The place looks dark & dingy to start with. I placed my order and then I decided that I wanted something else and the cashier was indignant that I would want to order more, wow that's how businesses thrive and are able to pay their workers. Just got a family order (8 pieces with two beans & rice). The beans were spoiled. Tasted like ammonia. I called and girl offered to replace them-no thanks that's a 40 minute round trip. I wanted refund but will work with CC company for that. In meantime, I'll called Health Dept to have them check refrigeration practices. They have 1.6 Yelp review...too high. Plus they normally give military discount; Guy said not for family meals. BS! Popeyes, where the prices go up but the sides sizes get smaller. Never again. This was my worst visit to any Popeyes ever. It took twenty minutes to get our food, that was barely warm. The macaroni looked old and burnt, the coleslaw was actually frozen solid, the mashed potatoes were good, tenders were barely warm, fries were cold, and the cheese sticks tasted like shrimp. The whole time you're eating, you do get a show from the Indian staff yelling all through the restaurant, in Indian. I'll never go back! read more

Ordered online and they acted like they never had an online order before. Tried to charge me again at the window. This evening I decided to stop by Popeyes for a quick snack for the kids. I was greeted by a lovely young woman that allowed me time to peruse the menu. After ordering I proceeded to the window where I was greeted by the most kind and considerate person. Her name was Aniyah. (I pray that I spelled her name correctly!) She not only smiled while taking my payment,she made sure to ask if I truly did not want a cold beverage. Once my order was ready, she personally delivered my food to my car and ensured that I had received everything necessary to enjoy. The food was absolutely amazing! It was beyond fresh and seasoned! The crispiness of the chicken combined with the delicious various sauces, was top notch! We were so impressed with this experience! I believe Aniyah was just appointed manager and her level of service is impeccable! She is such an asset to the company and plays a key role in what really makes a difference to the community. I applaud her for the way she relies on her team and provides an experience that is rare when it comes to a fast dining experience. read more

This is the only Popeyes in Dover, DE and it sucks my order tonight was 5pc spicy tenders meal with Mac and cheese, sprite I also ordered spicy chicken sandwich. The tenders were so dry and rock hard I didn't eat them they were nugget size not tenders size and they weren't spicy. The Mac was cold but the only edible part of the food. My spicy sandwich was MIA the sprite was warm in a cup with no ice. And the worst part is I couldn't even eat the biscuit it was so hard. And no sauces I asked for were given. This is the worst experience I have ever had. First we went to the drive-thru which was busy so we were excited about getting hot food. Once we were able to order we asked for one spicy chicken sandwich, one original chicken sandwich and two small fries. We made our way up to the window and asked the young lady if they did a military discount and she said, "you ain't got no combo". That was fine with us, not every place honors the military. We quickly checked our order to make sure everything was there and left. When I got out of the drive-thru line of course my husband wanted his fries. I dug them out on the bottom and they were Stone Cold. Not warm, but Stone Cold. I checked the sandwiches as well and they were Stone Cold. We didn't want to have to go back it was already late so we just decided to go home and put them in the microwave. They had given me the wrong sandwich and when I returned the sandwich to exchange for what I ordered the manager totally blasted me and gave me a hard time. Very rude. He didn't want to exchange the sandwich. Blasted me for a good 10 mins in front of all other customers and his staff. So unprofessional.
