Let's face it, calling Pop-a-Lock is nothing you "want" to do. It's so nice to be able to when you need to, though. For the first time (in a long time, thankfully!) I locked my keys in my car. Ugh. My phone, my coat, everything! I was meeting a friend for cross country skiing. Thankfully! He called for me and the van was there in 15 minutes. It took less than that to unlock the car. But. I am SO impressed! I bought a new-to-me Toyota 4Runner LTD today and the dealer only had one key/fob for it. My salesperson highly recommended Pop A Lock, and said it would be much less expensive than having the dealer make another key. David arrived even faster than he had expected and explained everything he was doing, and showed me so many things about locking and unlocking the doors in ways that the dealer hadn't mentioned. I can hardly put into words how impressed I am with Pop-A-Lock! Somehow my office managed to misplace BOTH keys for our delivery truck. Called PAL yesterday to get an estimate etc. They told me they could come the following morning and make 2 new keys on the spot. And for FAR less money than the dealership wanted, not to mention with far less hassle (I.e. having to have the truck towed to the dealership). Helped me with what we thought was a frozen lock on a U-Haul locker. Arrived on time and quickly saw that the problem was the U-Haul locker door, not the lock. He used a couple of screwdrivers to prop up the sagging door and then the lock worked fine! First review I've ever written on here, because Tyson was that good. We had been moving all day long, and were plain exhausted by the time we got to the storage unit, well after dark. While shuffling things around in my trunk I set my keys down and mistakenly locked us out of the car. I called AAA, was on the phone for at most 5 minutes, and Tyson was there in less than 20 after that. It turns out that the 2007 Volvo s60 has a fatal flaw: if a dummy like me locks their keys in the trunk getting them out of there is a real pain in the neck! Tyson popped our door easily enough, but when we couldn't get into the trunk from the cabin he stuck with us and tried absolutely everything. Finally, after running through just about every tool in the truck he was able to reach the emergency lever which is really, really terribly placed on this model of car. I'll be forever appreciative that he helped us out. It would have been very easy to just open the driver's side door and leave us on our own in the middle of the night, but he truly wanted to help us out no matter what it took, which goes a long way for me. 5 star guy and company. read more

I had the nicest guy unlock my car for me, he was great at communicating how long it would take to get to my location and his estimation was spot on. He even called when he left his current location to come to my location. It took him under a minute to unlock my car and he was so friendly and kind despite having some not so mice interactions with other people that day. I highly highly recommend this company! read more

When I called today they were super nice, explained that for the car I needed a key made was only able to be done at the Volvo Dealer. UNLIKE Steven at www.melocksmith.com who is a liar and a terrible person!! He led me on for over a week, lying and saying he had already received our key and was just too busy to schedule. He had NO desire or way of helping us, but lied for days, and then just stopped answering his phone until we called from a another number. Why, I have NO idea. I couldn't be more pleased! I have an old car whose driver side door wouldn't unlock. I'd had the door panel removed and unlocked by another company, but as soon as I locked it again, the trouble was back. The Pop-A-Lock serviceman arrived right on time (a few minutes early, in fact), determined the problem within minutes, and fixed it on the spot - at the minimum charge. Wow great service from David and Kirk to get my car ignition changed and new keys. After 12 years my well loved and and hopefully many years left on it vehicle key would not turn anymore. I called and was quoted the price for my cars new igniton and labor and was pleased compared to the quote the dealer had given. They were able to get to my home in a few hours of when I requested the work. Efficient and wonderful service. They even asked if I was a car service member and was able to use my AAA benefit which was fantastic. Would recommend Kirk and David for service anytime. I was out of town, lost my car key on Memorial Day and called the same day to get a replacement key. Kirk was polite and friendly and said he could get me a new key made that same day. He drove about an hour to get to me. I had called several locksmiths closer to my area, but either got no answer or was told they wouldn't be able to get me a new key until the next day. Kirk arrived in a professional Pop-A-Lock van, asked me for ID, then provided me with two new replacement keys. He had me double check that they worked on the trunk, doors, and ignition. I was able to pay with a debit card on site. I paid less than I had expected, especially for a call-out on a holiday. Pop-A-Lock will be my first call next time. read more

Called on a Saturday night at 9:30 pm as they advertise 24/7 service. I am a local petsitter and suddenly the key to my clients house did not work anymore. I was contracted to care for a dog with a seizure disorder that needed meds. this service was one of five I called that night (I did not receive a call back from any). Called the Police who could not help and finally the Fire Department helped Sunday morning. Do not advertise what you can not or are not willing to deliver for a service.
