We also decided to do an evaluation at my child's school which was easily scheduled. My child's teachers noted how great Erica was- they were also impressed. It has probably been about half a year now, and we have seen so much progress in his language development. Our son looks forward to his speech sessions and has fun while learning. I love receiving the detailed summary after each session, as well as helpful / relevant assignments that we can print out and work with at home. Erica is engaging, patient, friendly and professional. The activities continue to evolve as our son's language develops, and it's clear that the plan is individualized and personalized to his specific needs. As you know, there is no "one-size-fits-all" plan for these kind of things. We could not be any happier with Lakeview Speech and Language Clinic. Dana is so incredible at her job. My son went twice a week for four weeks and LOVED working with her - she made all the sessions so enjoyable for him. He made so much progress. She helped our baby over a handful of appointments (~2 months, every couple weeks) to tackle torticolis, which was so successful that we were able to avoid having to do any baby helmet treatment (usually ~$2000 because it's typically not covered by insurance since it's considered cosmetic). Our baby had a flat spot on the side of her head early on, so with the recommendation by her pediatrician we went for a helmet consultation relatively early around 3 months. They said treatment couldn't start until baby had sufficient neck control and the treatment would likely need to be combined with PT. To get ahead and because we really didn't want to do the helmet if possible, we pursued PT as soon as we could. It was impossible to find anyone in our insurance network and everyone we looked into had rates that were about the same. My own PT for postpartum recovery and other locals highly recommended Kids on the Grow, so we went with them! They also came to our place for all of the appointments, which was extremely helpful as sleep deprived first time parents. With baby PT you need to be involved and do "homework" with your baby in between appointments, but they make it really fun and it's wonderful to see the progress!! Initially we did have some issues contacting their office because they didn't get any of our emails or phone calls. My own PT had to help connect us via email. Otherwise, once we got a hold of them the staff who we also communicated with were very good. All paperwork was done digitally, which was super convenient.

To be clear of my experience: Therapist was outstanding…read more Reason behind my rating: When I had originally enrolled my son to work with this facility my first and most important request was that he would have the ability to work with the same therapist. In receiving services with cps there was a lot inconsistency with services and the therapist was changing frequently. So naturally I thought that if we paid for private services this problem can be avoided. So I searched for a private practice . I was assured that the request for having my child consistently work with the same therapist would be fulfilled. Those assurances gave me peace of mind and with that we enroll our child. Now I'm being informed that my child will no longer be able to work with the same therapist due to policy change. I asked what the out of pocket expense would be to keep my son with the same therapist and was informed that "regrettably" that wasn't an option. Again I re-iterated to the facility prior to enrollment the importance it was for me to have 1 instructor work with my child. And now (a few short months later) my family and I can no longer be accommodated.

I'm a firm believer that work shouldn't be painful for people but when you're at the point that you act like patients are an inconvenience to you while you're at work, we have a problem. The physical therapist was fine but the front desk people ruined the experience and made me decide to try somewhere else.
