Some really great things about this place. Thoughtful, relaxed and dark decor -- deep wood grains abound. Unique signage and lighting. Excellent beer selection. I had the dry Irish stout and it was outstanding. The host thoughtfully asked if I preferred a high top or a low top table before seating my party. Very thoughtful. Our server was Vanessa. She gets her own paragraph. Friendly, attentive, detailed, responsive, engaging -- clearly in the zone and was very happy to be there. I work in customer service. I know what it's like to have good people. Vanessa is exceptional. The food was great. We got a couple of burgers. Tasty. I had the onion rings with mine -- a very generous portion and also tasty. Chose to come here for dinner with friends. Chillax vibe. Host was very friendly and we made it for Trivia Tuesday!!!!! Our server was very attentive and checked on us eer so often. We all got beers. They have rotating craft beers and on this trip, they had a selection of 12. My colleagues got strawberry Bitch and I got the nitro blonde honey ale called Show your Stripes. We ordered the jalapeko Bomber Dip to start - it came with 3 pieces of toasted baguette and chips. This dip is delicious - nicely spiced. Our entrees were delicious as well. One friend got the biria dip- half portion with cheese curds, the other friend got holy yum burger with cheese curds. I got the thai chicken sando with sweet potato waffle fries. Chicken was suitably spiced and tender. Pickled onions were delicious paired with the carrots and sauce. Ooo n the waffle fries- crispy and delicious. It stayed crispy for very long too. Even though we couldnt eat anothet bite. - we challenged ourselves further with donuts lol And boy were we glad we did! Crispy tender lightly dusted with cinnamon and sugar. Returned here after previously having a great experience having lunch with friends. Enjoyed the patio and expected the same for an evening experience. Live music was nearing the end on the patio and the night temp was comfortable so we sat outside. There was a medium size group by the couches and we sat at a nearby table. Initially the waitress was attentive, she gave us waters and silverware. Soon she became distracted talking to the group about traveling destinations and her upcoming trip to Hawaii. This was not a big deal until we waited 30 minutes to place our order and she still never came back to our table or even acknowledged we were there. We watched this waitress engage in a lively conversation even kneeling down by a customer and looking at pictures on his phone. What??? Are you working or socializing? We left without placing an order. Being ignored for that long even in plain sight of the server is unacceptable. This was a very disappointing experience and we won't be back. read more

We were driving through Phoenix and stopped for lunch and met with a friend that lives local and suggested this as a great place off the freeway for us to meet him. Turns out it was very convenient to get off the freeway and get back on to be on our way and ended up being a wonderful restaurant do you sit and visit and have a great conversation as well as great food. We were so into the visit. I forgot to get any pictures after the food arrived but everything was wonderful both the guys ordered a burger and I ordered a pretzel with beer cheese. The guy has tried a few different beers and I had a Moscow mule and we ended up having a great time. I would definitely visit again! We visited on a weekday during lunchtime and it was not very busy or loud so it made it great to visit. The staff was attentive and they have a ton of choices on the menu for everyone!! First time here today and stopped in right at the end of the lunch rush. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful - very quick and responsive. We ordered the fire burger and the Arizona hot chicken sandwich. Both were good, however, there was no spice /heat with the chicken sandwich. This was a surprise birthday party for me at that time. It was an unknown Restaurant but now I know that it wasn't just any restaurant. It was a special restaurant. They specialize in really really good foods that you don't normally see on the menu and I had the chili Verde that was off the hook. I'd like to give a shout out to Earlier, my wife with the help of Taylor Davis Director of operations, set up a birthday party for me in the back and I did not know that this was going to happen. When I got there, we were greeted very politely and professionally and seated, and everybody got to their table, which was set up for us with balloons and everything. Then we had that flurry of excellent customer service by Vanessa, Jasmine, and Addison. It was amazing. They were always always smiling, always cheerful coming to the table making sure that our ever need an expectation was met. What a excellent choice of a place to come. I have to say that if I had to do it again, I would do it again here. The food was excellent. The place was clean. They have little mist machines to keep you cool cooler when you're outside on a hot day and air-conditioning inside. Thank you all for making this a memorable birthday. Everyone that came was impressed that had never been there before. I guarantee you you are on their radar now. I wish that I didn't live in another town because I would become a regular. Love this place. Food is delicious with the few things I have had there no complaints and would happily be back to try more. Beer is always rotating which I have a love hate relationship with because by the time I find something I like and come back it's gone! But that I guess is the charm of it. Service is on point and when the server is busy the manager will stop by, or the hostess, someone is always watching and checking. Ambience of the place is industrial which I normally like but the high ceilings can leave an open and echoing to it. Overall go here. Try the food and find a delicious beer on tap. read more

Hits on some, misses on some. But, a decent place. Came here recently for an early Saturday supper. Pretty cool space, open, outdoor and indoor seating. Cool country-centric vibe with live music on certain days. Huge selection of beers, though we didn't partake this time. Had a long drive back to Cali. Must be responsible. Food was a plus on some, a minus on some. I got the Reuben sandwich which was very good. Had a kick to it. Wifey got the mac and cheese which was very good. Daughters grabbed the soppresata pesto pasta which garnered mixed reviews. We also quaffed the jalapeno bomb dip which was solid. Great atmosphere- very fun Service was good. Food eh ... someone of the worst chicken fajitas I have ever had. All of the sides came in these little plastic containers which were melted to the pan. Not enough cheese, sour cream or salad given with the serving. Very small serving and it only had onions so not really "fajitas" Friends ordered the beef fajitas to share and there definitely wasn't enough for two and they also had just beef and onions. My husband had the Irish Egg Rolls for lunch. Said they were way too rich and should have ordered to share with the whole table vs ordering as a meal. Absolutely delicious! It is so good to see more fun and vibey places coming to the West Valley. Great atmosphere and even better food. I would have drank two more beers if someone had just asked.... We don't mind waiting. There were 5 total tables of people. Our beers were empty on 3 different occasions for at least 10 min. This was my first time visiting their location and the vibe was cool, a chill place to hang out and grab some apps. The food didn't quite hit the mark. The many for food isn't very big, but it all looked pretty good. We got two Holy Yum Burgers - one bison and one beef. My husband loved his bison burger. While I was nervous about the horseradish sauce, I ordered it with my burger and I'm glad I did. It wasn't over powering and everything was quite tasty. I used to love this place, but it seems to have lost its vibe, or is just slipping. At least to my wife and me last night. The decor looks old-school craft brewpub with stolid and functional chairs and tables. The bar is still attractive, so that's a plus. The prices seem higher than what the ambiance presents. The Oktoberfest Märzen beer tasted like a dark amber ale with no hint of German malt, lagering, or proper decoction mash method. It tasted okay, but was not memorable in any way. SM needs to send someone to the Denver area to see how some of their craft breweries are doing incredible German full-quality beers that transport a person to Munich, or Hamburg, or Frankfurt, or ... Even the cans I brought back from Colorado in August are better than this seasonally named beer on tap. I should have ordered the award-winning Clandestine Scottish ale. A 3% surcharge for using a credit card is an insult. I almost reduced my tip because of it. Or go cash only like Roman's Oasis. Enough of the negatives. The service was excellent. Nick was spot-on as a great waiter/server. The SW salad was an outstanding example of the style, spicy, and full of variety. The "Fog" hazy New England IPA was fresh and delightfully tasty. The cheeseburger and fries were made to order and tasted fine. If SM's bottom line is doing fine, then don't change much of anything. Otherwise, a makeover might be in order. read more

All four of us noticed it immediately. Beer should have been served in cold glasses. Don't think my white wine was served from the fridge. Way too warm. We hoped to have hazy IPA, beer selection not what we had hoped for. My husband was hoping to get a flight but didn't like the selection. That's actually why we picked the restaurant. I received many recommendations to go here, but I don't really drink beer so I kept putting it off. I was so wrong. They have a great menu and full bar including a pretty good whiskey selection. I ordered half order of nachos and a "new fashioned". The nachos were loaded with toppings and even though a half portion, filled me up. Which was too bad, because there were so many other great things on the menu I wanted to try. The drink was amazing served with a large square ice cube in a large glass. I doubt my picture shows how generous of a pour it was the largest old fashioned I think I have ever had at a restaurant. It was also very tasty so I got a second. Glad I wasn't driving! Awesome place with plenty of space indoors and outdoors. The patio area is great for bigger parties and there's a nice fire pit out there for the cooler weather. The burgers were delicious! Good service, drinks and food until the nausea, vomiting and diarrhea kicked in. I called to speak to the manager. They have yet to return my call. Luckily I got over it on my own but my husband requried an ER visit with 2 bags of fluid n several IV meds. 3 loads of laundry later (from failed attempts to make it to the bathroom) fluids, BRAT diet n popcycles we will survive. But we will never go there again and do not recommend Saddle Mountain Brewer Company for anyone. Things happen, but when I called whoever answered the phone dismissed my concerns and I'm still waiting on the manager to call me back. I did make the health dept aware. read more

Came for a few drinks. It was fairly busy inside, but we were able to find two seats at the bar. Service was a bit slow to get the bartenders attention, but once we did it was great. What a great date night!! My husband and I went on a Thursday night and there was a live band on the patio where we were sat. They were really good and did a great job entertaining everyone. The food was amazing- and big portions. I was even able to take some home for leftovers!! We each got a beer and they had a nice selection. Our server was attentive and very nice.
