This location is close to home and we've been frequenting over the years. My parents, daughters, and I prefer the fried chicken and Cajun fries whereas my husband prefers the spicy fried chicken sandwich and mashed potatoes. There is something for everybody. We have not dined in. We would usually order take-out through the phone app or drive-thru. We have encountered friendly staff and our orders have been correctly and timely fulfilled. The chicken sandwich with bacon was good. The fries were okay. They forgot my mac and cheese. I didn't realize it until after we got home. I normally check my order after receiving it but we were in a hurry to get home. The one in Lisle is pretty good with making sure every order is fulfilled. My wife ordered dinner at this location on the app, and went to pick it up. When she got home, the order was missing two sides of mashed potatoes. She called the store to inform them. They told her to come right back, but at the time she couldn't because her leg was sore and swollen. They couldn't accommodate her to come tomorrow when she was feeling better, they insisted that she come right away. They also said she should've checked her order before she left the restaurant. They kept arguing and angering my wife, then finally hung up on her. That also made me angry. I tried calling them, and no one answered the phone. Despite the fact I was trying to get rid of a headache, I headed down to the restaurant. When I got there, I asked for the manager. I told him about the missing mashed potatoes and the way my wife was treated, in a curt, yet diplomatic tone I could muster. The manager was indifferent and dismissive to me, yet gave me the mashed potatoes I was missing. No apologies at all. This is the worst example of customer service I had ever encountered. I used to work in retail, and this kind of behavior towards customers is an abomination. How this person got to be manager I can't fathom. Bottom line, if you get food at this location, expect incompetence, indifference, and just plain bad service. My chicken dinners was excellent however my wife's chicken sandwich was cold. Everytime we order there is always something wrong with her meal. Our last visit was a disaster so we have not been back to Popeye's for over a year, pre-Covid. As always, the food is good. They have the best biscuits! Their chicken strips and fries seldom disappoint, but they are still struggling with "help wanted". The cashier that waited on us was obviously frustrated to be working the cash register. She had to be told "take the next order" and struggled with a simple request of " I would like an extra order of refried beans. Yes, I know we will have to pay extra for an extra item of food." To be honest I never liked going to this popeyes because the customer service sucks alot of times a d their food is not great. I went to this location because it's closer to my home. To my suprise I received chicken that was uncooked and also when I looked the chicken breast to open it, it wasn't done and it was uncooked. I sent email to corporate with no response as of yet. Look at the review it's not a lie. This place is awful ! It's filthy, the employees do not care, the owner does not care and Popeyes corporate won't do anything about it. I heart Fried Chicken! This location is convenient to me and with the app has made pick up that much easier! I've been through the drive thru and dined in without any issues. With the chicken sandwich insanities it has made the drive thru line extra long as of late....and because this is in a plaza with other stuff...the traffic control side of things can get super crazy. Just like with any fast food place I roll up to, I quickly take a peek in the bag to make sure everything there. Highly recommend using the app since there are special offers in the app (I tend to either roll around with expired coupons or have already recycled them to be able to use them)...in addition if they still have chicken sandwiches...you will be able to order on the app...park( I had to park outside of their lot due to the drive thru line) and walk in grab your order and walk out....that's how I scored the last sandwiches of the day!!!! read more

The food is typical Popeye's, nothing unusual or bad about it. But this location has issues which have caused me to conclude that I'm done going there. They're fired. I'm hitting this location with one star for the following: I have suffered an unacceptable number of drive-thru order screwups over the past year including missing items, incorrect items, and the failure to properly take an order. I estimate that about HALF the orders have had issues. The final straw for me was the other night. I placed my order at the drive-thru, the order was repeated back to me and sounded correct, but then an item was missing when I checked the bag after driving off. I checked the receipt and discovered that the person taking the order never recorded the item despite repeating the order back to me correctly through the intercom. I immediately went back to the drive-thru window (fortunately there weren't any other cars there), told the cashier in the window that I was missing an item, and the person pulled up the receipt and simply declared that "I wasn't charged for it" with a stone-faced look of indifference. No "Sorry, I must have missed that item when I was taking your order. If you would like that item, I'll be happy to ring it up for you and get it." NOTHING. I drove off instead of ordering the item, screw them! The other big problem is that practically everyone that works at this location is a Spanish speaker with an inability to speak English well enough for conducting business. They all have heavy accents, are difficult to understand, and if you have any questions and have to have an actual conversation they don't understand you. Service was lousy. There were about 8 people in the service area doing nothing. It took the guy serving me a long time to get my order. I ordered the shrimp dinner with a side of fries.
