We went to Texas Roadhouse today to have a late lunch. We were seated immediately, which was nice but almost as soon as we were seated, someone turned up the sound system and omg, it was SO LOUD we literally had to yell at each other across the table. We sat for five minutes and not a single person stopped by our table to even greet us and let us know they would be right with us. However there were five waitresses over laughing and talking by the wall dancing to the super loud music. I know the food is usually pretty good here but man, not worth it if I'm going to end up with a headache. I get having music playing in the background but if you have to yell to have a conversation with the person across from you, it isn't worth it, we left before anyone even came to our table. I've been to this restaurant many many times and the service is 1/2 and 1/2 more towards the good. The Atmosphere is always happy and the restaurant is clean. I love going when we have a birthday to celebrate because of the routine they do. It makes us smile and feel great every time. The food for the majority of the time is on point. Meaning hot and the portions are good. Seasoning of the food disappoints sometimes. This go around we ordered from the To-Go window. They just opened so I was looking forward to freshness and fast service. The young lady that took our order was very nice and explained how it worked. Got the text to pick our food up and was so looking forward to it. The lady that checked us out and gave us our food was super sweet. I was starving so I went to get a bite and the fries were not hot as they should've been especially since they just opened and went right away to pick it up once we got the order. It looked like it was taken off someone's plate and played with. We were already away from the restaurant and that's why we didn't bother going back!! The rest of the order was good. Except the steak. When we got home my husband went to eat his food and was disappointed. He ordered the Steak and Ribs combo. The ribs he devoured but the steak was disappointing. They had no flavor. I've been to this Texas Roadhouse on a few occasions. The last two occasions were very disappointing. One visit I ordered a country fried steak. It was cooked so hard the meat was inedible. Luckily the waitress saw it and let me order something else which was very good. On another night I ordered three pieces of catfish. The coating on the fish was hard as a rick. I picked at it and there were portions where the coating was undercooked. It's obvious this fish was frozen and dropped in hot grease to cook. My advice to Texas Roadhouse, if you're going to offer fish cook it correctly or don't offer it on your menu. Do what you do best and that's great steaks. Disappointment and regret. Went in and ordered 2 bone in ribeyes and a filet. My ribeye looked like a unidentifiable piece of random meet with a slice down the middle because the cooks couldn't tell how badly they burnt my medium rare stake. The other bone in ribey was 2 inches thick on one side and a quarter of an inch at the other end. Both cuts of meet were very badly cut, to the point you couldn't tell that they were ribeyes. The filet was as flat as a pancake, and honestly I'm amazed anyone would have the goll to send food out like this. To add to insult, the restaurant wasn't even busy. When I contacted Texas Road House, they covered less than half the bill for 3 disgusting stakes. It seams like TRH has gone down hill rapidly and they have given up even trying. read more

Folks, if you're over 60 and thinking about eating at Texas Roadhouse, think again. I went to my local TR in Camden, DE on December 14 at 5 pm, and sat down at the bar to have a meal. Guy to my left, 25-30, has a basket of breads put in front of him just about the time I'm sitting down. "I'm Ana, and I'll be your server," says a young lady behind the bar. Fair enough. I'm waiting for my bread to arrive. And waiting. Finally I have to call out to Ana, who brings the bread. I order, eat a roll. Call Ana over. "I'm done with the bread, thanks," I say. "Oh, I'll just leave it here, in case you change your mind," she says as though she's talking to a child. Well. I call the manager over, we go huddle in the corner, and I tell him I want a new waitress. He listens patiently and says he'll set it up. I go back to my seat. Food arrives. The second it does, the bar manager is in my face. "How's the food, sir?" says he. "I'll let you know as soon as I've had some," say I. He finally backs off. The second waitress does a great job, and when I go to pay the bill, I notice on the tab it says not her name, but 'BAR.' I call the waitress over. "Excuse me, Juanita, but if I pay via a credit or debit card, does that mean my tip will be shared among all the bar waitresses?" She nods yes. I call over the bar manager, and request a private meeting back in the corner. Now I'm furious. He nods, listens. "Sir, I can offer you a $2 coupon for your next visit with us," he says when I'm done. "There will be no next time," I tell him. I pay Juanita in cash handed directly to her, and double the tip since her service was so good. I hope the bar manager doesn't force her to share it with Ana. But I have no control over that. My husband and I went here for lunch yesterday and had a great experience. I ordered the shrimp dinner and he ordered the SmokeHouse Burger. Both were fantastic but I have to admit I wish I would have gotten his Burger because it looked fabulous, although he did give me a taste and it did taste pretty good. We decided to come here a third time and my steak was COMPLETELY raw inside- not rare, just raw. My boyfriend's steak was also undercooked although most of it was still edible. I called them and the manager said well they get three ounces so that is like 3 fries. Really ? I have eaten there for years and not once has a plate come out with 3 fries. So I always believe in giving a place more than one chance. I will never come to this restaurant again and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone I know. Around 6:40 to 6:50 PM I placed an order online for take away and the order was supposed to be ready by 7:25 PM. I arrived at 7:30 PM. I paid and they said they would be checking on my order. The girl said Only two things were ready. So I proceed to wait. They checked back on my order three times in the kitchen and on the third try they came back and told me that they didn't have certain food from the order(that they were out of it) and that since they didn't have it could they replace it with something else. It would be fine had they done that oh I don't know when the order was first placed or you know when I first arrived around 7:27 Pm. But no, they didn't know until close to 7:50pm which was well after the order was placed (between 6:40 and 6:50 PM). A manager came out and said he'd be placing the money back to the card. He didn't. Just the amount for the one item. They inconvenienced me for over half an hour. Not to mentioned the time from when my order was initially placed. When I got home and checked my purser there was even more missing than what I was told. Also no silverware or napkins. Save your money. Go to Outback Steakhouse. Better service, better management, and better food. Will NEVER come back and will make sure anyone I know will be aware this is one of the worst restaurants in the Dover/Camden area. read more

I'll start off with saying TR food is delicious and with very few restaurant choices in Dover (in Delaware really smh) TR is a great option. My problem is with takeout. They tend to mess up your order so you must check your order before leaving or risk being pissed when you get home to eat. This seems to be a major issue with a lot of restaurants these days: no attention to detail especially during peak hours. Anyway, I always get the grilled chicken salad. Yes, I get salad at a steakhouse lol. Try the made from scratch dressings and you will see why. The Caesar is amazing!!!! The rolls and cinnamon butter are also very good.
