I have visited this Popeyes location previously and did not have a positive experience. I decided to give the restaurant another opportunity, assuming my prior visit may have been affected by arriving late in the evening. Unfortunately, my recent visit during the midday lunch hours was equally disappointing. Upon returning home and opening my order, I found that the honey barbecue wings I ordered were simply fried wings with a minimal amount of sauce applied, which did not match the advertised item or expected quality. The Manager I believe was standing right behind him and didnt help at all. at first when I went through the drive-through they said they had no such a coupon. then when I came in, he said I can only order it through a mobile order. even though the coupon Said I could order in the restaurant. Solidly average. This Popeye's location is new (Opened late 2018) but pales in comparison to most other locations. First two choices of tables were dirty (only one other customer in the restaurant at this time), chicken tensers were dry, and service was apathetic at best. Mashed potatoes were good! Biscuit was a solid B+. All in all, another local chicken-oriented chain does a far better job on all counts. My first experience was a disaster so I figured I'll keep it simple. The customer service overall is low. Went one day with a neighbor and the manager working that Sunday was going to change of over $21 for the popcorn shrimp only that was $4 and for 4 pieces only of chicken; no sides or drinks. We asked how much for the chicken because that was extremely high. He was very rude and wouldn't give us a breakdown. We told him to cancel the order then he yelled out the window telling us to never come back. We are highly educated and professional black older ladies and was beyond insulted by his unprofessional rude behavior. I complained to corporate and that was a waste of time! This is the worst Popeyes I've ever been to. I've sincerely not once had a good experience here. Let's start with the fact that they are legitimately out of multiple basic items each and every time I come here. Fries, onion rings, shrimp... they never and I mean NEVER are stocked, even if it's early in the day. Each time I go here I have to pull up and wait about 5-10 minutes for my food (along with several other cars sometimes). They can't operate an efficient drive through at all even if there aren't other customers. When I finally get the food it's usually cold. They almost always mess up my order, leave things out, give me the wrong items etc. Staff are rude and move slow. Seems like they're bussed here from the local prison on work release to be honest. And today, while I was in the parking lot waiting for my food, I watched a worker walk out and hand MY food incorrectly to another waiting car, the person in that car rooted the order and realized it was wrong, handed it back to the worker and the worker gave it to me! After someone else's hands had been through it! GHETTO!!! This place is just an absolute irredeemable dump. read more

This place is a disaster. They don't give enough sauces. If you ask for extra sauce they want to charge you. Tonight another customer asked for a dipping sauce and the manager was arguing with him that sauces are for tenders only and he'd have to charge him for sauce. On the cheap theme. They don't have napkins out for customers to take. They will give them with your order. When I go there, it is usually 3-4 of us. They will give about 4-5 napkins. If they are that cheap, where else are they cutting corners. Lastly, a few weeks back while there, they put signs up that BOTH bathrooms were out of order. While we were eating, a few plumbers came in and were working on both bathrooms. I believe that not having working bathrooms is a health code violation. Not good. Coke is always out. Very slow drive thru and almost as bad inside. Charge you extra for more than one sauce. As a previous poster said, food isn't as warm or as fresh as it should be. Ordered two things through the app: the spicy chicken sandwich, and a two piece spicy white meat combo. Pulled into the drive-thru to do pick up, which was short, easy, and sweet. Based on word of mouth I checked the order before pulling away. Yep, sandwich, box o' chicken, and mashed potato side. Seemed ok, so I drove away. Mistake. Should have opened the box. When I got home I discovered I got a "two" piece not-spicy dark meat box that had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, with one of the pieces being the tiniest "wing" I have ever seen, that had only the smallest scrap of meat on it. The other piece, I'm still trying to figure out what it was. Looked like breast from the outside, but it was definitely dark meat. Maybe a thigh? But whatever it was, the breading was a strangely unnatural color that made me reluctant to even eat it. I understand they may run out of something, but at the very least, inform the customer that you made a substitution when they pick up their order, and give them the choice to accept/reject the substitution. Just handing the stuff to the customer with a smile and a "have a nice" day is deceptive and dishonest. Wish I had read the rest of the yelp reviews before visiting, because this is clearly endemic problem with this location. Agreed with other reviews: this place is doomed to go under with this kind of performance. While the sandwich was excellent, I would likely not go back to this particular location. read more

Got my order 100% wrong including the drinks. Not only that but they advertise a fresh lemonade but when I ordered it I watched them fill the cup with lemonade from the soda machine. Not fresh at all. This next part isn't particularly important to the rating but when I went to get the correct order they threw away the wrong order I took back to show them. They could have at least let me keep it since they were going to trash it anyway. I like this Popeyes a lot more than the other ones I've been to. The place is clean and the staff is very nice. When I've been to other Popeyes (especially the one in Baltimore national pike in Catonsville), the staff has been exceptionally rude, almost to the point where I used to think that Popeyes headquarters intentionally taught its employees to be rude to customers and to never respond kindly. They were very accommodating about customizations I wanted to make to my order here as well. The chicken is obviously great, and the mashed potatoes here is my favorite side (caution: it does have bacon in the gravy sauce they use). Also, when you order the chicken, be sure to ask for seasoning too, they make the chicken taste even better. Mmm speaking about all this makes me want to go get some Popeyes right now . read more

Ugh. Brand new and just opened, you'd think it'd be pretty good. Ordered a side of mashed potatoes and a side of Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was so watery and barely warmer than room temp. The mashed potatoes didn't come. Instead they gave me rice and beans ..... ?? Also I thought it was weird that they were only accepting cash and no card payments. Have your card machines broken already?? Glad I didn't order chicken if the sides aren't even good. Since they're new in town I'll wait a few months before I go back and see if they are any better because I hate leaving bad reviews and I would like to update it to a better one. Sorry. But all 5 visits to this location since they opened have resulted in incorrect orders from the drive-through. Staff seem harried and disorganized. I personally watched the employees assemble the order. They literally do not read the receipt, nor even glance at it. No surprise that it is then incorrect. I try to open everything while in the car to double-check accuracy, but tonight I got all the way home and discovered I had chicken, not shrimp. When I returned, the clerk did not even say sorry, but simply demanded to see my receipt, took and kept it, and then opened the box to confirm all the chicken was there, before resealing it, presumably for another customer. Westminster location has way friendlier and more competent employees. Worth the drive if you want Popeyes. Not returning to this location. read more

Popeyes guest relations was sent an email about my experience, but I haven't gotten a response a week later so I need to post it here: I just had the worst experience at a fast food restaurant I have ever had in my 30 years on this planet. It started with disappointment for not having the new sandwich in stock, again, which I was fine with. Followed up with ordering a 4 count spicy chicken drumsticks. We received 4 non-spicy drumsticks. My girlfriend noticed one bite in and I went back to exchange them out, calmly since it was an honest mistake. Since they were completely OUT of spicy fried chicken I waited patiently for them to make them, maybe 5-10 minutes... Rudely given the food as if it was my mistake, I bring back to the table 3 spicy drumsticks! Ok, fine, no big deal. I laughed, went back to get the remaining 4th spicy drumstick. The lady apologized, but didn't give me the food immediately, but actually waited to finish packing another gentleman's to-go order. Now I'm starting to get upset. I don't show it but I take that last drumstick back to my girlfriend. She goes to take a bite and THERE WAS BLOOD ON IT OOZING FROM AN UNCOOKED VESSEL. I say you got to be kidding. There is no way this is true. But then again this location ran out of chicken, their most common item. So we abandon our dinner, and all hopes of eating here tonight. We go back to the lady and say, there is blood in here. She replies, "We cooked it for the right time- what do you want me to do?" I know empathy isn't taught in fast food but wow. Just wow. The manager intervenes and wants to give us a refund. He isn't very respectful either and why would he be... she THREW the evidence of the drumstick covered in blood and MOVED ON with her day before showing the manager!!! My patience was tested to the fullest. I step away only to hear the manager say their system won't work and they can't give my girlfriend a refund on our credit card so he offers cash. We take the cash and ask for the receipt. HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME BACK THE RECEIPT SAYING HE ALREADY GAVE US THE CASH. ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING? THEN I HAVE NO RECORD OF MY CREDIT CARD PURCHASE. What if I leave and one day see $50 spent at Popeyes with no proof of what I actually bought? Is common sense also not taught along with empathy? A sorry under their breath won't suffice. The Popeyes in Eldersburg, Maryland is a dump!!! IT'S THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MISAEL!!!!! HE IS RUDE!!!! They will definitely be closed down soon once Roy Rogers opens up. The customer service is always HORRIBLE and the reviews prove it! I pulled in the drive thru which seemed to not work. I waited and no one responded there was no one in line so I drove up to the window ( I just wanted 12 nuggets) when I arrived at the window I explained the drive thru must not be working properly and I just wanted some nuggets...I was advised from Misael that I would need to drive back around to place an order (there was no one in line or inside) so I parked and came inside when I asked for the District Manager's number Misael told me he didn't know who that person would be...I asked who was the manager he told me he was. I placed my order (just for nuggets) gave him the money he threw my change on a tray and passed it to me....I told him no thank you, you can keep it and give me my money back!!! If I could give a zero then I would. Worst place for fast food!!! We pull up at the drive through after waiting for the car in front of us to go. Sat and waited for exactly ten minutes just for someone to take our order after beeping on my horn. They weren't busy at all. So after the guy takes our order, he asked me to pull upfront and he will bring our food out in just a couple minutes. Ok cool whatever I don't mind a few minutes. We sat in a hot ass with no a/c with 2 screaming babies in my back seat for 35 mins!!! As were sitting there waiting We watched several other cars after us get there food without having to wait. Finally I had enough and so did my kids so I had to grab both babies out of the car by myself with no stroller just to run inside to get my damn money back. N the cashier guy had the nerve to ask me if I wanted him to make my food real quick n I said are u kidding me NO I wanted it made 35mins ago I want my money back now!!
