I remember…read moremeeting Derek for the first time and came away from that first meeting feeling so much more comfortable about allowing my dog to be with a complete stranger. Derek is no longer a stranger but now a friend. Derek has been such a blessing for me and my dog Oliver. Derek is professional, flexible, observant, patient and extremely reliable. Derek has not only walked my dog but also helped my dog with training and socialization. When Derek hasn't been able to walk Oliver he has helped by contacting one of his colleagues to walk my pup. He even arranged to meet his fellow colleague to give them my key. I also have been in a pinch and needed help with boarding. Derek offered to watch my dog over a weekend while I went away. He even took him to the beach. He texted with check ins and also sent pictures which reassured me while I was away. I can't thank Derek enough for what he has done for Oliver and I. Our dog, Shaka, just loved spending time with her and the other pups she cared for. We were a little worried at first about his temperament being around others (humans and other animals) since he gets a little skittish, but he seemed to thrive there. When it was pick-up time, he was always happy and seemed to sleep very well from getting his exercise and socialize in. (He also smelled great on his longer stays. Thank you for the baths!) Jen is super flexible and communicative. We were so appreciative of this since we tend be rather spontaneous and would ask to drop him off the day before sometimes. We also would extend his stay last minute, for example, when we were taking road trips and wanted to stop for the night instead of driving all the way through a town. (Sorry and thank you so much, Jen!) Shaka has stayed over from one day to two weeks (possibly more), and each time, we've received text updates from her and even pictures of him happy with his friends. I always looked forward to those. Shaka passed away early last year, and I've been meaning to write this for a long time to say, "Thank you, Jen!" for being such a wonderful caregiver and trustworthy and friendly person overall. He was very polite and patient and somehow he got these two guys to comply. I contacted other groomers within the area, but none of those places ever responded back to me through the email, which was very disappointing. But I'm so glad that Woofie came through for us. They were very courteous and responsive to me through Yelp chat, and all the questions I had were answered very promptly. I'm so happy with the results and our dogs look so clean and proper now.
