to be done to fix it, thus that fee will be a credit that you can use if you hire their service. read more

Please be aware that when hiring this company, they are passing their services onto a brand new company, Tiger Shark Pool Service, who are not in any way as knowledgeable and competent as Brian from Ace Pools. Brian has the great reviews, not Tiger Shark Pool Service. Brian had mentioned something about this other company when we signed on with him but we were under the impression that they worked together, not hire Ace Pools for their reputation but then get Tiger Shark Pool Services with no reputation. We had a less than par experience with the other company. They couldn't even take care of our front water feature. Week after week it looked like a pond. After a little over a month of having constant issues, we have signed on with a new company. Do your research!! BUYER BEWARE! I asked for a quote for my pool and hot tub and was given a quote by the owner in writing. Fast forward 4 months it turns out my hot tub had never been serviced or cleaned. When I emailed the owner he told me there was a misunderstanding and they don't service above ground hot tubs. Umm really? Well why did you say you would? I immediately stopped service and ask for my money back since I didn't finish the month and have yet to receive it. They did not honor their agreement and did not offer me a refund. Shady business! In response to the "Business Managers" response below to my wife Tara's review - not once did they reach out to us to advise of a low water level. That is a straight lie. We provided a copy of the email sent below - nothing is on there regarding the water level and we never received a call. We had to reach out to them. When we got home, we turned on the hose and the automatic filler that was off, it filled right up, no issues and is still fine. Yes, they send a pic of the pool, but it's impossible to see the actual water level. We arrive home three hours after they had serviced our pool. It was dirty, low and had an extra chlorine basket in there. We contacted the office around 1pm Friday afternoon. Pam stated the owner would be in that afternoon and she would discuss the issue with him. Before Pam was employed by AcePool we never had an issue. The owner Brian was great and would come right out if there was an issue. So who knows if he even knows what is going on. Again, with an issue like this (which we have noted the pool has not been properly cleaned in the past) we invited the owner out to look for himself. We are not going to leave our pool in that condition for days waiting for follow up that never even happened. read more

After failing to find a company to service my pool for almost a month, got on yelp and did a search because while the dragonfly's that were visiting my swamp were pretty, the actual swamp was not. Sent a few messages to various companies and within minutes Kyle from Acepool replied. Quickly asked what the problem was and gave me a quote. Told him I'd get back to him (I was gonna shop around) and after speaking with a total of 5 companies, which took me close to 5 hours to do, I messaged Kyle back to ask when he was available. I expected an increase, as most businesses would, and instead he offered a 5% DISCOUNT if I could wait a day (or pay cash or something or other). Showed up exactly when he said he would, got right to work clearing the debris, and was honest and told me if I had contacted him a week or 2 earlier he wouldn't have needed to drain the swamp, something the other pool company told me, at every weekly cleaning, that I absolutely needed to do. Water was not "old" like I was lead to believe, just had no conditioner or chlorine. Kyle took the time to explain my equipment, how things work, and what I can do to keep my pool sparkling for years to come. He did not tell me to cut all of my plants down, like many others have suggested, and even complimented me on the vegetation (Hawaii Boy, I need SOME greenery in this desert). I'd post the price I was quoted for the drain, acid wash, checking few cracks (superficial), and conditioning & priming, as well as what my new monthly pool cleaning bill (less than 2 others I've had over the past 3 years) is...but you should check them out yourself and experience what customer service really is. My daughter found Ace Pool on Yelp, for me--lucky me! Can't get any better than Kyle--and I've been through dozens and dozens of flaky companies since 1976 (5 houses w/pools). Kyle immediately came out and assessed a very yellow pool, stemming from the previous company who scrimped on chemicals, didn't brush, didn't clean filters etc. Kyle took the bull by the horns, and in 3 days flat--it was drained, acid-washed, scrubbed and refilled. Beautiful! Ace Pools now does my weekly maintenance (even does regular filter care--imagine that!). Started using this guy and he did install a new motor on my broken pool pump for a good price. 8 months down the road, after my line was blocked for the vacuum (which he stated the tech could not clear) my pool motor AND pump burned out. Thing is, I had asked for him to send a tech over the week prior and had him do an extra service. I came over to check and no tech, and my basket was over full and smoking. This had been happening, id notice that after a service it seemed like no one emptied the basket, which i think they should do? I informed him of this, and later I discovered my line was blocked. I had another company come over, and they were able to clear the line. So i kept using them. I finished out the month of services I had paid for and yesterday, the 30th, let him know we no longer needed his services. Later on same day I now see a huge charge on my card, which I am paid up! 180 dollars?! Pay for my broken pump, I shouldn't have to replace a pool pump 2x in a year, when over 10 years the first one worked. Go with someone who will listen, help, and not try and argue with you every step of the way. Follow up: Communicated with him, he says I'm a case of unrealistic expectations, actual message: And so you're telling me it's unrealistic for me to expect my pool baskets to be emptied? Is it unrealistic of me to expect for you guys to charge the card that I have on file during the month I'm expecting those charges? Is it unrealistic to expect you to charge the amount that you promised rather than inflating it for undisclosed reasons and for you to not communicate to me what I'm being charged for? We have used Ace Pool at 2 different properties. Once for just acid wash and the other for regular weekly pool service. We originally tried a super cheap service that hardly ever showed up and always had different service guys that seemed like they were new. The guys from Ace Pool were knowledgeable and knew what to do to adjust chlorine levels and ph as well as did a better job of getting the palm leaves off the bottom of my pool that the other guys sometimes ignored. read more
