Sad to have to give a 1 star review over what should have been a non issue. I go to this Popeyes twice a week and order the same combo every time. I do not eat biscuits so instead I always sub it for a side of mashed potatoes. It has NEVER been an issue. One time they said it would be an up charge which I said was fine until I went to check out they said it actually wasn't which was perfect. Today the lady refused to change the biscuit for me, didn't offer to upcharge me either. Just said it's against policy and they never do it. The counter help here only helps one customer at a time. I waited 11 minutes in line with 2 people in front of me, watched the employee wander a few minutes, and then fill the order. When the customer in front of me ordered boneless wings, the staff went to the back and I watched her fill 2 dirty sauce containers while waiting for the order so I could finally order myself. I ordered a spicy 3 piece with red beans and rice, but received the classic chicken. The side was watery, though still better than the last time when it was closer to refried beans and rice. (Thanks to the employee who gave me 2 FREE biscuits) My receipt even says half and half. So when I got home I noticed several different issues. 1. The wings weren't half and half. 2. The menu stated "family bundle with 3 REGULAR sides. I wanted double fries and Mac and cheese. (The Mac and cheese is .50 extra , for a regular). Here's a summary of my last two visits - cold chicken tenders and was never refunded. My last visit, today, received the wrong drink, Mac n cheese had a chemical taste, and wings weren't sauced. I get it, accidents happen, so when I called to see if they could remake the order, I was hung up on. Yelp needs to create a 0 star option. This entire place never fails to be a complete shit show. For starters you order food in the drive through and get told their credit card reader at the DT window is down and to come inside to pay with assurances that your food is ready. Then when you go inside, you meet the "manager" who is a rude unprofessional jerk. He starts by telling me that not only is my food NOT ready but that the order was just entered. Then he is incredulous as to why I would be annoyed after waiting in the DT for 15 minutes only to find out my food was not ready and hadn't even been entered. He even looked at me like I was somehow at fault for the order not being ready..... as if I was running the fryer from the drive through or something. Then when he started piecing my order together I had to tell him like 4 times FOUR TIMES! That I did not order mashed potatoes. Every time he walked away and came back I felt like I was having a conversation with Dory from Finding Nemo. Total lack of short term memory. Look man. This is the nearby Popeyes by our house. Thankfully I have not had any problems with the orders via the drive through or inside the location. My family eats out a lot. We should really try to cut back, however, always on the run, it gets easier for lunch to eat out. Specially during the summer when the kids are out for school. So for the past couple of months we have been eating out a lot more for lunch, well, more than usual. During the weekend my kitchen is always closed at home unless we are having a dinner party. But none the less, we have gone to this location several times due to the proximity to our home. We learned, a long long time ago. NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO for fast food, always check your to go order before you leave the drive through or the inside of the restaurant. The staff is not always the smiliest (is that a word?) but they get the job done. Our food comes out the way we want it and it it is what it is ... fast food! We ordered the 16 piece chicken tender family meal, 8 mild and 8 spicy. Along with other items. We live in Buckeye, so it's a drive. We got home started eating, spicy tenders for the adults and mild for the children. Well, our 12 year old realized and brought us a piece of the mild chicken tenders and it was raw. We checked the other pieces and some were raw as well. I called Popeyes to let them know, and drive back up there. The Manager, offered chicken but I requested a refund. She seemed to not like that. I explained to her that the chicken was raw and she stated "the chicken was not raw, no" I said what?! It was and it is, look at it. I also explained to her that children ate this raw chicken and more than likely will be getting sick. We gave them probiotics right away, with hopes they don't get food poisoning.
