this is the second time that I've ordered from this particular location here on a business trip and the burger literally looked like it's been ran over by a truck and Box is ice cold and zero appeal. lDRY AS HELL and salty look at the cheese awful granted I ordered through DoorDash, but the burger was done in my app in less than five minutes. I don't understand how you can make a double burger two strawberry shakes and some onion rings and 5 to 10 minutes . I am so livid so I decided to call the store to speak to a manager because you know dealing with DoorDash is like talking to a wall so I call and speak to this manager he was zero help and very u professional what a representative for your company. I do understand that I ordered from a third-party but the point is that you guys cook the food? The point is that the food was cooked at Shake shack so whether a third-party got in here in 10 or 15 minutes being that my hotel is directly down the street makes it worse i believe 2 miles. it's is ridiculous to me. The food came out. I don't know if it's been sitting under the light or whatever but the cheese looks horrible. It's been almost 5 years since I've been to Shake Shack, so we decided to stop by and try it out again. The inside was pretty standard and neat, but there are multiple touch screen kiosks where you can place your order which I found really convenient. Service was also okay, but just standard. For our meal, we got their Big Shack Burger ($11.99), Parmesan Garlic Fries ($4.99), & Large Pomegranate Sweet Basil Lemonade ($4.99). Everything was delicious! You could tell the burger was made fresh compare to McDonalds or Burger King. The Parmesan covered fries dipped in their garlic sauce added some rich flavor to the fries. The pomegranate lemonade was not overly sweet and had a sour pomegranate taste to it which I really liked. Even though our meal tasted great, the sizing of the food was really small. In contrast to the drinks, the burgers and fries came in one size. We felt like it should've been bigger for the pricing of everything. This place has many places though out the USA. Mainly in eastern side of the country. They are starting to expand. They originally started out in New York City selling hotdogs. As they grew, they expanded their menu. One of the many reasons to go here is to taste they're made fresh to order food. Vast expansive menu. Especially to note they added doggie treats and ice cream. So I assume pets are welcome? Be sure to keep them leashed and mindful of your surroundings. For your information. You will love them cause they are one of few fast casual restaurants that caters towards your allergies and dietary needs. They have few spots in the Crescent City. We just happen to be in Metairie location. This particular location is a little different and easier to get to. Besides the traffic. They cannot control. I like this location better since the parking lot is right next to it. Unlike other locations. Tend to be a bit of walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. This happens to be right next to it. This has an outdoor seating. Cannot say much of the view but it is very nice and enjoyable. Definitely recommend it as long as weather permits. It is semi shady and with ceiling fans and few plants to make it more comfortable. As we walked in they have a large lobby/dinning area. They have several small ordering tablets on the side for people to order. They do not accept cash at time I believe? (Card only) We started out with: The Big Shack - Two quarter-pound*, 100% Angus beef patties made to order, topped with secret sauce, green leaf lettuce, American cheese, pickles, tomatoes, and onions on a three-layer toasted potato bun. ShackBurger - angus beef cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. Chicken Shack -Antibiotic-free, hand-breaded, white-meat chicken breast over lettuce, pickles, and buttermilk herb mayo on a toasted potato bun. All are hard wood seats with no padding as far as I know. No drive-thru at this time. Why would you want fresh food in hurry. In my opinion. If you are in the mood for a fast casual meal. Best Burger for "fast food" a restaurants. The environment and design are also very pleasing.

Really wanted to like this place, considering I'm from New York and went to the original in Madison Square Park, and frequented the Eighth Avenue location. But now? Pass. Burger was fine, but they only fill the $6 Mac and cheese container up 1/3 of the way, which equates to about $.50 per noodle. If you're giving a tasting portion, use a smaller container so customers don't feel ripped off. Add to that they request a tip of 20% when ordering at a kiosks. Now, I'm in the service industry and HEAVILY support tipping everyone, but the fact that you ask for the tip prior to the service, and I have to get up and get my food when you call my number? Won't be back and I advise everyone to go to a local hamburger place. read more

To us the burgers were better than the good shakes! We got each a burger (see pics), a garlic fry to share and two shakes. The total was $40+. They do offer military discount if they take your order at the front. The inside was colder than a hospital. I have gotten food here a few times and I feel like they are a little slow at times or the food comes out cold. They offer military discount in the front which is a plus since you are paying premium prices for these burgers. The ambiance is standard to any fast food restaurant. So during my first visit here all of their computerized ordering system was broken so everybody had to wait in a long line to order. I almost walked out and left as is NOLA tradition as we have way too many great spots to eat to ever waste time standing in line like a tourist. Fortunately... or so I thought the line moved really fast so I was able to get my order done in a reasonable time. Well after putting my order in I ended up having to wait for my food for over 40 minutes which for a "fast food" style joint that is quite far from really reasonable. When I finally got my food it was cold and just overall a VERY underwhelming experience. I'm left with the conclusion of why would I ever want to eat here again as Five Guys blows this place out of the water if I need a fast food style burger. I really prefer the local burgers in NOLA and Jefferson Parish which on average are FAR superior to Five Guys and all the other fast food burgers and I would prefer dining in one of the local spots 99% of the time over any chain. The interior tables and floors were dirty and had food and drink spilled all over the place. So I gave it a good effort just so I could fairly evaluate it and my conclusion is "OH HELL NO!!!" Awww man they've got something great over here. The Koran BBQ chicken sandwich is truly top tier deliciousness. Wasn't to crowded inside and the plexiglass around each booth, along with sanitizer and signs to wear a mask were great covid touches. Back to the sandwich it wasn't a large chicken sandwiches but sized pretty ok. Everything of course is a-la-cart I got the fries with the special Koran sauce. It tasted ok. Parking lot is very tight; located close to Lakeside. The restaurant is cute but food is nothing to write home about. I ordered the white truffle 'shroom burger with an order of crinkle cut fries and a fifty/fifty to drink. My burger was fried well and cheesy but the taste was bland. Fries were similar to Ore-Ida. I had to use multiple cups of ketchup to get a little kick of flavor. Fifty/ fifty drink was not sweet. Refills were free but I did not even want a refill! So honestly, I was pleasantly surprised on how good our food was. We tried shake shack for the first time because our kids school was doing a promotional night. We got the food to go and I was really nervous about fries and a burger coming home soggy and cold. But! Everything was SOOO good. The burger was perfect, the fries were crispy and still warm. Im not a huge fan of crinkle fries but these were crispy and the box they came in was cardboard and had holes in it. They obviously have perfected the art of take out! They were out of fries which was kind of a bummer, but they had shakes and burgers, so that was the important part. They also had the new chicken nuggets at this location, but for me, they were a hard pass. Nothing extraordinary. What was extraordinary as I remembered though? The Shack Stack and the salted caramel shake. The Shack Stack was perfectly seasoned, hot without being volcanic when I bit into the cheesy stuffed mushroom and a great balance of textures between the crisp mushroom and the juicy burger. I added red peppers this time and it was a nice little kick of flavor. The shake was cold and sweet and salty and exactly what I wanted after that heavy burger. The "Applewood Smoked Bacon" was not smoked at all but just plain bacon. And the cherry peppers were sour and bitter tasting. The bun of the burger was also mushy and too soft. Just another note, the customer service from a management standpoint really is first class. I was given the wrong sandwich during a visit a couple of months ago (chicken instead of the cheeseburger I ordered). I made a comment about it in my check in and was immediately contacted by Shake Shack. They asked for a little info and then quickly sent me a credit to return ($5 more dollars than I spent!) in order to make up for the mistake. Finally able to try the hype that surrounds Shake Shack. The ordering process is probably the best part of the adventure. It wasn't convoluted or difficult. We ordered a large lemonade, a lettuce wraps burger, chicken sandwich , fries and a shake to end the meal. The lemonade, to me, as very sweet. Reminiscent of simply lemonade. The shack burger was good but messy for a lettuce wrapped option. The chicken sandwich was a disappointment. the chicken had no flavour. it tasted like they fried it but forgot to season it. I'm glad we have a new burger joint in the area. I usually prefer more local burger joints but once in a blue moon...I'll try out a chain burger joint. If I can do 3.5 stars I would! I'm really torn with my rating. There was no major issues other than the lack of parking spaces and lack of working kiosks. We had to park at the grocery store and walk over. Service was good. Everyone was nice. Place was surprisingly clean for as much business this place drums up. I like that when I ordered at the kiosk, I was able to Apple Pay and they text my phone when the order is almost complete! Seating is plenty but being a new place...it's always packed. Downloading the app is a great idea but it's usually an hour wait for food to be ready. So plan wisely. It's a good burger...don't get me wrong but it wasn't like the most memorable burger. The chopped cherry topping was tangy. I love the shake shack sauce. I also enjoy a flat top cooked burger with a toasted bun with melted cheese. However my bacon was weird tasting...it's tastes like it was thrown in a deep fryer then stored in the fridge until it's ready to be heated up for the sandwich. The meat was thinner than I imagined it to be. I would have loved some options for maybe arugula or adding a fried egg on top...but again...this is a chain burger joint so they may not be able to change their menu like that. I didn't get the fries tho bc it's generic fries that I can get anywhere or make at home. My friend ordered the fries and I tried a few....it was crispy and not greasy. If this was hand cut fries....I'd be all over it! Now the best part of my visit....it's the ice cream! It's a dense frozen custard! Omg soo creamy! The inside is just your average dine in layout, nothing too fancy. They do have outside seating. When you walk in, they conveniently divide the lines for those that are paying cash only and go to the front or those that pay with cards go to the touchscreens along the wall to order more quickly. I've been to shake shack before but not many so I'm not sure if that's something that others have too so that's a really awesome feature. The 'shroom burger is so good and I get that one every time just cause the mushroom in the middle oozes cheese and sauce and it's delicious! Tried this place twice. 1st time we sat in, it was dirty, loud, and staff were on their phones and not paying attention. Asked for food more than once and finally they realized it had been sitting there the entire time so everything was cold. 2nd time we ordered pick up. Not busy, place was empty. Waited 30 minutes even though we pre-ordered. Staff person left and went outside to his vehicle. I asked another staffer, again they realized food had been sitting on shelf the entire time I was waiting. Since day 1 their ingredients always seem to be fresh, I always get what I'm expecting and it truly makes me happy. The only thing that I will say is that it's a little on the pricey side.
