Amazing cocktail options with knowledgeable bartenders. We ate brunch and were very impressed with our food, way above expectations! Cute place with more elevated food and drink options than our me might assume. Definitely recommend!

Restaurant experience was fantastic. Every experience well curated. Pleasant greeting, great suggestions from menu, excellent seating, clean, and conscientious of guests. Pimento cheese was fantastic, I do not enjoy pimento cheese often, came with toasted bread and fresh greens. Special was excellent, i do not eat greens, but enjoyed them immensely, black eyed peas great, chicken fantastic, came with homemade cookies. Lunch came covered by silver charger. Definitely recommend for pleasant lunch with loved company.

OMG. I have never eaten lunch here before. I often pick up their casseroles to take home. But today was the day. Salmon Salad on fresh organic greens and veggies. Perfect melt in your mouth croutons on the side! And a cookie for dining in.

This was a favorite of our at the old location, then it moved here to Charlie's and served only dinner and now they have been back to the lunch business for a month. JG score of 5/10 this visit (+2 for food, +0.5 for atmosphere, 0 for price, +1 for Diet Dr Pepper, +0.5 for service and +1 for we will return) We started with the Crabcakes as an appetizer. We got these years ago and they were great and this time they were also good, not standout but good. "J" got the Reuben and it had to be the largest Reuben we have ever seen and it was very good= probably 2 Reuben's anywhere else! "G" got the Shrimp & Grits and it was good, not as good as the Reuben. Also, the sandwiches come with the Blue Frog battered type fries which are excellent. We took a coworker with us, Wil, and he got the Chicken Fried Steak with gravy and potatoes and a salad and said it was all very good. Overall, the food today was good. The restaurant is downtown and set in the Charlie's Bar area. Nice place and seating. A good meal will be over $15. They have Diet Dr Pepper. We were one of two tables occupied there this visit so our service was friendly. We will be back for the pecan pie cake we heard about.

I had a barrel ages old fashioned. The bread was fresh and tasty. The menu has quite a variety...steak, chicken, seafood...something for everyone. We were going for steak. A filet was ordered and two of us ordered the 14 oz ribeye. From what I saw on other tables steak seems to be a favorite. The waitress came back and took salad orders, how we wanted the meat cooked plus another drink if needed. I ordered medium well. After a bit i order another old fashioned. The first one went smooth and good. Not too much ice, just the right amount of liquor. Chilled and good. The wedge salad comes out and it's covering the plate. Thousand island dressing plus real bacon bits. A nice touch. Just enough dressing. After a bit the ribeye arrives. It too covers a portion of then plate. it's a bit peppered but cooked right. The waitress asked us to cut into the meat to verify it was cooked right, they all were cooked as ordered. Truly a treat. The steak is gone, a little bread is left on the table, half the old fashioned is remaining. Definitely will return in the future if I'm in Shreveport. Between the service and quality of the food it's a must visit if you're in town.

2Johns is probably the "fanciest" steak spot in the Bossier City area. Located on Airline, the…read moreinterior is fairly upscale with full service. To start, the menu pricing is definitely reflecting the upscale steakhouse that it is going for. Their Caesar salad was solid (4/5); I wish they had some anchovies on it though. I got the prime New York strip for my main (16 oz, $68) with a requested medium rare cook. The steak came out a bit tough, even for prime, and the seasoning was overly heavy on the pepper and the fat on the side of the steak needed more rendering. The cook was closer to a medium, which is fine, but it didn't help with the toughness. The sentiment of the group was that there was too much black pepper on all of the steaks and that the cuts were a bit tough (3/5). The sides were hit and miss; the Mac and cheese was solid (4/5), mushroom risotto was a bit meh (3/5), and sauteed mushrooms were also a bit bland (3/5). The crème brûlée was solid as well (4/5) besides the whipped cream on top. Overall, there were some hits and some misses but the toughness of the steaks and the over seasoning brings the steak dinner experience down slightly, especially at this price point.

The atmosphere is gorgeous, the service was impeccable, and every bite of food was unforgettable. It was absolutely worth the drive, and we'll definitely be back. We started with the smoked duck charcuterie board and it was incredible and normally I don't even like duck. The steak was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. To top it all off, the limoncello dessert was hands down the best dessert I've ever had. This wasn't just one of the best meals I've had--it may honestly be the best restaurant I've ever eaten at!

It only has 10 tables, so it is reservations only. Wanting to get on the experience, I made my reservations and set my expectations high. Driving there was a treat with the scenic views. Their signs on the main road outside of the restaurant make it very easy to navigate to the restaurant, even with limited visibility at night. We were immediately greeted by the valet driver and then the General Manager, who seated us promptly. (He visited with us after the meal and checked to make sure everything was up to our liking.) The inside was very intimate. The 10 tables were perfectly spaced to make the ambiance as good as it could get. It felt like you were alone, but not so quiet that it was uncomfortable either. Waters were poured and warm French bread was served. We were off to a great start. The waitress took good care of us overall. Her recommendations were helpful and her demeanor was very pleasant. We ordered the lobster mac and cheese along with the mushroom cap appetizers - both were flawless. For entrees - we ordered the ribeye and halibut. Both were well seasoned and excellently cooked. The fish was flavorful and flaky. The Brussel sprouts that we paired with the entrees were a poor choice. They felt soggy and not the flavor we were wanting. This was the ONLY complaint when it came to food as everything else was cooked to perfection. At a restaurant of this caliber, the small details are what make or break the experience for me. The drink service was very slow and the drinks themselves felt pretty watered down (not strong). It was close to 15-20 minutes between when I had finished my first drink and was asked if I wanted a second one. I asked for blue cheese crumbles with the steak and the waitress never brought or mentioned them. I asked for French fries in place of the scalloped potatoes, and the steak came with the scalloped potatoes instead. When I asked for fries to come out in addition to the steak (thinking the kitchen may have messed up), the waitress sounded like this was the first time I had asked for fries. I would definitely come back. But for the price tag that comes with this place ($375 was tab for 2), I hope the small details are capitalized on next time to secure that 5 star review.
