My husband and I stopped by this place to grab a bite to eat. We bought the Golden BBQ Sandwich with bacon and cheese. I asked one of the staff if they could put the bacon on the side because I don't eat it but my husband does. He said he had to ask the manager and the manager said, "why don't you and your husband buy 2 sandwiches: one sandwich with bacon and cheese and one without bacon". I didn't appreciate her response to my question; that's not good customer service. My husband and I were going to share the sandwich. I don't understand why they couldn't put bacon on the side. I'm still playing for the sandwich. I was tired of going back and forth and just bought the sandwich without bacon on it. The sandwich was good, but I didn't like their reasoning. When I got home, I saw that accuracy was not their strong point when I got an extra drum and no thigh. You can ask for extra sauce on the chicken sandwich. One review I noticed on another popeyes location or here (I cant remember where) was that the size of the chicken in the sandwich kept getting smaller and smaller each time they went back. But here, the chicken is so thick that the sides of the buns don't even touch. The tables are clean and going at 6pm on a weekday, only two tables were being occupied so it wasn't loud and it was spacious. I got my order in about ten minutes? I ordered 2 sandwiches, 1 tender box, and 2 small fries. The total came out to be a bit over $15 because I used a coupon deal found on the popeyes site for the tender box. When I first tried the popeyes sandwich at a different location, I thought it was cool but nothing SPECIAL. It just tasted like popeyes chicken between two buns. However, after become FAMILIAR with the taste, it becomes easier to CRAVE it. You can't really crave something you never had. I highly recommend trying the spicy chicken sandwich. I was watching what was going on behind the counter, and, the guys were wearing masks and gloves, constantly cleaning... THIS PLACE WAS STERILIZED - CLEANER THAN ANY FAST FOOD RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN IN! To me, the cleanliness was jaw dropping! Got my food and left. I ordered from here once a while ago when they opened, and it wasn't that good, but this time, the chicken was juicy and tasty, the biscuits were delicious and so was the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese!!! It gets 2 stars because it's still Popeyes after all but this location literally has nothing all the time. No sweet tea is at this location.. no corn as a side... no butterfly shrimp... RARELY any spicy chicken available. I can almost always go in certain that whatever I wanted isn't available so I have to plan for a backup. Bought one bucket of the 11 pcs chicken special for $14.99 and one special meal for 14 pcs with 2 Large Side, with 7 biscuits for $22.99. The people here are very friendly and respect everyone. I come with my friends here all the time and spend $25+ on a meal. The food is delicious here but not as good as 7 av. You can tell the difference unless you eat it side by side. I wouldn't recommend spicy because it burns your stomach afterwords. I ate spicy and an hour later when I was trying to play handball, my stomach mas burning really bad. The place is very clean and there's a lot of seats. I love these seats. The booths are the best. Sometimes they're full but it depends when time you go. This place is rlly good for a quick snack and cheap unlike KFC. I was charged $20 for a bucket of 8 pieces of chicken. Built right next to the failed KFC is the new Popeye's. Although an American chain, this Popeye's is slightly different as its completely run and managed by a Chinese crew. Although a Chinese owned and managed Popeyes, it's still the same as other places. This means that there won't be any sort of special edition food like KFC promoting Hokkaido style fried chicken in Hong Kong. Other than some Chinese characters, it's still overall your standard Popeyes. Service: Because the entire crew is Chinese, they are wickedly fast and efficient. You can talk to them in Cantonese or Mandarin, making it Chinese friendly as the neighborhood becomes the next 8th Ave (but with less Fujianese). Compared to your typical Popeye's or KFC, it can take over 5 mins at times to complete an order. Without exaggeration, as soon as the ticket hits, the crew quickly grabbed all the orders and have them bagged and ready for pick-up in a minute. My service experience was good with them, would've given them 5 stars for that, but it dropped for other reasons. Their speed is also their weakness. A family member of mine ordered from them and she asked can she only get the dark meats as the breast is always dry. She also never tried their rice with beans, but the cashier assured her it was good. When she got home with the food, we found a lot of breast parts (our least favorite) and the rice and beans tasted odd. It didn't taste bad, but the beans didn't actually tasted like how beans should be. Something about the sauce and flavor tasted off from how it should usually taste and the crew was so fast that they forgot to honor their part to give my kin the order as specified. Food: It's a chain, so the food is relatively consistent to all the other Popeye's you ever ate. When freshly made and eaten, the chicken is flavorful, juicy, and crunchy. The biscuits are nice and they swapped out gravy for the mashed potatoes with some gumbo-like sauce in there instead. If you're unlucky and business has been slow, the warming lights would've heated and dried out the meat, making it harder to chew on. If they're willing to comply, ask for the freshly fried and only the dark meats if you can. Decor & Environment: The place is smaller compared to other Popeyes, but it's relatively brand new and well maintained for cleanliness. The place wasn't meant to handle beyond 30 people, but because many come for the take-out and not actually sitting in, it's rarely packed inside. Toilet: The bathroom is brand new and on the right mid-side of the restaurant. It might be one of the rare few places you can go in for a quick relief without being pestered to buy something. Overall: It's an unusual Popeye's installation as it's a Chinese edition one without anything special to add. You think there would be a General Tso's in there (since it's just a fried chicken nugget over sauce), but other than the Chinese crew and sign outside, it's just a well operated restaurant. While there are less options to the failed KFC, what was available was better quality of food and service. I would come back here and eat again. read more

Chicken always tastes the same at Popeyes so there are no complaints regarding the food. But the service here is hit or miss. I understand Cantonese and that's what the majority of the workers here speak. There's one employee here, in particular that goes by the name of Eling. Every time she serves me, she always has a stink face. Go find another job if you hate it here that much. But that probably won't happen cause it's one big family that owns this place. I was placing my order and my sister was talking to me when she rudely interrupted my conversation. The service is quick and the food comes even quicker. Now the food itself is OK, we should know by now fast food is made much earlier in advance during the day (possibly overnight for some of the side dishes). The food then sits on a heater all day. It's not going to be fresh but its going to fill your cravings. One section of seating opened back up during the ongoing pandemic which is a plus. read more
