After the Tulane game we tried to get a Lyft/Uber but the wait looked to be over an hour. We decided to hit up the area to see what was around but surprisingly a few of the local bars seemed to be closing up shop or were packed. We ended up at a little plaza and saw the sign for Bayou Hot WIngs. We made no attempt to look this place up and went in to check it out. What a good sign, first picture we saw was Adam Richman and there was a small blurb that he called this one of the best wings. We decided to check it out and there was no turning back....mainly due to the hour long damn wait for a ride back downtown NOLA. I ordered the hot wings and a drink. My friend got hot wings and some fries. The place had a lot of people placing orders and seemed super popular. It didn't take long and we were out of here with our wings. We decided to eat on some tables that were outside. Beautiful night and the wings were really good. There was pretty decent texture on it and it was sauced well but not over sauced were the wings were swimming in sauce. The heat wasn't bad, a decent level for sure. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area...or would come after every Tulane game. Thanks Adam Richman for dropping in here and convincing me...pretty easily after seeing your reco here.

Wanted to try this spot, since I'm at the UPS frequently. Both food items were okay. I've had better, but both weren't the worse per se.

This is probably unbelievable considering that I'm vegetarian but Bayou Hotwings is a major part of my life. I used to get the chicken here (so juicy) and then I became vegetarian and continued exploring the sauces. My boyfriend and I have probably spent over $100 or $200 on sauce bottles here when we visit, they're just unlike any hot sauce we've tried anywhere (and we are addicted to hot sauce). Please, even if your vegetarian, if you like spice come try Bayou Hot Wings. It's easy to find parking, good for take away or eat in at the tables outside, and the staff is super nice. My only complaint is that stomachs have a capacity and the food doesn't just magically appear at my table in California. Thankfully, I can have Beast every morning with my eggs thanks to their bottles for sale.

I don't really care for hot wings but this joint does sling some great burgers, chicken sandwiches and other nice items.  The prices here are also a great value and you get a large portion of food for a very reasonable price.  The main downside of this place is it really isn't built for dining at the location as they have very limited seating inside and a table outside.  They also only have bottled drinks and no freshly brewed iced tea which always saddens me.  The quality of the food seems to have degraded during the pandemic situation and they have added stricter rules for ordering so now you have to call ahead or use their website to order so no more walking up to order. Overall though for a large delicious burger with nice fries this is one of the best values in the area along with offering some surprises on the menu you won't find in any other hot wing place outside of NOLA. I ordered the bayou hot boy wings. Fries were good. Blue cheese was the best I've ever had. Wings were good but there was a sweetness about it I didn't like. Overall I would go again.

I had to come back to Baypu Wings. Had to get started on my trial run of the other flavors. I split my flavors in half. My son loves lemon pepper so that was his half. Although it was delicious when I got it last time, I was ready to explore the other flavors. So I went with the chipotle BBQ. Wow, it was everything. Powerful deliciousness. Two great flavors so far. The only negative I had with my experience this time is, I didn't like how they broke the wings. I had maybe two drummettes while they served just the wing portion instead of an actual entire wingette. Other than that, the flavor was popping. The struggle is to get past the two flavors I already tried and branch out. I think I'm up for the challenge though.

Finally made it to Bayou Hot Wings and glad I did. The first thing you will notice is the great attitude of the Allen and Kyle the two chefs behind the all the creative flavors. It's awesome to see people take pride in what they do and do it so very good. Ordering is simple, look at the board, pick your flavors and your done. I had the garlic butter parmesan and Korean BBQ. Both were crunchy and packed with flavor. The fries are crispy and delicious. The only negative is that both the wings and fries came out a bit cold which for the Korean BBQ made the sauce thick and for the Parmesan the cheese didn't melt all the way. Hopefully next time they will be hot and I can get the full experience.

Disclaimer, this was an online order so I can only comment on the food. First off, these have got to be the tiniest wings I've ever had. Mostly all breading and very little meat. It genuinely looks like pigeon wings, they're that tiny. The flavor of the wings was really good though. We also got the chicken pesto wrap. It was mostly lettuce and didn't taste like pesto at all. It had good flavor, but disappointing for sure. The alligator bites were star of the show. No complaints on those. Great breading and great flavor. It was also frustrating that our wings were not separated by flavor, they were just thrown together in the same box.

Great food, great service!! Worth the drive from French Quarter to try frog legs and alligator from a local favorite while on vacation in NOLA.

please note: this order came through Door Dash I am usually not a wing person, but Bayou Hot Wings will change your mind and life. we ordered from Door Dash last night from them. a 10 piece Korean bbq, hot wing, pepper jelly chicken tenders and fries. the korean bbq was amazing. cooked to perfection and crispy. I could eat this marinade on anything. the hot wings were great but the homemade ranch really amped up the flavor. the fries were not the best but since it was delivered, it could have been from the box it was in. the real superstar was the chicken tender. this tender was thicc, juicy and cooked perfect! it's hard to describe how this chicken tender was made because you can taste the care it came from. overall, if you're not a wing person or love wings in general; Bayou Hot Wings is your hook up.

No walk up orders taken. You have to scan the menu which takes you to a page where you can place your order and then you'll pick up when they are ready (going as contactless as possible which is understood and smart). We ordered: Gator bites (for the husband), Garlic Butter Parmesan Fries, and 6 Hot Wings (3 Korean BBQ and 3 Bayou Sweet Heat). Gator bites: This was all my husband, I do not enjoy gator bites. But my husband said it was really good so I trust his judgement. *As a matter of fact, he said they were so good it overshadowed the mediocre wings* Garlic Butter Parmesan Fries: I had high hopes for this but unfortunately it wasn't as good as I expected. The shredded Parmesan was not melted all the way *minus 1 star* which made it hard to eat but on a good note, the fries had a good texture. I probe should have ordered them plain. The wings: The Bayou Sweet Heat had 2 chili signs and the Korean BBQ had 3 chili signs but ironically the Bayou Sweet Heat seemed more spicy than the Korean BBQ. We ordered that one since my husband doesn't handle here as much as I do...we didn't realize it would be spicier than he can handle *minus 1 star*. Overall, would say it's a good stop for a quick bite. I do like the fact that they are contactless. It isn't an actual sit in restaurant though but there is a table right outside. Just ONE table. So if others are sitting there, your only option is to take it to the car or home to eat. Luckily for us, we were able to sit on the table since we were the only ones.

Unfortunately, the customer service was a completely different experience. When I walked in and said I was there to pick up an order, the man and woman behind the bar looked at me strangely, whispered to each other, and then asked for my name. After confirming it, the gentleman only told me the total. No greeting, no smile, and I wasn't asked if I wanted to order a drink or anything else. When the woman handed me my food, I asked if I could have some ketchup. She responded with an attitude, saying, "There's some in the bag." I thanked her and left. When I got back to my work van, I opened the bag and found there was only one packet of ketchup. The food was excellent, but the service left me feeling very unwelcome. Based on how I was treated, I couldn't help but feel like I was being judged differently because of my ethnicity. I can't say for certain that was the reason, but that's honestly how the interaction made me feel. I hope management takes customer service seriously because everyone deserves to feel welcomed and treated with respect.

Turtle Bay -- 4…read more Listen... this is MY spot. One of my favorite places and honestly one of the only places I'll sit down and eat in the French Quarter. I've been coming here for about 6 or 7 years now, and they are easily in my top three. The vibe? Dive bar, laid back, no fuss... but the FOOD? Don't sleep on it. Their menu is solid and I still haven't made it through everything yet. I've had the wings, which we actually got this visit but ate them so fast we didn't even get a picture. That should tell you enough right there. I've had the pizza, and my husband usually goes for a burger. Never any complaints. They've got plenty on tap and the drinks hit too. I love a good Electric Lemonade, but this time I kept it simple with an Angry Orchard. Now let's talk about what keeps me coming back... The steak. We got our old faithful, one of their signature steaks, the 10oz petite ribeye. This is exactly what made me fall in love with Turtle Bay in the first place. Normally it's around $13.95, comes with a twice stuffed potato and a slice of garlic bread. A DEAL. This time it was a little higher, but still under $15, which honestly is still more than fair with how prices are these days. And when I say it be hitting... it be hitting. Only reason this visit didn't get a full 5 stars? My steak was cooked a little over my liking. I usually go for medium, and this one leaned more done than I prefer. Not horrible, just not my usual perfection. But everything else? Still solid. The staff is always nice, always welcoming. I've never had a bad experience with them, and that matters. And I already know I'm coming back because I keep hearing the crawfish is FIRE. Yeah... I need to see that for myself. This is my happy place. Open 24/7, consistent, affordable, and just a real gem in the French Quarter. The Bay is Babe. Period.

Instead, there is a sense that every component of the business has been thoughtfully orchestrated. The staff further reinforces this impression. They are exceptionally friendly, courteous, and accommodating, but what stands out most is their knowledge. They are able to answer questions, offer guidance, and navigate the extensive menu with confidence, making the experience both comfortable and enjoyable. And the menu itself is a destination.
