First time at Bubba's 33 & I'm already looking forward to coming back! The food was delicious, and the service was amazing. My waiter, Kami, was absolutely phenomenal--so attentive, friendly, & made the whole experience even better. And the Wild Berry Margaritas were SO good! Only $5 all day, every day is such an amazing deal. Definitely a new favorite spot!

First time here! We really liked it here. I def want to come back and try other items from the menu! It was a busy place but worth it. Our server was nice! Cool sports bar Don't play games or even click them on the tablet unless you want to pay. We accidentally clicked and were almost charged for a game. We will be back! This is a place we want to bring friends and family to when they visit us

Excellent service.... great food! ... TV' screens everywhere... A different game on every screen... I had the chicken salad... my friend had the ribeye steak... both were delicious... service was quick and efficient... Happy hour drinks all day .... Plenty of parking... it's a busy place reservations on weekends are advised...

A juicy scratch-made 1/2 lb burger with seasoned fries
    Ari H.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a craving for a good burger. You know what I mean: that juicy one that you bite into and you immediately need a napkin. The cheese isn't so thin and nonexistent it fairly evaporates into the meat. You taste it because it's good sharp cheddar or thick government cheese. The lettuce is crisp, tomatoes are meaty, and the onions are just there in their aromatic essence - I'm not going to need a breath mint to make it through this date. And, come on, how did I forget about the beef? It can't just be salt and peppered but at least slightly seasoned. Not grisly, dry and not so much meat that it blows out everything else on the bun. Oh, and the sauce. Big stars for not just being thousand island or ranch but some concoction a chef took the time to craft. And why be a scratch kitchen if you are going to slather it with mayo? I won't even order that. Because I hate mayo and I don't want to have to ask for mustard or ketchup or some kind of bottled dressing to make up for the insult of straight mayo. Enter into my life Bubba's 33. I had forgotten about that craving but my husband remembered and found this place for a Friday night date. You walk in and it is so happy. We got there in the sweet spot between super early diners and people who just got off work. I got the burger I just described. To a T. Offered in a comforting, fresh warm bun that was worthy of all it contained. And my husband immediately reached for his napkin. Served with a side of seasoned fries and I asked for ranch for dipping, because I will judge you on your ranch, too. Much respect, Bubba. You did it. As we waited, I had to use the ladies' and happened to see the kitchen on my way. Everyone seems happy to work there, like friends, and maybe that is why the service and food were both top tier. Left happy. Comforted. With a coupon for a free appetizer because the sweet host asks you if it's your first time and then a manager - or some random guy in street clothes rather than a black top like everyone else - comes over and greets you and hands you one. I need to stop writing this because it's only 8:46 am and I want a burger and I have a long day of thrifting and errands in Phoenix that precludes a journey to Bubbas. But, we'll be back! Without even reading this but knowing I am writing this, my husband said he's craving one, too. He said, "That was a goooood burger." lol

Loved the Patriot Burger. Very cool how $1 of every sale goes to help veterans. This is a very big burger and help up well. The bun did not disappear and break on me when taking a bite. All of the topping stayed in and did not explode in my lap. 100% recommend.

Bubba's was such a fun find with lots of great options. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak, po' boy, and the crooked fried cheese (which is actually crooked and made with a good cheese pull with perfectly crispy breading). Everything was really good and the drinks were too. Only small note: the cheese on the fries could've been melted more. Jill was so sweet and gave great service. We were seated quickly with no issue though the greeters could've been a little warmer. Overall, a great spot and we'll definitely be back.

    This is my burger

Howard bacon cheeseburger and came so black, but I couldn't eat it if I wanted to. Can I order just a cheeseburger and it looked good when you take the top off when you flip it over and look at the bottom of the burger it was black so that was done on purpose. I don't recommend coming to this place at all. Service is good. The food is

We arrived with a Party of 8 and were sat down within 10 minutes. But unfortunately waited a long time for our food, it took over 45 minutes, but it was a busy Friday evening! Thank you to our server Priscilla for being helpful and checking in on us to see if we needed anything! The restaurant was clean and such a fun environment, they had good music playing through out the night! We ordered Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Mozzarella Sticks, Onion Rings and everything was hot and so good. Absolutely loved the Bread that comes with the Spinach & Artichoke. I ordered a Strawberry Margarita which was good and ONLY $5! I got the Crispy Chicken Salad and it was good, but it was huge.

This is actually my 2nd time visiting. The first time, I got the spicey chicken sandwich with my choice of sauce (barbeque sauce) and side (tater tots). When we walked in, I noticed that it reminded me of Applebee's but seemed like something was different. This is because it was created by the owner of Texas Roadhouse as a response to Applebees and Chili's. You'll notice that many of the fixtures in this restaurant are shared with Texas Roadhouse but it has its own flair. The spicey chicken was covered in sauce- I would recommend getting finger wipes for this meal, but unfortunately I never got any with my meal. The margaritas are very similar to Texas Roadhouse and price point is slightly lower than Texas Roadhouse. There is also less of a wait. Fried pickles today came out fresh and hot- thinly sliced with ranch. Quite delicious. This time I had the black and blue burger. I've developed a liking for blue cheese for the most part and this burger had it in every bite in the creamy sauce. Sorry but I ate it all and there is no pic. I got fries with it but I prefer the tater tots because they stay hotter longer and come out hotter. May also be a texture thing. I asked for mustard and they had it. We asked for waters but never got them this time around though the waitress stopped by about 3 times but didn't give us time to ask. Price point, decent. Wait, none. Parking, easy. Atmosphere, relaxing.

The dining room is very spacious with many TVs and a pool table in the corner. While the food was "fine," the Happy Hour was actually solid if only typical. Your draft beers were $3, and we ordered a mixture of rum and cokes and an espresso martini. We also ordered some Happy Hour waffle fries and cauliflower "wings," which were over-fried, but the 14" honey hot pepperoni pizza was solid and made up for the appetizers. At the end of the day, the breakaway was a nice change from our typical rotation of places we visit. Did it break into the regular rotation? I love supporting local businesses but I dont think this place will stay open long if they don't make changes. The first time the server was nowhere to be found for almost 30 minutes. After we finally ordered we barely saw them the rest of the night. The second time, the hostess was very rude and didn't say one word during our entire interaction which was weird and off-putting. She brought us waters and slammed them on the table and stormed off. The other servers were dressed very unprofessionally. One was wearing huge baggy pants and had dirty unwashed hair. Our server was not very attentive. We ordered one of the only beers they had and were told it wasnt cold. We ordered ranch and they brought us out what was essentially a container of mayonnaise. I mentioned it to the server and she said she didn't like it either and that its always different. It's not that difficult to make ranch or notice how bad it is and fix it. There doesn't seem to be training or management very involved in caring about or implementing quality at this restaurant

Her ID had a small dent in it -- still clearly valid -- and instead of handling the situation appropriately, the security guard snapped her ID leaving it almost completely in half. Destroyed it. Then turned her away. That is not only disrespectful, it's completely out of line. Security's job is to verify IDs, not damage personal property. There are proper procedures for questionable IDs, and this was NOT one of them. No apology, no attempt to resolve the situation -- just unnecessary force and a complete lack of basic respect. If this is how they treat people at the door, I can't imagine how the rest of the establishment operates. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else where staff know how to handle situations professionally. I'm just curious - is the security guard now going to pay for her new ID?? This is OUTLANDISH behavior coming from a plain old Jane of a security guard. Clearly he didn't make the cut at the police academy...

However Aguilas took the cake for putting the Dive in Dive bar. We came in one weekend afternoon to shoot some pool after having run into the owner down in Rocky Point some time ago at his other nice bar with the same namesake. We also saw what he did to renovate the famed Nugget into a modern Mexican Cantina in Maryvale, so what could go wrong. First off the bartender who was a younger lady seemed more interested in her phone than taking orders and seemed a little bummed to work but I dont blame her I dont want to work. I can say the drinks were reasonable and they did have seltzer options for the wifey. The ambience was pretty white trash even for the westside and that's coning from white trash growing up on the westside. They do have two pool tables that were well taken care of but ac was spotty depending on where you stand. They also had smoking which was new to me outside of legion hauls and it got unbearable when two people lit up at once. However, the hypocrite that I am thought it was cool that I could vape like a teenage white girl without hiding it from the gestapo so kudos to them for pushing the boundaries. Nonetheless cigarette smoke is nasty and still dont understand why people think others want to huff their blow back. Maybe im allergic or something. Now from the rumor meal I gleaned that the owner has a dog that runs freely and I heard others brought their dogs. They do have a back patio where I saw a guy let the dog out to do his business, around that same time my wife found a dog turd in the corner of the bar which grossed her out. I gave a few thoughts about picking it up, but a man has to have a line in the sand on cleaning up another man or dogs crap. We shot quite a few games of pool mainly cause we had the bartender turn on the juke box in-between her youtube videos and put in a few songs only to find out there was a queue jammed up that was 15 tracks long. I have seen some reviews that the bathrooms weren't clean but in this case it wasnt true other than the aforementioned doggy poo corner. They do have darts and I must say great billiards tables with a lot of travel. I also had a former coworker and huge fan of Aguilas tell me they have a cool basement at nights for added festivities which sounded really cool and gave me valley bar or downtown Cornish vibes if they can pull that off. Honestly aside from the cigarette smoke and my wife getting skeeved out by doggie doody I could have over looked the sub par service. Maybe ill go back for some basement raves on the weekend and change my perception on the place cause life is to short to just have one bad experience. Edit: I forgot to mention the Drive thru liquor store in front of the bar. We went inside and the dude working the counter was awesome and they had a great beer and liquor select, see its just hard to right a bad review without feeling like a Karen but that liquor store and personnel is 5 stars
