It's the service side where they fall down. They have hover been overt,y rude, they're just not very friendly, and seem to border on rank incompetence. Neve, NEVER go to the drive through. Your order will be wrong three out of four times or more. It's so consistently wrong, I'm not sure even incompetence can explain it. They must just stick whatever is in hand in a bag and gamble that people won't look, or won't cone inside and complain. You'd think that just plain old incompetence would on,y screw up one order in four or five. Second, you can order the very same order three or four times in a row, and the cost will vary every time. It's like you order and the cash register spits out a random number between $25 and $32. Finally, and worst of all, they are slower than Xmas. It's like they're walking around in molasses back there. You order, they have you repeat it three or four times, and still can't comprehend it; their memory is terrible (e.g. "I'll have 2 pieces of spunk dark meat with slaw?" Two or three pieces? I give Marshall's pop eyes a minus five star review. I was there this last Saturday 5-16-2026. Me and the wife drove up to the speaker behind the store and waited for a person to ask what we would like to order. Sat there 10 minutes and nobody said anything, so I pulled around to the window and sat there another five minutes before the person came to the window and asked us what we had ordered. I said nothing yet, that's why I pulled around to the window because I thought the speaker was broken.( the person had on her headphone with Mike on it) She asked what we would like and I ordered. She took my order and asked if we could pull over and park. ( When we pulled around to the window there was a SUV parked one car link past the window and it sat there while I ordered and also another 30 minutes afterward. I noticed them eating their food and a lady got out of the passenger seat wearing a pop eyes shirt and took the trash into the store and then came out later with an order and handed to the driver and she went back into the store and he left) After sitting for over 30 minutes I backed up and over to the window and asked for my money back. The young lady said she couldn't do that. She would have to get the manager, so she closed the window and I sat another 10 minutes waiting, finally I waved at the young lady and she came back to the window. I said I would like to speak to the manager, she said the manager was there but was down the road and on the way. I waited another 15 minutes. No one showed up, they couldn't give me a refund I never received a receipt. I was at the window at told the young lady I would cancel the transaction on Monday morning. I couldn't because I paid with bank card. So I'm out $36.11 and will never go back to Marshall Tx pop eyes.I had to rate this review a 1 star to post it. Then was told come inside even though I ordered online approximately 25 minutes before hand. I got inside and there were 2 people in front of me we all waking 15 minutes to be served then both people walked out in frustration as the person working right in front of us didn't even acknowledge that we were standing there. After 10 more minutes, I was finally asked by the same person who told me to come inside what I would like to order I told them again that I had a mobile order and she said oh let me get working on that. If I wouldn't paid for my food already, I would've walked out 20 minutes ago with the other two people. I've been to this location many times. I've never had any issues. The chicken is ready, hot and fresh and the restaurant is new and clean. I'm glad someone invested in this place for Marshall. When Popeye's spicy fried chicken is done right, it's hard to beat...and so far, this place does it great. A tip: Popeye's bone-in chicken is better than any of their boneless options, in my opinion. It is spicier than most places. It would be hard to top Church's down the road which is the best chicken joint around. This is good and will just get better. Cherry cream pie was very tasty. Atmosphere is just a typical franchise restaurant but at a busy intersection for us. Price is under $15 of course. No Diet Dr Pepper. Only Diet Coke. It is most definitely not fast food. Then again, you wouldn't expect them to anticipate people coming to the restaurant at Noon on a weekend. 4 cars were pulled over and only 1 table for dine in.
