Charlie the manager was very nice to us and our group we had a good time chatting over food

The service is very bad! Today, 5/8/26, I waited in the drive thru and the male was like "what just keep waiting" when he said that I stayed patient for over 10 minutes and no one still answered. I then said hello and he said "keep waiting, what do you want me to do" I have gone here on many occasions but each time the services was not good and I keep hoping it will get better, but today I have decide never to go back to the this location ever again! I highly recommend never going there to anyone. The owners should be held accountable to how their employees act and treat the customers. read more

Assuming this is Clermont FL location ... Ordered pick up and left to get on down the freeway. Ordered spicy Fried Fish sandwich but got a plan chicken sandwich w mayo on it. Ordered sweet and got an unsweet tea. Wife ordered spicy chicken sandwich and got one but the piece of chicken was tiny compared to normal. Of course we didn't realize it before hitting the freeway w no time to return to correct the order. Staff needs a lesson from the Chick-Fil-a that we passed to eat at Popeyes. Love Popeyes. Run, don't walk away from this place. Wish Yelp had a zero star rating. Went on 5/29 to place an order for a large family gathering of 20 people. (prob should have ordered online first), First impression was the hand written sign at the register that it's cash only. I asked the clerk who said that's their policy. As I was leaving, I noticed the kiosk took credit cards, different than what the clerk told me, she clearly wasn't interested in my business. I placed a rather large order (over 50 pieces and sides). Also noticed the forks/knives/napkins were empty (and filthy) and asked and she gave me two forks and two napkins. For 20 people. Popeyes needs to review this franchise and correct their deficiencies. Never again. read more

0 stars if I could. Not just a single bad experience at this location! Based on many previous visits, I avoid this place like the plague. Interestingly, my previous reviews of this location have disappeared??? I have placed numerous online orders that took more than 30 minutes beyond the pickup time. Also had a few occasions that ordered items were out of stock and wasn't even told until I checked my bag and asked why items were missing. In-store refunds of course are not possible and getting corporate or customer service to issue them has been hit or miss the few times this location could not fulfill my prepaid online orders. Only made a visit to this terrible location yesterday because I had rewards points that were about to expire and not enough free time in my schedule to drive to a better location further out. This visit was more of the same. Waited almost 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter so that I could pick my order up. At least this time my order was ready on time (just sitting getting cold while I waited for an employee to hand it over the counter). Noticed that neither my bag or the dinning room had any napkins or utensils, so had to wait almost another five minutes for someone to come over and help me (employees in the kitchen were just standing around talking rather than cooking or preparing food/orders, or helping customers). Dined in, so was lucky enough to still be there and able to take my sandwich back to the counter because it was missing sauce and pickles (they literally gave me a piece of chicken mostly in the bun, and that was it). Took another few minutes for someone to come over to the counter. Looked at my phone, 15 minutes after my pickup time... I was finally able to sit and start eating. The sandwich freshness and flavor was fine once it was correctly prepared. The fries were cold and had that staleness to them. Maybe they just sat too long before I had a chance to finally eat them? Every table was dirty... greasy/oily spots, crumbs, and sticky smeared sauce/ketchup/soda syrup rings?!?!? Could not go more than maybe two feet without crumbs all over the floor from one end of the dining room to the other. At least the floors weren't sticky like they have been on previous visits. I would dine at Popeyes more often if this location wasn't always so terrible or if other better locations were closer. Even if the food is free, this location's many issues make it not worth the time and hassle. My advice, avoid this one! read more

I am giving all these two stars for the food because it's really good. Popeyes is my favorite fried chicken place, however, the service is very bad. I have visited this location a few times and every time I have had a bad experience. During my last visit, I had to wait for an hour to get my wings and fries. I also ordered chicken sandwiches, but they forgot them. I hope the management improves the service because this place has great potential to be a good spot to visit. read more

The food is like any other Popeyes, but the wait time is insane. You can easily end up waiting an extra 15 minutes after you've paid. I've had this experience a few times, which made me wonder: why do I keep eating this crappy food? I would leave 0 stars if I could. I have been to the Clermont location on 50 3 times and each time I've had a bad experience. On 5/30/25 around 10pm I pulled up and doors were locked. Went through drive thru. There was a red Ford parked at the window. 10:25 and the car was still there and had not even ordered. We decided to leave. 6 other cars were the and left as well. We went through the drive thru due to having two sleeping toddlers with us. The receipt showing where they charged me for a soda because I asked for a water. They informed me they have to charge me. I understand the charge, but $3.99 for a regular soda when I only wanted a water and it was an addition to food and drinks we ordered. I would have understood a $1.00 charge for the cup but $3.99.....really expensive for a paper cup with tap water in it. read more

The chicken is always great here at Popeyes, and the employees are extra friendly. Once in a while, an order might go astray, but the employees have a terrific spirit and personality, and will make things right. Their chicken sandwiches are fantastic, and the Popeyes chicken is seasoned just right. I love their coleslaw, but I guess other people do too, because they run out of it once in a while. Their signature, spicy bone in wings are fantastic. The New Orleans style music playing on the loudspeaker outside, makes waiting in line much more pleasant. All in all, it's one of the best places to get food in the Clermont area. Order ahead, or on the mobile app, because sometimes the counter service can take a while. read more

This location is on top of a hill (it is Clermont, after all) so it's a bit hard to spot, but easy to get into once you see it. I did the drive through service and it was very fast and courteous. I had the new Cajun fish sandwich, which is just like the spicy chicken sandwich except for the protein and tartar sauce. It was good, but not as good as the chicken version, because it lacked the crunch. Popeyes has great sides, so explore beyond the Cajun fries. The beans and rice are wonderful; so is the gravy on the mashed potatoes. And the coleslaw is always nice and crunchy. I rank them tops of all the fried chicken chains. read more

First red flag is that the place was pretty much deserted only 3 people were in the seating area.'The food was reasonable, but the spicy chicken didn't taste spicy at all. I was very disappointed with the staff because when I was ordering the man was respectful but every other person was either staring at me or scrolling on their phone. One man even had personal headphones on, and wasn't doing anything. It took forever to get through the very few people waiting and if you looked behind the register the cooking environment was disgusting. The slowest Popeyes I have ever been to. I stopped at this Popeyes in Clermont on 50 on 5/30/25. I arrived at 10pm. Doors were locked so we went through the drive through. There was a red Ford with dark tinted windows parked where you order. Blocking everyone else from ordering. There were 6 cars waiting at the time we were there. We all ended up reversing and leaving. Waited until 10:25pm. Red car never moved or order. Drove through the pick up windows there was another car there. Looked inside and saw no one there. Online it says they are open until midnight. This is the second time I go to this Popeyes and both times I had a horrible experience. I will never go back. Not sure how this place is still open. read more

Slooooooow! Placed order on the Popeyes app 9:07pm for 5 piece spicy with a large red beans and rice. It said my order would be ready 5-10 minutes. I arrived at the counter at 9:23. My order on the monitor said it was ready. At 9:28 someone finally acknowledged me and I said my name and the my order was ready. She said hold on I'm helping someone who I didn't know they placed an order. IDK??? Finally at 9:35 I got my order. There were 6 people working and I believe they were in a competition for who could move the slowest and do the least amount of work. food was average for popeyes. I ordered on the ap and the pickle glaze was not available at the store.The lady was rude and condescending at the counter. Took almost 20 minutes for them to complete the order. While I was waiting another lady came up and complained her fries were cold I watched as they brought fries from the fryer that had been sitting there so long they became a brick and had to be broken up. The manager filled the fry pack up and dumped another scoop on the bag. She didn't even fill my fry pack up half way. Chicken is extremely salty, crust on chicken is very thick. Don't allow corn to swim in butter, just brush it on. Biscuit, please less butter. If they make these small adjustments this fast food would be good food. Service is fast food service. Restaurant ambiance, well no ambiance. Really needs to be cleaner, tables wiped down. I know it's hard to find good employees, so you would think for the cost of a chicken meal you would find better employees, who actually want to work. I knew better then to try this location again. We literally drive to Ocoee from Clermont if we want Popeyes because it's so bad. I wanted the 10 piece deal advertised on the website. They said it didn't exist and I had to get a 12 piece for $39. Whatever, fine. We then waited 45 minutes for a 12 piece meal. They said their fryer was broken so I'm not sure what is going on. The only way to get a refund is to go through the app and tell the robot there was an issue and wait for a person to respond in 1-2 days. Popeye's has great food, but this particular location needs to fire literally ALL of its employees and hire a new, more efficient and competent staff from the ground up. They're always incredibly slow, and put the bare minimum amount of effort into their work.
