Half the store has no idea what they are doing as far as food safety is concerned. If quizzed, I doubt half of them could even describe proper hand-washing etiquette. Chicken is allowed to wildly swing into temperature danger zones, timed-out product is rarely discarded, and temp probes are never used. Oil is very rarely filtered as it should be. Managers come in drunk, work drunk, and smoke on the clock. There is a metric ****-ton of nepotism hires; half the store is either related or, in some cases, former relationships exist. There are at least two firearms in the building at all times on people's persons, despite the clearly displayed sign on the door prohibiting them. There's a total lack of glove changing, lid keeping, and product discarding--especially considering raw and cooked items are being handled with the same gloves and time-cheating is rampant. Not one employee greeted me and then they took 5-7 minutes to even take my order. Another woman entered right after me and they took so long, she left. I was hungry enough to wait. I'm shocked this place passes food safety because it was sketchy behind that counter. It was relatively enough and quiet but the drive-thru was busy. Several ppl entered after I'd ordered. I got a two piece mild with mashed potatoes and an additional side of cajun rice. The chicken was good, crispy but the mashed potatoes could've used more mashing and the rice could've used a bit of water or broth as it was dry. I recently saw photos shared by someone who works at this Popeyes showing severe mold in the kitchen area, including around prep surfaces and storage zones. The photos were taken this week (July 2025). I was shocked to see how bad it was, this isn't just a cleanliness issue, it's a serious health code violation. I have eaten here before and had no idea. I don't want to harm anyone's job, but I do believe customers deserve to know whats going on behind the scenes. DO NOT COME HERE, worst fast food restaurant I've ever been to. We tried here again because we thought maybe the last time it was an off night but it's been months and it's actually gotten worse. When we walked in half of the people waiting were there to get their orders fixed due to missing or incorrect items. It took us 15 minutes to get our order taken with 3 people in line, then our order was complete...so we thought. After confirming our order with the cashier our order was missing an entire combo ( we only ordered 3) and the sides for one of them were the sides to the that was missing, so we reordered the missing combo and said 2 Mac and cheese sides since it was a platter but they charged us for a Mac and cheese for a third side and gave us mashed potatoes when we never ordered it. The workers had attitude any time someone asked for anything, they told us they could do plain wings with no sauce and failed to mention they are just ghost pepper wings which my son can't handle. While we were waiting for our food even more people came in with messed up orders, even someone's DoorDash order so I wouldn't even feel comfortable ordering here from house since what you get is likely going to be wrong in some capacity. I would like to start off saying that they need to closed this Popeyes down. poor management. I only put 1 star because their customer services sucks. Today my boyfriend went to go bring me 6 piece hot wings with a spicy chicken sandwhich and mac and cheese. He dropped off my food to me just to find out that it Labor even what he ordered for me. They are obviously cooking food in old grease. I ordered in the drive thru and waited in line for about 20 minutes only to drive home to see this. I had to drive all the way back so they could refund my order. There were other people in the restaurant also returning their meals. The manager says they have a broken machine. If that's the case, don't serve customers. Not only does it look nasty, it smells burnt when you open the box up. All employees just hang around, having conversation as if there isn't 8273 people waiting for food. When they finally go catch the chickens, cook it, and give it to you, it's either wrong, or not nearly enough. The food is decent. The biggest issue is the incredibly long wait times. It must take 5 minutes per car at the drive through. That may not sound like a lot but when you're car number 7 its a pretty big deal. Thats more than 30min in the drive through. I really dont understand why it takes so long. The food is ready when you pull up and sitting on a warmer, or at least it should be. It appears the food is ready when I get to the window. There are certainly enough employees in the building so under manning isn't the issue. It just befuddles me as to how it takes so long to take an order, put in a box, and collect payment. It is on my way to other places, so I checked for the next 6 days. They didn't have spicy. I don't think they make it there. And the place was filthy! Hands down the worst fast food place I've seen in a long time. Smelled like puke when you walked in. Staff was nice but waited over 15 min just to find out they're out of chicken sandwiches...at 1pm on a Saturday. That's poor planning or they just didn't want to serve us. It's noon on a Sunday. All of your doors are locked. There's a line wrapped around the store. Some people are just picking up orders. One lady is out here with no car and wanted to make an order. I just returned home after driving 20 mins there and back and waiting 25 mins in line to find that some of the food is missing, even though before i drive off I confirmed my orders were in the bag with the young lady at the window. I wasn't giving napkins or any honey for the biscuits, cocktail sauce for the shrimps, honey mustard for the strips, even though I asked for them when I placed my order - but that is minor to the fact that I order 5 meals and only got 4. The pile of receipts littering the counter and crowd of people in the lobby waiting to pick up orders should have been a tip-off. I must say, it is pretty darn good!!! The bread was hot n buttery. The chicken breast was very flavorful, crispy, & juicy. It also came with spicy sauce & pickles. Not a bad sandwich AT ALL!!!!!! Everyone knows Chick Fil A's chicken sandwiches are awesome, one of a kind. BUTTTT I highly suggest you try the Popeye's sandwich st least once, and then you can form your own opinion on the now famous chicken sandwich debate.
