Back to table service! Yay!!!…read more Attractive and very clean restaurant with great service. Truly delicious Mexican food. I love pozole - Cc's rendition is top notch and comes with all the extras to put in the soup including avocado, chopped onion, a whole fried tortilla to break up into the broth and Mexican oregano (the small is more than enough for one hungry person or to share with two).Homemade chips come with a four salsa selection ranging substantially hot to a delicate tomatillo green. I tried my tablemate's tacos, all three varieties were very very good. I've had takeout from here, but it's really worth going in person because the food is nuanced and best when piping hot as it's made.

I just had a terrible experience at Corazon cocina…read more I ordered 3 tacos and was told it was $32.19 gave card and paid. Upon paying the screen says $33.07. I asked what the difference was for. Cashier says "taxes." I asked for a receipt and the receipt says .88 surcharge. Cashier then states "you complaining about 88 cents man?" Then he doesnt know how to give 88 cents back. He then starts to state something about something wrong with my credit card and pulls up a previous person's receipt. This other receipts clearly states "debit" card but still he doesnt understand and says my credit card has issues and to call my company. So the lady next to him hands me a $1 and says "here for the 88 cents" and ignores me. No salsa offered for my food.

Los Agaves On De Lavina St. -- A Rare Review from Someone Who Hates Writing Reviews…read moreI spent 25 years owning a business. I know what good service looks like, and I know what entitled looks like. I never write reviews -- I watched Yelp destroy good people over bad nights, and I swore I'd stay out of it. Tonight changed that. I sat at the bar. It took the bartender over five minutes to acknowledge I existed. Another five to ten to deliver a Coke. I ordered dinner and waited forty minutes -- which I might have forgiven, except getting his attention was nearly impossible the entire night. No eye contact. Body language that made clear I was an inconvenience, not a guest. Every interaction felt like I was interrupting something more important. When I finally got him to check on my order, he went to the computer and discovered he'd never placed it. I walked out. I noticed the people around me weren't faring much better. The slowness wasn't just my experience -- it was the room. Los Agaves appears to be a popular place, and maybe on another night with another bartender it earns that reputation. But entitlement has a way of spreading when nobody checks it. I hope management is paying attention -- because a beautiful restaurant dies one invisible guest at a time.

Perhaps the best Mexican food in Santa Barbara when considering over all meal options. Amazing…read moreselection from the mouth watering tacos to the wickedly delicious Red Chicken Mole. Their Chicken soup is my go to when it's cold or someone is sick. The truck is to make sure you add a couple squeezes of lime slices in the soup. Not only delicious but a natural cure all. Another highlight that cannot be overlooked.... One of the best selections of Agua frescas in town. You're basically looking at 3 different options that are all delicious. I really can't pick a favorite, I'm just saying you gotta try one. The only thing that can be tricky is the parking. Be patient and try not to cross Milpas unless you're using a lighted crosswalk. Get in there and grab yourself some of the best Mexican food Santa Barbara has to offer. . Id add an extra Star if I could! .. There .

Tacos Pipeye makes a hefty burrito filled with basically whatever meat you can think of. I got the carnitas this time -- a tried and true favorite -- but next time I find myself in the area I'll have to try the pork belly burrito. Two friends also ordered the steak and barbacoa burritos and both also looked divine. Service was super quick and super friendly as well, they've got it down to a science at Tacos Pipeye.
