We started the project in May 2025 and were told 6-8weeks to completion. The team is very nice and…read moreresponds to calls, UNTIL YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT!!! After 7 MONTHS of calls, texts, emails (everything but a smoke signal) we are close to completion, yet not because they finished the job we paid for or they finished what's in the contract...it's because I am COMPLETELY over it and need to regain my sanity and wake from this nightmare! The entire staff tries to make the homeowner feel as if the problems including scheduling workers who may or may not show, never have proper equipment...and those who do show complain the entire time about the company (did I mention I know Spanish...yup, ai knew what they were saying the entire time)!. I have never seen so many people have nothing but horrible things to say about the day to day operations of the company they work for and pretend its "normal", but I digress. Here's the nightmare we've endured in a nutshell (only allowed 5k characters): *Recieved permit to start in May 2025, notified everyone working on our project in writing that HOA does not allow machinery that causes noise to start before 9AM. The company agreed to abide by this rule, yet violated repeatedly with the owner saying, " in 20 years of business, I have never heard of that"...yet it's in writing! * We were told the site would be cleaned daily...LIES...we even had to go so far as to remove our garbage/recycle cans because the workers would throw open containers of food in them and even use the bathrooms in them..ugh! I cleaned the work site/filed numerous complaints daily ...until they just stopped answering the phones all together! Again, I guess that's my fault too! * Once they actually started to install the pebbling (months later might I add) a team of workers showed up at 6:35 AM with miner hats for lighting drilling with large machinery causing LOTS of noise...waking every neighbor and giftingus another HOA violation...when I finally got the company to respond, they acted as if we were the problem, I repeatedly reminded them that the HOA has very strict rules and they continued to violate at leisure...it became so problematic that I moved my entire office into the kitchen (where I could view our driveway and backyard) so I could stop anyone from coming on our property before the appropriate time. * Most of the workers (outside of those who used our cans for toilets, even though I allowed them inside my home to use our bathrooms) were very kind and respectful, however, Roni is the most incompetent I've ever encountered...I ended up paying an entirely different company to fix all of the poorly laid turf, he actually had the nerve to put rusted nails in the green turf...and before you ask...yes, we ended up consulting our lawyer who pretty much told us suing them would cost us more than hiring a better company to fix the issues...what's the point of wasting more money, right? * They waited until after telling us we would be swimming in August to let us know they needed to dig up our ENTIRE BACKYARD to lay electric and gas lines for the spa...WTF!? I guess they forgot we had a spa that wasn't connected to anything until I asked where do you cut it on??? After weeks of calling and finally getting the lines buried...we were then told..." you need to call the gas company and get a larger meter...it may take a little while longer"...Newsflash...it can take up to 8 weeks! They knew all along a larger meter was needed and never said a word. *They rigged a wire to keep the pump going to our home which could have caused a fire at any minute yet they told us it needs to remain on 24 hours to keep from "destroying" the pool...sent a kid to power wash the red clay permanently stained on our new home only to have the power washer motor quit on him...poor kid was outside almost 8 hours using our water to rinse off the clay, because there was no power in the machine...at least he tried, but of course, my painters let me know the house should have been protected with a screen...when I mentioned this at the beginning of the project, Shawn said he would take care of any discoloration to our home...even insisted he would... only to later tell us "that red clay won't come off"...so you guessed it...we have to pay to have the entire back side of our home restored! I could go on and on, but I will just say...you have been warned my friend and I'm not even sure how I fell for this one, but I have learned an extremely costly lesson...don't ignore the red flags...and get everything they say to you in writing up front...as I write this I am now having to complete the final inspection that we were told by the owner from the beginning they would be doing (surprised?) and now I have to buy the alarms for 12, yes 12 windows for yet another action item they omitted in this ridiculously lengthy project...maybe they meant we would be swimming by AUGUST 2026..LOL...gotta laugh to keep your sanity!

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND…read more Sundial Pools is unprofessional, abusive, manipulative, indignant and negligent. Buyer beware. I waited a year for Shawn Kelley to do his job. He was friendly and communicative until I signed the contract in May 2023. Then he went cold. I had the retaining wall done in July. Seems we had a misunderstanding about who should do the dirt backfill but he agreed and didn't show up to do it till end of September. (I thought I'd be swimming by August.) During that time he only resisted my pleas and gave excuses for delays. He didn't order my pool till November. Didn't install it till December. Gave more excuses and resistance all along the way. Never put chemicals in it. He didn't get the concrete guys to show up till March 2024. Deck permit had been missed and he never produced the design the city requested. Denied responsibility. He didn't get the electrician to show up till April. By the time the permit was approved in May 2024 (because I submitted the design myself, now an entire year after I signed the contract), he was resisting and making excuses for the concrete guys again: "two weeks out, another two weeks out, later this week, coming next week, I don't control their schedule," etc, etc, etc. So I gave up after a year of abuse and neglect. My pool took seven months to appear and had been sitting in a dirt lot for another five months waiting for him to finish. He gaslighted me all along the way, as if I was the problem for complaining. Never apologized, never acknowledged what he put me through. Repeatedly declared he was not the general contractor for my project so he was not responsible. (I didn't think I needed a GC since I'd hired a pool builder. Now I wish I had a GC to bully him back.) It was a nightmare. Surely he will respond to this review in kind because bullying, blaming and abusing me, and lying and making excuses for not doing his job is just what he does. There is no world in which taking a year to not be finished with a fiberglass pool project is acceptable. Actually it's inhumane. Do not do business with him.
