Hey friends! I hate that the closest Cheddars back home is 40+ miles away! I loveeeee Cheddars, it's one of the few chain restaurants that has maintained quality over the years. I ordered my usual, the chicken tendies. Just as good as I remembered! I tried their corn for first time, and I need that recipe lol. It was so buttery and sweet. I love their portion sizes. My boyfriend ordered one of the burgers and enjoyed it as well. I actually don't remember the croissants being the complimentary appetizer. But they were a great surprise. Buttery, flaky and drizzled with a sweet sauce. I had an Arnold Palmer to drink with their house made lemonade, AMAZING! I was looking for a place to dine after taking my boys on a college tour not far from this location. It was recommended that I try Cheddar's while in the area. Now this was my 1st time visiting this restaurant and people raved about the honey biscuits. I did not realize this was a chain restaurant on the line of Applebees. We ordered a bunch of food from chicken tenders, salmon, burgers to steak including a Watermelon Margarita with I believe was on the Happy Hour menu. Our service was ok- nothing special and the food was average. The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of parking. I may try again if in the area but, I would not go out of my way to return. read more

I've been here a few times but never felt and got treated the way Sara made us feel. Had us and one other table. Came to us after 5 minutes. We ordered water and chips and queso appetizer. I told her I'm allergic to tomatoes so please no tomatoes. The appetizer came before our waters. I think there were tomatoes in the appetizer. She then dropped the waters off and said she will drop the next table their drinks and come back. She went to them and a new table they assigned her. She didn't come to us even after the 3rd table got assigned. She went to the 3rd table, disappeared for a bit and took that tables order and they even got their salad before she even came to us! We decided to leave. Ambiance... horrible. Service horrendous. Will not be going here for a while if we even do decide to go back. My mom and I were hungry after spending the morning shopping for furniture across the street so we stopped here out of convenience. Everything was sticky -- the floors, the table, the silverware, the door to the bathroom. It didn't get our meal off to a good start. The rolls are delicious and our spinach and artichoke appetizer and my strawberry chicken salad with honey Dijon dressing were ok. Nothing to write home about, but there weren't a lot of options for my mom, who is diabetic. Our fault for not checking the menu first. Perhaps if you have fewer dietary restrictions, all the fried options would be ok. The hosts when we entered were awkward and uncommunicative, but our server was fantastic, if a little overwhelmed with the number of tables that got set in her section. Cheddars! Cheddars! Why do you do us like this? Lol We give you another chance after a long hiatus thinking something will change and you prove us wrong. First, we had corn, onion rings, fried fish, Cole slaw with shrimps and fries. We only went there for fish. To be fair, corn was good, coleslaw was good and so were the onion rings and fries. But the star of the show...the fish and shrimps...broke our hearts. :( For both, it was the breading. Tasteless and soggy but condensation prob is what killed the crunch more than likely. But it fell off the fish and shrimp for the most part. We noticed that the fish was in pieces like someone had broken up a big piece into pieces and split it among the 2 orders we purchased. Then the fish was really mushy and had a really pink hue on the inside. Never saw that with flaky white fish so we put it all in the airfryer on 350 for 5 minutes. That wasn't enough to crisp it up and take that pink hue away. Put it back for another 5 on 300 so it wouldn't dry out. STILL had a pink hue, still was a tad mushy but it did crisp up a bit. Guess we will take another hiatus. It may hv been better had we eaten in tho. We just can't won with home delivery. read more

Worst service I've ever seen there. We went at 8 in a Saturday night short wait almost ten minutes for drinks. Ordered the chips an queso only to get a half a plate of chips and maybe a spoonful of salsa and a greasy cup of runny cheese and beef with no flavor. Waited another 20 minutes for more chips when our food arrived my chicken breasts were greasy one was overcooked and rubbery the other was RAW in the middle. Eek, the honey butter biscuits and cheese bites are the only reason I give this place one star. There is absolutely zero communication and the staff is not attentive nor do they understand speed of service. We arrived at 6:10 pm and were sat within minutes. Around 6:10 our server arrives (she never said her name but she had black and rainbow hair). She took our drink orders- I ordered a Maui margarita and my husband ordered a Long Island. 15 minutes later, the Long Island arrived but not my margarita and she asks if it's ok to be on the rocks because "the frozen isn't working I guess" (my math was listed as frozen on the menu). At this time we place our food orders because it's been almost 30 minutes and still no appetizers. I also request a drink swap once the margarita arrived because it was clear the bartender did not know what they were making and it tasted like strawberry syrup. I asked for a long island (remember this). I ordered the 7 oz filet with broccoli cheese casserole and a loaded baked potato. My husband gets the ribeye, fries, and fresh broccoli. We both ordered medium steaks. It is now 7pm, and we do not have our food, my Long Island I ordered 20 minutes ago or water that I asked for shortly after sitting down at the beginning of the meal. At 7:05 our food arrives and I'm told the baked potatoes would be another 10 minutes and she then realizes I never got my Long Island. At that point we had been there an hour and only just received our food so I asked that she tell the bartender to not make the drink. My medium steak that I requested was completely well done and dry and that is disrespectful for a filet to begin with. I asked for the bill as well because this is the type of server that takes an order and then disappears for 10-15 mins and doesn't come and check on you. She was nowhere to be found majority of our meal and then when the check was brought she had the nerve to hover over my while I was determining a tip and signing my receipt. Which to me is extremely distasteful practice to sit around and wait for someone to see what type of tip they are going to leave. By the time we left the bar was crowded with over 20 college sorority ladies for a birthday and the tables all around were filled with kids. I would also like to add we arrived and were sat about 10 mins before a party of 13 that was sat in the booth directly behind us and they got every drink , food order, before my party of 2 the entire evening. Been here a few times, figured its about time to post a review. Outside is always clean, as is the inside. This time, visited on a weekday with some coworkers for lunch. The waitress we had was simply awesome-she did her job very well, felt like she always came over at the perfect time. Our meals came out quickly, which is important on a workday-meals all had a lot of food, and prices were fair. We tried Cheddar's about 2 months ago, and had a good experience, so tried it again. I have never heard of Cheddar's till we moved to DE- there are none in SoCal. Anyway, the waitress is great, but when I ordered (this was about 2pm), they said they hadn't started making the Monty Cristo sandwiches yet. I ordered something else, and hubby got some other sandwich, which he said was okay, not outstanding. Not a great experience and the food was just meh. The waitress was great, not her fault about the food. But probably will not be coming back here again. There's not really many good real (not chain, restaurants to eat at in DE, that have really good food unfortunately). We got sat in the bar part for the second time, and it was kind of loud. I'm a first time guest here. I'm not from this area someone recommended this place. Upon arriving an hour before closing with other guests entering we were greeted by friendly staff. I've ordered the Buffalo chicken wrappers and baked potato. They were delicious. I like the fact they put the ranch on the side instead because I don't like it when it makes everything soggy inside the tortilla. The butter crossantsss are free. I was going to order it thinking it wasn't free, but it is ! 1 per guest. The service was ok no complaints. It's just that I had to ask for items such as napkins and refills. I give it a 4 star because the floor was very slippery . I had heels on and my companion had sneakers and he told me it's slippery and to be careful. The host sat us at a table with dirtyy seats. . Upon entry, we heard a warm "Thanks for coming out." The restaurant isn't noisy, so you can actually have a conversation. Nice. Our server checked on us just enough while we ate. It wasn't our first time, so I knew what to order. My husband enjoyed a burger and fries and I had the most delicious and moist 8 oz salmon filet, as always when we're in the area. We have tried Cheddar's on three different occasions and the food/service seemed to get worse on each occasion, which is a shame because the restaurant has a nice setting and gives you that "home made" feeling. Haven't been here in over one year. Their "wait list" function worked flawlessly. From there..... two orders of half ribs, one with BBQ sauce on the side, with baked potato and carrots. The other with cole slaw and french fries. Baked potato never showed up, finally told us they were out, and neither did the BBQ sauce. The wait person, although initially appearing fine, turned out to be indifferent; when she showed up. While the food was nondescript, the service was worth shouting about. I don't blame the kitchen, who are simply following the recipes, but rather the Darden group for not helping elevate standard American dishes to the next level in this particular chain. Yardhouse and (especially) Seasons 52 are wonderful. Cheddar's is ok. That said, our server and the kitchen staff did everything they could to make our evening happy and tasty. My incorrect order was replaced with lightning speed, Hannah made sure to check on us, and I appreciated that the manager circled the dining area, though she was not needed by us. Thank you! I'll also add that the value for the food we ordered was amazing. My burger was dry and bland, but it was big and had plenty of bacon. I fully understand why families choose Cheddar's as a destination for a celebration or for a dressier family meal. The restaurant is well appointed, clean, and quieter than most. Cheddar's will not be a place that I frequent, but is absolutely a restaurant I would choose to take friends and family members who's food tastes require a safer selection. Service was marginal at best. On my first visit with my Brother and his wife was a disaster. Service was very slow. When the food arrived they bought my SIL chicken fingers eventhough she ordered a Tilapia dish. The waitress took it back and by the time it was brought out my brother and I were finished eating.
