I love popeyes chicken. I grew up eating it and it may be the ultimate comfort food. The spicy chicken is the best fried chicken you will find at a chain and better than most restauraunts. The batter fries so crispy it l and the skin is so decadently good. The chicken strips are also great and equally tempting. The sauce options for the strips are enticing. The side options all good. The fries, though frozen, are well seasoned and great as long as you eat them hot. Cold they are terrible. The gravy for the mashed potatoes is the best gravy I've had at any fast food place or chain restaurant. You can see all of the bits of flavorful goodness and the mashed potatoes are yummy for what they are. The red beans are creamy and so good, but they never get the bean to rice ratio right. The dirty rice is usually moist and flavorful. The coleslaw is good but with the other options available, why bother. The buttermilk biscuits cannot be rivaled by any other restaurant. Try them with honey for a next level glutton experience. This particular popeyes has good food but they always leave things out of your order if you go through the drive through. If you double check every time, it's a great place it grab some food on the go. If you get strips or anything with sauce, just make sure it is in the bag! They forget it 90% of the time. Ask for napkins, plastic forks, etc. The apple pies are actually fried! Thus, they are crispy and far better than Mcdonalds are now that they bake theirs. The pies are rolled in cinnamon sugar and the apples taste fresh. I am addicted and they are a big motivator for me to choose Popeyes for dinner. read more

Went here every day for lunch back when I worked in the area. Great service and tasty food. Also they have the movie theater soda machine, so lots of options. Would consider it one of the better popeyes in the area. read more

So I finally got a chance to try out Popeyes new chicken sandwich. I've seen so many post on Facebook people debating if it's better than Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiche. I ordered the spicy chicken. Their chicken were served on toasted brioche with sliced pickles. The chicken gets its kick of heat from a spicy mayo sauce. Chick-fil-A is my all-time favorite place to grab my chicken sandwich so I was so surprised how much I really enjoyed Popeyes new chicken sandwich. Popeye's chicken sandwich has that bonafide crunchy taste we all love from their fried chicken and their pickles are slightly bigger and crunchy than Chick-fil-A. Over all I would have to say that I'm a big fan of Popeyes chicken sandwich at the moment but that won't stop me from going back to Chick-fil-A because I like some greens on my sandwich which I don't think Popeyes offer. So if you are wondering why I didn't give it a five stars is because of the drive thru cashier. When I drove up to pay, all she did was reach out to grab my credit card. When she returned my card, she didn't even bother to get my attention to retrieve it back. She looks like I was wasting her time and she didn't even bother to make an effort to reach out thru her window so I can grab my card without me having to almost unbuckle my seatbelt to get it back. I saw that this Popeyes opened up where the old furniture store used to be. I decided to give it a try. It was like every other Popeye's restaurant I have been to. Basically fast food chicken for dirt cheap prices.With one important difference, it had good customer service. The lady behind the counter was not only friendly but incredibly flirtatious as well. I actually think that is a good thing because it help give me a boost to my self confidence. When I was here I got the 11 piece because it was on sale for $11.99. Our family has tried over and over again to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it has proved to be a complete waste of our money and we will NEVER return to this location again. Granted, the food was delicious - this time. BUT as usual the service was lousy, and our orders were incorrect. They completely ran out of coleslaw, and we had to wait for our chicken to be cooked since they only had spicy. This should not happen on a Sunday evening. The manager should have prepared for this and started cooking earlier. While we were there yet another customer came in and returned the bulk of her food because she had been given the incorrect items. Disappointed in my first chicken sandwich experience. Instead of serving it warm, it was served at room temperature because they were making them and piling them up on a tray. When they got to our order, they pulled from the bottom. The bread was mushy and the chicken wasn't warm. Very disorganized staff with no leaders in the bunch, and everyone just standing around except the 2 ppl making chicken sandwiches. The front man Charleston on the register at this Popeyes really put a smile on my face. It's very rare these days to go to a fast food joint and find a smiling face that makes you feel like he's ready to take care of you and then actually do that. This young man was great with taking care of us and our order even taking the time to make sure the lid on my cup was secure. The little things can make the biggest impressions! Went to the drive thru at 10:15pm and all they had was mild legs. The store doesn't close for another 45 minutes and they are just too lazy to cook chicken. The customer service is horrible at best. Personally I think they need to fire the night manager and drive thru worker for being too lazy. I suggest you avoid this Popeyes if possible. I've been here several times since the first review and the service has gotten worse. I wrote several reviews to Popeye's on the back of the receipt but I don't think they care. read more

This is the worst Popeyes in New Orleans. From first visit to foolishly going back there has always been an issue with my food order, or cashier not taking a simple order correctly, to the rudest manager if you have a problem. Probably the worst fast food restaurant I've ever been to. Server was rude, short, not helpful, at best an ungrateful teenager. Got a Diet Coke which clearly had been poured much before I got there, as it was both warm and diluted and half carbonated, the top was covered in soda which spilled all over my shirt. Then had to pull over for them to bring me a basic chicken tender meal and had to wait 15 minutes for the people who I watched leave for their smoke break come back and then bring my food to the wrong car and subsequently me. Of course, then they brought my half warm food over with my soggy have-been-sitting-for-a-half-hour fries. I'd tell you the servers name, but not surprisingly, I didn't get a receipt. When people say fast food workers don't deserve more money, this restaurant is the pinnacle of their argument. Go somewhere else.
