I was worried about ordering from this location based on all of the bad reviews here. I'm not doubting them, but I have to say that whoever was working the lunch shift on June 25, 2026 knocked it out of the park. I placed a mobile order for pickup. The food was ready when I got there, but was still hot, so hadn't been sitting around. Everything was correct, even down to the dipping sauce. Biscuit was the best I've ever had at any Popeyes. Restaurant was clean. Employees were busy but friendly. No complaints at all. Really nice job. I don't post a lot of reviews, but felt I should here as the majority haven't had the same good luck. This Popeyes has to be the worst place I've ever gone to wouldn't even wish this on my worst enemy, Came in today around 9:48 to get the new one piece meal. Was super excited waited hours to make money to get it. Ordered online and got the regular luffy bento box. With obviously a side of Mac and cheese and the gum gum FROZEN lemonade. Picked up my order first thing I noticed is my frozen lemonade isn't frozen and it's just a regular gum gum lemonade. Figured ukw. It's just a drink. I live 3 minutes down the road and wasn't gonna be mad over it. I went home got all comfy turned on my show and opened my bag. No box. No Mac and cheese. Worst fast food experience I've ever had. This was my first time trying Popeyes, I sat in the drive thru line for roughly 20-25 minutes with only a couple cars in front of me, the cashier acted like he was on something. I had to repeat my order back to him 6 times, while he's flirting & cracking jokes instead of prioritizing me placing an offer. I paid $20 for a 2 pc chicken & a couple sides. I only got my chicken & mashed potatoes. Waited forever in the drive thru line again, acted surprised & asked if he rung me up for that! Are you kidding me? Yes you did! Then I waited AN HOUR. FOR A BISCUIT, FRIED PICKLES, AND MAC N CHEESE!! Didn't offer a refund or anything, just sorry we're busy. This was the most ghetto & outrageous service. Not to mention the food was absolutely disgusting. It all had a weird funk to it. While I was waiting in the parking lot for them to fix my order like they requested, an employee was out front smoking a cigarette yelling at another customer! I have had Popeyes previously while travelling and always liked every meal. Recently, stopped in at Popeyes on S. Arlington Road in Akron Ohio to try the newly advertised, chicken wrap. The wrap was not on the menu board, I was not asked what kind of wrap I wanted nor given the opportunity to ask when ordering. At the window when paying, I said I wanted the spicy wrap. Well, the unprofessional banter among employees started (all quite audible to my ears). I heard "she's going to have to wait!" I was asked to pull up to the yellow lined area, where I sat patiently for 20 minutes. With no cars approaching the window, I put the car in reverse and back to the window where I was advised, that I was not forgotten and that my order would be up soon (the wrap) and to pull back up to the yellow line space. I said "No, I will wait here" and again the rhetoric and employee saying "she said no". I wait and then am handed a bag with a cold item (?). Nonetheless, I looked at the food to see if it was tampered with and decided not to even try it and tossed it. I reported to popeyes who offered me a $5.00 coupon and you can read my response below. Such a disappointment as I like Popeye's food, unfortunately, this location is a no go in the future. SMH POPEYES, (Jessica) If I were given a receipt, I would provide a receipt! I watched numerous vehicles ahead of me be handed back just a card. I looked in the bag for a receipt before tossing to see if the location had an order number on the receipt and there was no receipt provided. Offering me a $5.00 coupon implies that I will return to Popeyes and that is an incorrect assumption. I have shared my experience with my colleagues and will continue to let others know of the unprofessional demeanor of the staff and of the poor treatment. I remained gracious and thankful, other than declining to go back to the yellow line and wait longer. I patiently waited 25 minutes for items I paid for to watch car after car be handed bags of food. There is a positive note that this location actually has customers. There is not any excuse that covers such blatant retaliation as was noted in the conversation of the staff through the window. I understand that this may be a franchise, but it is a franchise location that no one that I speak to will patronize. And with regard to start working with the restaurant management team for them to investigate the events I described in the email to be addressed immediately; one can only hope that you have the leverage to change the culture. The factuality of the statement in itself is patronizing. I can with certainty state that it was an egregious error and beyond the email notification to Popeyes, I will indeed follow up with the Summit County Health department on the state of the food given to me as well as notify all persons, I come in contact with the facts of the occurrence I experienced at the Popeyes on S. I was told that they would bring the orders out but then the employee came out to my car to tell me to come inside to pick up the orders. I had looked forward to being able to give a good review to this Popeye's once I saw that the lobby was open. 1. The lobby was only open while a supply truck that was dropping off was blocking the drive through. 2. The lobby being closed is the crux of the issues It's not merely that the usual experience with the drive through is that it backs up unrealistically, one can make a choice considering that before going there... it is that the store's culture is seemingly anti customer. While I was in there today I was told "I don't got nothin' for you. I don't got to do nothin' for you" a few times (I was picking up a prepaid callin order) by one employee who seemed to be assembling the orders. She also repeated "just wait. That truck be gone and then you all get out." That's not what earned the one star rating however: I walked in and the employees were giggling about something. "You see? He comin' back in now." They were laughing about an old man. He came in and asked them "what else do you have as far as chicken?" He was answered "what do you mean? We have pieces, tenders, and sandwiches." He ordered 3sandwiches, one plain, and paid. He was told a few minutes later that there would be a 7 minute wait. He went outside and came back in 7 minutes later. "Yeah, yours will be up in a bit." "I see the sign (no public restrooms) does that apply to paying customers?" "What?" "I need to use the restroom while I wait." "Uh, he wanna use the bathroom." The employee who chastened me stepped up and leaned in and yelled at the 80ish year old man "can you read!!!!no no no bathrooms for the public. That's you!!!!" The first employee said now "you can go somewhere and use the toilet and by the time you come back I mights have your order ready then." The old man asked again. They sent an angry young man out to yell at him this time. "It is against the laws for anyone to use our bathroom cuz of COVID. This man included the "there are ladies present!!shame on you!!!" The old man, whom as you recall had been subject to surprise excessive wait time, stated bluntly "I need to use the restroom so that I don't crap in my pants." The angry man shouted "now we don't serve your type you go now now now!!!" The man stood there, close to a disaster. Another employee came out quickly and escorted him to the restroom. Not good enough. My worry for this store is that, during pandemic, the employees have gotten used to not interacting with customers. I doubt they will be successful in retraining these people to work with the public. They are far too gleeful in their current status. One star, with a hope that someone will address these issues and that it can go up. Even if you crave Popeye's, you are better served going to a different location... and even with the longish drive to the next store you will likely come out ahead on the wait time. I wish i could give this location zero stars. The two female closing managers are very unprofessional and out of line screaming and cussing at two separate customers in the time that I was there. They simply can not run a shift to save there life they had 5 or 6 employees working and still couldn't get it together. They were jumping from task to task with out getting getting any of the orders actually completed. I was there for over 40 minutes and they had a whole lobby full of customers also waiting just as long. They had terrible customer service skills. I went today 9/18/23. The chicken was fine but my side dishes were horrible! The rice in the red beans & rice was so old the rice was hard and the beans were discolored! I never even tried the mac & cheese because it looked old too and there was literally only enough for two teaspoons! This was so bad that if I would have attempted to eat it I believe it would have made me sick. I was too scared to eat any of it so threw it all away, even the chicken. Pulled up on my lunch break (I only get 30 minutes) no line in the drive thru and 3 cars in the parkin lot I sat at the drive thru speaker for 13 minutes before someone came on the speaker and said "what you want" I got a chicken sandwich and a Fanta. I wish I could post less than 1 star. This was the craziest/worst experience I've ever had at any drive thru fast food restaurant. After waiting in drive thru for over 20 minutes we finally pull up to the speaker box. No note on the box to say it was out of order and to pull forward. After waiting another 20 minutes at the window the worker took our order from memory. Asking many times to repeat. Looking inside the window we see many workers not actually working, instead sipping out of a cup. The music was blaring inside which made it hard to communicate back in forth with the girl working the window. After our order changing many times because they didn't have Mac and cheese ready or dr. Pepper we told to get the rice and beans and "sweet tea". Our total price was given to us. When our debit card was returned we were told "sorry no receipt but you paid for it". When pulling away we realized our fries were cold, no chicken sandwich, no biscuit, and a non sweet tea. Sadly, there are not many Popeyes in the area and since I will not be returning to this one I won't know the taste of that spicy chicken sandwich people fan about. read more

We ordered two chicken sandwiches, in order to see what the hype was all about. I ordered a regular sandwich and my wife ordered hers plain. My wife opened hers first, and the chicken was soggy and limp. It was inedible. Mine, however, was delicious. My wife and I had to share my sandwich. Believe it or not, this was our first time trying Popeyes because there were none in my area until we moved to Akron in October. I've been missing out! First of all, their chicken tenders were so crunchy and delicious (especially dipped in their Buffalo sauce). When I saw their biscuits, I though "oh jeez, these look mediocre and not in comparison to kfc" boy was I wrong! Put some butter on those little guys and you are in heaven! I wasn't a big fan of their Cajun fries or their mashed potatoes (you would like the mashed potatoes if you like a little Cajun kick to them) I'm a little country brown gravy type of gal. But LET ME TELL YOU: DIP THE CAJUN FRIES IN THE MASHED POTATOES. Thank me later. I ate ALL of them even though I didn't like either one really by themselves. Yes, I said it. Dip your potatoes in your potatoes, your carbs in your carbs. Don't judge me, just try it! And all this for $17.99 (with coupon).
